Chapter 3002: Enter the Realm of Oceanus

Adrian, Altum, and Renyu were now standing in front of a massive gate that has energy fluctuations that are not yet seen anywhere. Even Adrian is impressed that such a thing is actually here in the bottom of the ocean. This is truly something that was crafted by the gods and not just by normal beings.

Adrian inspected the runes on the gate and immediately knew that this was actually the formation that is supporting the barrier covering the entire forbidden ocean. He thought that he could just check the barrier and everything would be easy but it seems that there are lots of safeguards in place. The barrier covering the forbidden ocean is not something that can be easily displaced just because you can decipher it.

"Welcome to the gate to the Forbidden Ocean: Realm of Oceanus. This is just one of the gates that lead to other domains but this is the direct gate that leads to the realm of the Titan of the Ocean." The blessed guard of ocean and seas stated as the explanation continued.

Adrian and the others were then given a rundown on what the gates are and what they could do. This specific gate is in the War Council and is actually the real thing that the blessed guards of the ocean and seas are guarding. The blessed guards are not guarding the War Council but the actual gate that leads to a divine realm hiding in the ocean.

They also got an explanation that there are also other gates that connect to other parts of the ocean and seas. This gate the real one that was used to test the mettle of the beings that lived in the ocean. If they manage to activate the gate then they would be able to enter the Realm of Oceanus and get a chance to meet the Titan of the Ocean.

"This is just the entrance ticket to see the great Titan of the Ocean. The real test is if you can reach the great Titan of the Ocean. Lots of challengers tried to do so and were unable to reach our master but he is very merciful. All those that were unable to reach him were appointed as blessed guards of the ocean and seas since he has seen our potential." The blessed guard stated.

Adrian and the others now learn something new and that is the blessed guards are actually beings that managed to enter the gate but fail to reach the Titan of the Ocean. This means that they are either lucky enough or powerful enough to activate the gate. The remaining blessed guards could only puff their chests in pride as they were able to do the initial trial.

"What happens if you reach the Titan of the Ocean?" Adrian asked as he suddenly got curious.

"Our master will grant them a treasure that they need. The First Scylla Queen was a being that managed to do it but she rejected the offer of becoming a guard hence she was given a blessing as well." The blessed guard stated.

"Do you guys like give clues?" Altum asked but the blessed guard can only chuckle.

"I have to be honest but even I myself do not know how the gate activated for me. It might have been my determination to activate it or push through that made it activate." The blessed guard stated which made Altum and Renyu frown as that is basically saying that luck is all you need.

"What the guard is saying might not be wrong." Adrian stated which shocked Altum and Renyu.

"What do you mean?" Renyu asked.

"I mean... the gate responds to strong desire and determination. It is all etched into the runes on the gate but that does not mean it will activate with just that. A sufficient level of strength of mind is needed as well but that kind of thing is a bit vague." Adrian stated.

"Is that so? If that is the case then I should volunteer then! I really want to see what the other side of the gate looks like." Altum stated as he stood on the platform.

"Can you actually open it forcefully?" Renyu asked Adrian.

"I could try but we should also try the legitimate way. It also gives something like a test to Altum." Adrian replied as Altum poured mana into the platform.

Altum’s mana seeped into the platform and the runes engraved on the gate lit up. All of the runes glowed and the gate that was still suddenly became a bit turbulent. The blessed guards would have been shocked to see someone being able to do it on the first try but they learned that Altum is a champion. Such feats should be easy for champions as they are beings blessed by gods after all.

Altum thought it was easy but the strain suddenly entered his body and the power behind the backlash was insane. It was enough to make Altum suddenly scream in pain as the gate actually released energy back. This means that the determination that the blessed guard told them earlier was real and that means the determination to not black out. The pain was so intense that one could just pass out if they were not strong enough.

"The gate is stabilizing. Make sure to hold on for now, Altum." Adrian stated as Altum made sure that he will not pass out.

"Easy for you to say, guild leader! You are not the one being turned into grilled fish!" Altum shouted as a rhetorical response but his screams continued after.

"Can we not help him?" Renyu asked.

"We actually can and you can do that." Adrian stated with a smile as he basically pushed Renyu inside the platform with Altum.

Renyu could not believe that Equinox did such a thing but she could only focus on channeling mana into the platform. She also screamed in pain but her pain tolerance was higher compared to Altum which is why she only released muffled screams. Adrian did not push Renyu out of malice but did so because this experience would be needed for her.

"The platform basically tempers the body so that they may be ready to become demigods. If I knew that there was such a place then I would have brought the other guild members that have yet to evolve. A demigod body training area is not easy to construct that even I cannot create one." Adrian muttered as he watched Renyu and Altum’s body become purified by energy and pain.

If Renyu and Altum learned what is inside of Adrian’s mind then they would be both thanking and cursing him by now. They could no longer do anything but focus as they needed to stabilize the portal they are activating. When the swirling energy finally stabilized, Altum and Renyu could be seen incredibly tired but that was not the end of it. Their bodies were suddenly sucked in by the portal and they vanished from the platform.

"Champion Equinox, they have succeeded in the trial and have entered the Forbidden Ocean: Realm of Oceanus." The blessed guard stated in happiness as there were now beings that can enter the trial once again.

Adrian already knew that they were on the other side since they were sending veiled threats to him in their party chat. Even the elegant Renyu was sending emojis that has controlled anger on it. It was clear that she was a bit angry at Adrian but did not pursue it because she must have gotten something wonderful. Altum was complaining just to complain which just passed through Adrian’s mind before he erased it from there.

"Since they are done, I guess it is time for me to meet them. Please make sure that the Followers of the Watery Abyss are handled." Adrian stated as he needed to give them one more nudge before he vanishes from their faces.

"Do not worry, great champion! We made sure that this is a priority as they made use of something that could dampen the blessing given to us. This is a clear act of hostility to our order as well." The blessed guard stated.

"Good then." Adrian replied as he casually flicked his hand and the gate immediately activated.

Loud gasps could be heard as the blessed guards did not think that the gate would activate with a mere flick of a hand. All of the blessed guards then looked at Adrian as if they were confused. The all thought that he should have just did this earlier and they would have been on their way. Altum and Renyu could have avoided being tested by the platform.

"This platform resonates with divine energy as well. It can be activated when injected at a certain threshold. Please make sure to not tell those two what I did if they question it later. I hope that all of you understands this. Take care everyone." Adrian stated with a smile as he also got swallowed by the gate and vanished.

"Are all champions that scary?" One of the blessed guards suddenly asked.
