Chapter 3034: Impundulu Ventus

Before Mera, Causian, and Kholki could even explore the fourth layer, a powerful beam of lighting and blast of wind destroyed them from existence. They were all wiped out without any trace and that also included Adrian and Frey. They were hit by the most powerful attack that the Impunduly Ventus could use and it also rendered the enemy slightly weakened as an aftereffect.

In the end, a raging flamboyant man exited the gaming pod as he immediately went to ask about the events that suddenly happened to them. Mera climbed out of the gaming pod and then contacted Causian and Kholki via the chat function. They have died in the game which meant they could only be ejected out of it and be locked for eight hours from logging in.

The Apostles of Typhon are different from other players as they are locked out of the game with each death. Even revival magic is ineffective towards them which is why each death is a huge penalty to them. This is because their souls are outside the influence of ordinary players from the start. The Apostles of Typhon’s soul do not go to Limbo in their death but their souls are sent directly towards the Altar of Typhon where their bodies recover.

"I am as shocked as you. The next thing that we knew is that we are dead. We were not even able to do anything to avoid it at all. Did you guys capture the faces of those bastards that attacked us with a cheap shot!?" Kholki stated.

"They did not attack us in that sense. It was the boss monster that killed us along with them. We were just very unlucky and got caught in the middle of the battle. They were as shocked us as when we saw them. Their face is also slightly illuminated from my side which made their features a bit too bright to be recognized." Causian replied as he managed to see Frey’s reaction of shock when he saw her.

"I also checked the replay on my end but only light could be seen mostly. The lightning was too bright and too fast that I was not able to see the features of those two players. I know that we just got caught in their deaths but this humiliation cannot be contained!" Kholki shouted as he rages more in the real world than in the game world.

"I could see some of their features in the replay but their armors and faces are already filled with soot as if they electrocuted many times before the final shot along with us. The fact that they made the boss monster in the berserk state means that they have at least enough power." Mera replied as he has already calmed down and became a bit more calculating again.

[You have died. Do you wish to revive?]

"Yes." Adrian’s voice replied to the question as his soul suddenly started the process of being rematerialized.

Adrian’s body that was turned to dust with the Storm Cloud Gale Blast that the Impundulu Ventus released has returned back to normal in an instant. He then looked around and saw that Frey’s soul is also there waiting for her revival. He then activated the Rewind to revive the dead Frey but only in the state that she was before her death. Unlike him that revived to full, Frey is revived to 30% health which is what she had before she died.

"Thanks. You could even revive others and this is the first time I have seen it up close." Frey stated quietly as she pulled a potion from her inventory and gulped it back so she could restore some more health.

"We only reduced its health by 30% and it already became berserk. It then followed up using a powerful skill it has. That boss monster seems to have an aversion to dying which is why it is so powerful. The good thing is that it is currently weakened and cannot detect us at all. Its senses must have been strained because of the powerful attack it used earlier." Adrian stated in his normal voice and the Impundulu Ventus did not show any signs that it detected him at all.

What Adrian said is true as the Impundulu Ventus actually went back to its resting area in order to regain some of the stamina it lost. The Impundulu Ventus is weakened and could only detect threats by around ten meters from it. Compared to before when it could detect any living being inside the fourth layer.

"I feel like we are forgetting something." Adrian stated.

"If you already forgotten it then it should not be important." Frey replied.

"I guess so. It is a good thing that we revived near a safe zone. It seems that safe zones are established when the Impundulu Ventus is in a weakened state. We did not see any of it earlier but once we exit this place then the environmental effects will hit us once again." Adrian stated.

Adrian already forgot about the three beings that were caught up in the powerful Storm Cloud Gale Blast along with them. Adrian did not see their faces clearly as they were the first ones blasted by the lightning earlier and died. The fact that those three died in an instant meant that the Storm Cloud Gale Blast was a skill that is meant to be lethal.

Adrian and Frey could have dodged or escaped using teleportation but they could not as the former used it to dodge an attack. In the end, Adrian and Frey got caught up in the Storm Cloud Gale Blast without any means of escape. They could have lived if Adrian was able to teleport them out of it but the timings were not good for them.

"I might have forgotten because they are not about the boss monster we are currently fighting. Anyways, how long do you think we can manage outside now that some of my soulbounds and Zorya are gone?" Adrian stated.

Frey then went to the edge of the safe zone and raised her hand to the outside area. In an instant, a slightly numbing sensation entered her hand along with powerful wind pressure. She immediately frowned because they could no longer protected by their monsters that could defend against the wind. Adrian only has Wisteria and Kenos left as a viable soulbound to battle the enemy.

Earlier, Adrian could only get protected by his soulbounds and the reason that they even decreased the health of the Impundulu Ventus is that some of his soulbounds sacrificed their safety. Sirius managed to apply the Bleed status effect on the Impundulu Ventus as a last-ditch effort which triggered the berserk status.

Adrian admits that he was somewhat careless earlier but the Impundulu Ventus is different from other boss monsters he fought. Frey is also someone that was not careless but even she could only live that long because Zorya shielded her from a lethal attack against the Impundulu Ventus. It also aggravated the boss monster even more as Zorya’s death made the Impundulu Ventus got a debuff where it gets more damage.

"I guess there is only one way left for us. I need to use the upgraded mirror armament. Summon Chaos Armament Chaos Prism." Adrian stated as he has yet to fully know the usage of this new armament.

Adrian’s form suddenly shifted to a hodded being that has numerous black shadows as a bandaged face. His horns could still be seen but his cloak is different because it is like the night sky was taken from space itself to be mended as clothes. His newly transformed form also has six arms once again but they are now made of darkness and starlight.

The Chaos Prism is also different as it is no longer in the form of a mirror but a crystal made of a universe itself. The Chaos Prism is also hovering near him acting like an eye for Adrian that no longer has any facial features. Frey could see that Adrian has changed form and even she could not believe that his form is cooler than when she transforms.

"What is your plan then? Do you have a way for us to negate the environmental effects?" Frey asked as she is confident that Adrian has a way but she also needs to know what it is.

"If we cannot deflect the effect of the environment then we would need to mold the environment itself." Adrian stated as all six of his hands actually crushed the Chaos Prism.

The Chaos Prism suddenly became scattered stars that changed the overall shade of the space. Even the weakened Impundulu Ventus noticed the shift in the area as its overall control became weaker. It has some control over the fourth layer which is why its body could become electric currents but that ability is suddenly weakened as well which meant it could now be attacked in that state even with physical damage.
