Chapter 2987: The Realm of Oceanus III

Adrian led Altum with him and arrived at a lone island that is in the middle of the vast ocean. Altum recognized this place and it was none other than the zone of the ocean that could be called neutral. It is where all of the people living in the waters know not to do anything because this was a neutral zone decided by the Titan Oceanus and the God of the Seas Poseidon.

Unlike what the people of the land are to their gods, the people that live in water are all those that revere their deities incredibly well that they can easily descend. The only reason why the players do not know about this is due to the fact that they cannot explore the deep parts of the waters in the world. After all, even players that can traverse underwater have yet to fully go into the deep ocean and deep seas.

"Why did you want to meet here? Is there someone that will come and escort us? Do not tell me that you have another girl and you are taking me to be your accomplice! I am very loyal to Lady Frey! I shall not be here to witness you and your other party?!" Altum stated.

"What kind of trashy web dramas have you been watching now?" Adrian stated as he irked.

He always knew that Altum has wild imaginations because he often talks about the web dramas he watches. He always liked those cliché stories that involve cheating and getting revenge. This was mostly due to his mother’s influence as Altum told him that she reviews web dramas as work. She would often drag him with her to watch these web dramas and her review blog is actually quite famous.

"So, I am now ’another party’?" A voice teasingly stated as it actually came from the waters.

A merfolk player that is wearing the items and armor that merfolk uses suddenly came to the island. She then proceeded to use some sort of magic by singing a note and her fish tail suddenly transformed into legs. The one that came is none other than a person that participated in the Pandelympics in the past. The merfolk player known as Renyu has appeared before them which made Altum pinch his cheek.

"It is a pleasure to see you again, Renyu." Adrian stated.

"Again? This should be the first time we are meeting but I did not like the way I got defeated in Pandelympics. If you call that our first time meeting then this would definitely be our second time meeting." Renyu stated as she then looked at Altum that has eyes that are frozen in shock.

"It seems your companion over there has frozen in place. Is he going to be okay?" Renyu added as she pointed towards Altum.

"Dude! What are you spacing out for?" Adrian stated as he pinched one of the scales on Altum to wake him from his daze. Adrian can actually say that Altum has basically either fell love at first sight or is very easy to freeze up when meeting beautiful women.

"I am awake! I can dive into the deepest oceans!" Altum stated as he is actually using default fish head form instead of his usual human face form. He said that the oceans are treacherous and vast and one needs to become intimidating.

"You are quite funny, fish head. I assume you are one of the Deep Ones. There is a colony of you in some parts of the seas near the merfolk race but we are strictly told to not go there since the waters are deep and cold. If knew that all of you were this cute up close then I should have went and see for myself." Renyu stated which made Altum smile funnily and it became an interesting sight to see a fish headed human grin like he became infactuated.

"Please do not mind what he said earlier as he just likes to think of cliché and trashy dramas he watches online. He has probably told me a hundred stories with the same plots but different characters." Adrian stated.

"I was just joking besides Lady Frey will skewer him alive if he does have one. She might not show it but we almost died from such a freezing aura before when another player started to flirt with our guild leader. You should have seen it because it was like that cliché drama that I watched back then." Altum stated and Adrian smiled at him with his signature ’shut up’ smile but he did not stop and still continued.

Altum only stopped talking when his body suddenly got flung towards the raging ocean. He then returned back to the shore with face that practically replied with obedience. Renyu could only freely laugh at their antics as she really liked their dynamic. She actually felt rather envious of the fact that they are this close. Her previous guild was too rigid and only wanted results but they were all two faced.

"Why did you suddenly get shy at her?" Adrian sent via a whisper.

"Do you not know her guild leader? She is Renyu! She is basically an international model! She is quite famous amongst the players that can live on water. I am geeking out here because I am her biggest fan!" Altum replied.

"Oh! Really?! Thanks for letting me know." Adrian replied back.

"You really have no interest in lives of players outside the game despite them being literal celebrities. Then again, when you have someone as beautiful as Lady Frey... I can understand." Altum replied but no longer sent anymore as Adrian sent him flying to the ocean once again.

"Why did you suddenly send him flying again?" Renyu asked as she became bewildered.

"Oh! He was making a funny face at me which annoyed me." Adrian replied.

"You two are really close. Makes me jealous of how close your guild members are with each other." Renyu stated with a weak tone.

"Do you want to join our guild, Lady Renyu?" Altum asked as he returned back to the shore.

"You just met her and you are already asking he to be part of our guild?" Adrian stated in a teasing tone.

"What?! She is great at fighting and I think she will mesh well with the others. We need more members of our water club!" Altum stated as the water club he meant are the players that can live in water that are part of the Pantheon Guild.

"Okay. Please do not tease me anymore. I know that I sent you that message but I did not think that you would actually reply." Renyu stated which shocked Altum.

"So, is this really that scenario!?" Altum interjected.

"Do you want to be sent flying farther?" Adrian stated and Altum immediately shut his mouth.

"Do not misunderstand, cute fish face. I need help in a quest that I am taking on in the Forbidden Ocean. Your guild leader offered to help me in exchange for my expertise in navigating in it. I have basically mapped most of the safe zones around it but I am having trouble actually going in. A powerful barrier made with old runes is separating the area that I need to enter." Renyu stated as she needs to complete this mission in order to become a demigod merfolk.

"Oh! Sorry about that. Please just ignore my comments like that. The guild leader does it so you can do it too." Altum stated.

"Do not worry. I kind of like it because I also like those trashy and cliché dramas." Renyu replied which made Altum’s larger fins twitch.

"Please do not tease him too much, Renyu. He might fall in love with you at this rate." Adrian teased.

"Okay. This big sister is just teasing all of you that seem to be younger than the two of you. As long as you can help me in entering the barrier then I shall help you in navigating the Forbidden Ocean." Renyu stated.

"Thanks. I know that I brough Altum but he has not yet been in this part of the ocean. We might get lost since underwater is different from the world above after all." Adrian stated.

"Let us go then. We should not waste time and the waters around the Forbidden Ocean is also troubling right now. It is best we move as swiftly and quietly as possible." Renyu stated.

"Why? Did something happen?" Adrian asked.

"The underwater realm seems to be somewhat quiet now when it is usually clashing and parties held weekly. It became unusually quiet for a few days now which is why it is not a good omen. I think there might be another underwater war that might happen since this is usually one of the signs. Underwater kingdoms fighting each other is not something new but getting caught in one is not a good thing. It gets incredibly messy which is why I never really participated in one." Renyu explained.
