Chapter 3005: Forbidden Ocean: Realm of Oceanus III

The kelp monster was not the only thing that appeared to stop them. The Forbidden Ocean is not considered a forbidden zone just because it has monsters. The entirety of the ocean itself was dangerous as even corals can become something deadly.

They even encountered a field of corals that would shoot poisonous spike at those that enter the area. The spikes also fired at an incredibly speed that it even hit Wisteria and pierced her defenses. The poison was easily nullified though as Wisteria is easily immune to poisons that cannot deal damage to a spiritual body.

The ones that were almost killed were Renyu and Altum but they managed to pull through every single time. Their bodies adapted more and more to the Forbidden Ocean and even Adrian noticed it. Their bodies were being tempered by the dangers of the area which also makes them more susceptible to divine energy. Another dangerous smile crept up on Adrian’s face as he suddenly thought of another thing.

Renyu already joined the Pantheon guild earlier when they arrived inside the Realm of Oceanus. She was trying to get a chance to ask it since earlier but she finally resolved herself to ask Adrian about it. She thought that she would be rejected since she was basically asking the guild leader directly instead of going through the selection test. Adrian was about to bring that up but Altum looked at him with his large fishy eyes.

"Guild leader! The underwater team needs more people! Recruit more!" Altum’s catchphrase that has already entered their conversation every time they meet.

Adrian also knew that the world underwater has yet to be explored because of the restrictions. It is not easy to get treasures that can make people survive at the depths of the oceans and seas. One would need to be of the races that live in water in order to explore the numerous dungeons here.

Adrian also knows that Renyu is more optimized as a support player that deals some damage. She would be the perfect one to be in their guild as support players that can do underwater quests are rare. All of the players that can live underwater like Altum told him that the depths were more about individual strength than group which is why the Deep Ones are an outlier as they work together.

Now that Renyu is a full fledge member of Pantheon Guild, Adrian believed that he needed to raise his guild members to a great degree. He already has a good chance of knowing the item that can turn merfolk into demigods. He believed that this item might need to resonate with her body which means she needed to be ready. He already has some idea because they were encountering more enemies and challenges that honed their bodies.

"Kanlaon, check the areas where the density of the energy is at its lowest. These areas seem to be where body tempering is a good call." Adrian whispered which made Kanlaon grumble a bit but he still made sure to obey his master.

Kanlaon slid away while Altum and Renyu are fighting against krill that launch at you like a bullet. Their bodies were being injured by scratches but their own blood is being enhanced. Adrian is actually quite envious as they can do that when he needed do more in order to enhance his body.

Altum and Renyu managed to defeat the Bullet Krill after an hour as their swarm was more difficult to decimate than they thought. In the end, Renyu had to conjure up a whirlpool and Altum froze them before destroying the frozen enemies. During that time, Kanlaon already returned back to Adrian’s neck and whispered all of the areas that he found.

"Where to next, Renyu?" Altum asked as he ate a pill to heal his injuries as a potion will not work underwater.

"I do not know because it suddenly became even more vague. I thought I was leading us to the location of the thing that I needed but I suddenly felt it no more. I am sorry as it seems I led us to a dead end." Renyu stated as she felt a bit apologetic which is a contrast to her lively tone.

"I think I can feel something in that direction. Also, do not worry about the way as we will eventually reach it. We are not under a tight deadline after all." Adrian stated as he pointed towards an area where it has lots of reefs.

Adrian immediately interjected and also made sure that Renyu does not feel sorry since she is not the reason that they have come at an impasse. He already has an idea of what is happening but he will make sure to cash it in. There are two fine specimens before him and it would be a shame if they will not undergo all of the trials.

Adrian then led them to a reef where the energy fluctuation is also minimal. As soon as they entered the reef, a figure suddenly blitzed towards them like a torpedo. Altum immediately defended against this and slammed his anchor towards it. When they finally got a clear look, they saw shark monsters that are shaped like a torpedo.

Monster Name: Torpedo Shark

The monster that charged at them is literally called a Torpedo Shark. Its body is shaped like an actual torpedo and even glided on the water with minimal resistance. The only thing that it is bad at is the sideways swimming as its body and form is heavily influenced by straight propulsion.

"We can handle one." Altum stated but his words just jinxed everything as ten more suddenly started to launch itself towards them.

"Guild leader! A little help!" Altum finally asked but they turned around and found that Adrian was missing.

"Where did he go?" Renyu asked but the Torpedo Sharks were already near which is why she conjured up a bubble barrier that can repel beings that slammed towards it.

The Torpedo Sharks slammed against the bubble barrier but the first six failed to destroy it. Only when the seventh one clashed did the bubble barrier pop. The other three Torpedo Shark that launched at them were dealt by Altum. He swung his anchor with a chain connected to his arm and bashed the three on their heads.

All eleven of the Torpedo Sharks died as a result of the attack on them. The first eight died from the slamming at the bubble barrier. The three fell from Altum’s anchor and they also learned critical information about this. The Torpedo Shark are not smart and die easily as their health pool is not large. The only problem with them is their speed and powerful attack power as they would bury their bodies onto their targets and devour them from there.

The launching of the torpedo sharks did not end there as they were swarmed with dozens every five minutes. In the end, the two of them could be seen exhausted and battered but they still need to look for their guild leader. As they were about to set out, a voice suddenly called them from behind.

"Thank goodness! I thought I lost you guys for a moment there." Adrian stated as his acting has improved a bit but it was on the level of passable.

The acting was more on the level of barely passable but it was enough to convince the two individuals before him. The two before him did not like overly high-quality dramas and movies. The two before him loved trashy and cliché shows and this also made their detection for someone acting lower. They also have their guards down against Adrian which is why they could not determine that he was actually acting.

"I was suddenly sent to a different dimension where everything was filled with dark bubbles. I only broke through just now." Adrian stated even though he actually manipulated space and hid in a pocket dimension and observed the two of them in their struggle.

"It must have been a Tentacle Witch! They said that there is a monster that can trap you in another dimension temporarily. It might have sent you there and waited for us to lower our guards. Fortunately, it must have seen Altum and I dealing with the hordes of monsters and you breaking the seal. This prompted it to escape instead of going against us." Renyu stated.

"It must be but we cannot be sure since this is the Realm of Oceanus already. There might be more hidden divine ocean beasts around." Adrian stated with acting concerned.

"It must be. Let us rest first before deciding to go to another location." Altum stated.

"Has my acting actually improved!? I always practiced in the mirror in my room as I read that some things can be given by NPCs if the acting is good enough." Adrian thought as he overly estimated his abilities.

"Why is he acting? Also, his acting was crap!" One of the divine beings looking at Altum and Renyu pointed out.
