Chapter 3036: Chaos Prism II

Wisteria’s casual attack actually managed to injure the Impundulu Ventus and release its electric current form. The physical body of the Impundulu Ventus manifested and Frey’s body then materialized from the Cosmic Prism World via a cosmic prism that Adrian had created. She proceeded to plunge her spear onto the back of the Impundulu Ventus as it was still able to turn its body.

The Impundulu Ventus did not lose consciousness from the sudden assault of opposing elemental damage which is why it was still able to slightly move its body to avoid the critical hit that Frey planned. Frey could be seen planted on the back of the Impundulu Ventus and it immediately started thrashing around.

The Impundulu Ventus knew that it cannot shake this human away with ease as she was gripping her spear while plunging it deeper into its body. What makes the Impundulu Ventus even more annoyed is the fact that there are spikes on the spear of the woman. These spikes are naturally the passive effect of Frey’s spear which it carried from its original ability before it has been reforged by Aurgelmir to what it is now.

"This bird is definitely not an easy opponent!" Frey shouted as she is now in a crazy push and pull motion with her spear.

The Impundulu Ventus is trying to throw off Frey from its back but it is also greatly damaging it in the process. The pain from having the thorned spear effect from going up and down the body of the Impundulu Ventus is not something normal monsters can tolerate. If the Impundulu Ventus was not a boss monster then it would have already passed out.

The Impundulu Ventus knew it cannot shake off Frey using normal means which is why it decided to activate the sigil on its back despite it still being weakened. Frey noticed that the back of the Impundulu Ventus suddenly glowed. Before she could even react, a powerful blast of wind sent her flying away from the Impundulu Ventus but her spear is still embedded on the body of the boss monster.

Before Frey could be attacked by the Impundulu Ventus once more, a cosmic prism touched her body and she vanished into the domain. The Impundulu Ventus noticed this immediately and glared at Adrian. The Impundulu Ventus knew that this strange domain has been set up by this strange being that appeared but cannot be easily reached.

The Impundulu Ventus could see a physical manifestation of Adrian but it suddenly doubted if that was real. It saw how Frey would just vanish into nothingness and a shard will replace her. The strange domain warped the understanding of reality that the Impundulu Ventus has. It has been trapped in this forbidden zone for a long time after all and does not have knowledge of the outside world.

If Adrian’s face has a mouth, then he would be smiling right now because this is how powerful his Cosmic Prism World is. All he needs is the necessary energy and he is virtually invincible inside of it. The only feasible way to defeat Adrian inside of it is to overpower this domain skill with a more powerful one. Still, Frey still gets damaged but most of it is just being absorbed by the special effects of the Cosmic Prism World.

"I left my spear on its back. Send me back." Frey stated.

"Do not be hasty for now. We do not know what it can do at its peak power. Being careful and exhausting it is the best possible solution." Adrian stated but Frey could hear the tone of enjoyment from his speech despite not having a face.

"You are enjoying this too." Frey replied with a smile.

"I never met such a perfect sandbag after all. It is difficult to find an opponent this sturdy that does not break easily." Adrian replied honestly because this is the truth.

Even Frey knew that this also applies to herself, both her and Adrian’s strength is already at the 0.1% of the playerbase which means only boss monsters can really pose a threat to them. The fact that they can enjoy the battle without any interruptions from other weaker monsters is practically bliss for them.

"Can you not retrieve your spear on its back?" Adrian asked as sending Frey now would be dangerous because the Impundulu Ventus is thrashing about.

"I cannot. I am currently activating its hidden mechanic where mana thorns are being released from the spear tip. This is the reason why it is not getting pulled out despite the Impundulu Ventus moving erratically. I can also observe that the Impundulu Ventus cannot use its Electric Current Form which means it cannot shift in form when something physical is inhibiting its body." Frey deduced and Adrian nodded.

If the Impundulu Ventus could shift its form then it would have done so already. It would definitely make its body unable to be damaged by the physical aspect of Frey’s spear. In its other form, the body is purely made of energy which means the spear would just drop down. The fact that it cannot shift into the other form means the restrictions of the Impundulu Ventus would be that it is not bound physically or something impaling it physically.

"Let me try." Adrian stated as six of his hands suddenly vanished from his body.

The six hands then manifested as six cosmic prism hands that made a grab to the Impundulu Ventus. All six hands did not appear small as they were large enough to actually grab at the Impundulu Ventus. The Impundulu Ventus tried to escape but Frey suddenly poured more mana into her weapon which made the wound explode in blood.

The Impundulu Ventus could not escape as six large cosmic prism hands gripped at it. The six hands crushed the Impundulu Ventus but the boss monster would not let anything happen to it. Despite the pain from the spear embedded on its back, the Impundulu Ventus once again used the powered of the Wind Elementum Sigil on its back. The Impundulu Ventus exploded with pure wind elemental energy and destroyed all of the hands that Adrian created.

Adrian’s hands vanished and his body looked like he was amputated but that does not mean the Impundulu Ventus escaped unscathed. The six cosmic prism hands exploded using Chaotic Dispersion and heavily damaged the Impundulu Ventus in the process. Cosmic dust also clung to the body of the Impundulu Ventus as a result which started to weaken its body. This was the hidden side-effect of the destroyed chaos prism body parts.

Adrian’s missing hands manifested after a minute of the Impundulu Ventus trying to expel the cosmic dust on its body. Frey then vanished from his side and appeared next to a cosmic prism Adrian created from the dust that was his empowered hands. She managed to latch onto her spear once again and onto the back of the Impundulu Ventus. She was now determined to drive her spear through the Impundulu Ventus.

The Impundulu Ventus became weakened after using the power of the Wind Elementum and also got weakened even more when the cosmic dust clung to its body. The Impundulu Ventus could not believe that the warrior woman was back on its back again. The only problem is that it could not shake off Frey like it did before. The Impundulu Ventus was too weakend to instantly activate the Wind Elementum again.

"Perfect chance!" Adrian stated as two of his actual hands and another hand finally regenerated.

Adrian used all three regenerated limbs to create the cosmic prism hands once more. Unlike before when he failed, the three hands managed to actually hold down the Impundulu Ventus. Frey noticed this detail and immediately used up all of the energy that her special form could manage. The powerful howl of a snow wolf echoed as all of it has been turned into strength which made Frey be able to plunge her spear deeper onto the Impundulu Ventus.

The Impundulu Ventus felt the pain of being jabbed by a weapon that has been used to kill divine beings. The surging pain is very new to the Impundulu Ventus as it recklessly released lightning from its wings and talons. It then proceeded to ram its body onto the large floating islands while Frey was on its back. It was now using the environment to scratch off the itch that is on its back.

The sudden explosion of lightning from the Impundulu Ventus also shattered the cosmic prism hands that Adrian had regenerated. The cosmic dust fragments clung to the Impundulu Ventus once more but Frey was not safe. As soon as Frey’s body touched one of the cosmic prisms, her real body got a copy that is still holding onto the plunged spear while Frey was sent out of harm’s way which means at Adrian’s side.

"Thank you." Frey stated.

"Do not mention it. The Impundulu Ventus is now only 30% in health. We should prepare." Adrian reported.
