Chapter 3004: Forbidden Ocean: Realm of Oceanus II

The Titan of the Ocean Oceanus knows that the demon that entered their waters is special. He is not like the other champions of the Twin Gods of the past. He was unique to the point that he is not such a stickler to the rules. A champion that teeters at the edge of what is legal and what can be done.

"In fact, it is good that he is like that. The past Champions of the Twin Gods were too rigid on themselves that they defied the order needed when it should have mattered. In the end, all of them fell from grace and even betrayed the Twin Gods which became a bloodbath. This champion has flexible thinking while still managing being within the rules.

He also is not reliant on his divine right compared to the other champions before him. The other Champions of the Twin Gods no longer cultivated their own personal power but wielded the authority of the Twin Gods. In the end, when they were rejected because of the wrongs they have done, they sacrificed even their soul to dark and corrupted gods to regain power they lost.

It seems that my brother will still end up pitiful in the end but even the Fates are refusing to divine my brother’s fate. It seems being neutral as always needs to be the case as that shows who shall truly give a peaceful world." The Titan of the Ocean Oceanus thought.

The Titan of the Ocean Oceanus might look like he could swallow the entire world with his oceans and he could if he wanted to but he does not. Due to his unique nature as the Titan of the Oceans and all waters, the Titan Oceanus never suffered from madness like the other titans. He knows that flowing waters can be still and can become a raging torrent when needed.

He is the oceans himself and he also gives life while also being a vast area of death. This made him very unique amongst his brothers that were corrupted by the madness when they could not regulate their emotions. He always thought that he was different from his brothers but he is also cursed by madness like their father. The only reason he does not suffer through it is because he can process his emotions.

The reason why the Titan of the Ocean Oceanus and other titans that remained neutral have not been taken by madness is because they have learned to be mortal. The Titans should have been rulers upon their birth and should not stoop low to the mortals but a certain group did. The Goddess of Life Gaea often disguised herself as a human back then to see the lives of mortals.

Some of the titans followed her ways while the others did not care. When Titans actually learned what emotions are, they are able to suppress the madness. This was something that the Goddess of Life Gaea learned back then. The Goddess of Life Gaea could not speak of it because the madness is a curse. Divine beings that are cursed will be more affected if they learned how to cure their curse.

The curse of madness worsening already had its first victim and that was his husband Ouranos that was struck with the curse. The Goddess of Life Gaea hated herself for having worsen the curse on her husband but she needed a way to cure her children. She managed to control the curse in an environment that she sheltered but it still festered in the end.

The Titan King Kronus became severely affected by the madness and even devoured his own children. As a result, the battle between the Titans and the Olympians happened which bled countless divine beings from both sides. The power balance between then was never in the Olympian’s favor but some Titans decided to abstain and others joined the Olympians.

The Titans that were freed from the curse of madness did not side with those that were devoured by it. In the end, the Olympians won while the Titans were banished to the deep abyss known as Tartarus. This also made the Titans that became neutral owe a debt to those banished to Tartarus.

"Has someone finally been created to kill those devoured by the madness?" The Titan of the Ocean Oceanus muttered as he slightly peeked at Adrian but the latter actually peeked back as if he felt it.

"Where are you looking, guild leader?" Altum asked as Adrian suddenly looked to his upper right.

"Nothing. I just felt like I was being watched for a moment which is why I turned. Do not worry. So, the path is correct, Renyu?" Adrian stated but he is actually looking at the notification he received.

"It seems that the master of this domain is already aware of us." Adrian thought as he wanted to see what the Titan of the Ocean Oceanus will throw at them.

"The path is a bit vague but I can feel a pull in that direction." Renyu stated as she pointed northeast.

Since they already have a destination, all of then swam in the direction Renyu was pointing to. Altum and Renyu did not ride Wisteria because they wanted to hone themselves more. They also will have faster response if a threat suddenly appears. The Forbidden Ocean is considered as a sacred trial by those that are living in the deep ocean after all.

"I am still not over the fact that you made me get my entire body get electrocuted by the energy of the gate platform." Altum muttered.

"You can just say it aloud as I can still hear you. Remember that Wisteria has perfect hearing even in deep waters and her mind is connected to mine." Adrian stated with a chuckle.

In fact, Altum and Renyu wanted to confront Adrian earlier but they could not speak when he said that they gained a lot from that. They wanted to protest but they did gain a notification that said that their bodies have become more adept at handling divine energy. Renyu would have cried in joy for such a thing if Adrian and Altum were not around as this is such an impossible task.

"I did gain a lot from it but you should have at least given a warning." Altum stated as he crossed his hands.

"I was about to help both of you out but I realized what it was doing to your bodies. It might actually be used as a body purifier if done right. I really need those runes and magic circle etched onto the platform. I will ask if I can study and copy them when I have the time." Adrian stated which made both Altum and Renyu have chills.

Just as they were speaking, tendrils made of kelp shot up from a deep canyon below them. The kelp tendrils moved as if they had a mind of their own and they were all trying to capture them. The party managed to move in a coordinated fashion and dodge the kelp tendrils with ease. The only problem is that more and more kelp tendrils tried to grab at them with each one they dodged.

"Can it be cut?" Adrian thought as he told Wisteria to cut it the kelp tendrils using her crystal leaves.

Wisetria released crystal leaves but the kelp tendrils did not show any cuts. Adrian already determined the danger level with just that exchange. He did not waste anymore time and did what needed to be done. Adrian burned 30% of his own energy to create a rift where three of them passed through. When they came to the other side, they were a few hundred meters away from their current location.

"That was way harder than I thought." Adrian stated as he could actually feel that the dimension underwater is challenging to submit. This place is also a forbidden area and a divine realm at the same time which escalated the difficulty even more.

Adrian then closed the rift he created immediately which made sure that the kelp tendrils were not able to follow. The sudden lost of its prey made the kelp tendrils retreat back into the canyon as if there were no traces of it. The ones observing from afar could not believe that they managed to avert a crisis called the Kelp Dragger which could even capture lesser gods.

"That demon is really a cheat code! They were able to escape the Kelp Dragger because of him. Usually, some of the beings that come here would be made as a sacrifice to it for others to escape." One of the smaller divine beings stated as it seems to be one of the children of the Titan of the Ocean Oceanus.

"That is just how demons are. They can wield Origin Magic which even our father could not. It is just merely their ability." Another smaller divine being stated as their vocabulary is almost that of a player because they have interacted with them a lot in the mortal realm above.
