Chapter 512: Master Dexter Is Missing
Chapter 512: Master Dexter Is Missing
I stood there, still invisible, my heart pounding as I watched Diana’s face. Her eyes were filled with real, raw worry — worry for me. The same woman who had just threatened to burn down an entire organization and coldly ordered her people to "just die" if they failed, now looked vulnerable and anxious, all because she thought I had disappeared.
Yeah... now that I’m actually here, how are they ever going to find me? I thought, a strange warmth spreading through my chest.
Grace immediately dropped to one knee on the cold floor, bowing her head in complete submission. "Boss... I am willing to receive any punishment you decide. We were keeping a very close eye on Master Dexter’s safety the entire time, but the moment we received news that you had been taken into custody, we pulled every single available person to rescue you. That’s why we temporarily lost track of him..."
Diana’s expression remained tight with tension. She pressed her fingers against her temple, clearly torn between her anger and her deep concern for me.
After a heavy pause, she spoke firmly, "I will deal with the matter of punishment later. Right now, your only priority is to find him. Go. Quickly. Use every resource, every contact we have."
Grace nodded sharply and stood up, ready to rush out.
Before she could leave, Diana added, her voice softer but still urgent, "Start the search at the amusement park. He... he must still be waiting for me there."
She turned to Grace with clear, precise instructions. "Drop me off right at the main entrance. After that, you and the team will protect us from the shadows. Stay hidden. It’s not the right time to reveal my true identity to Dexter..."
"I don’t know how he would take it." Diana let out a long, tired sigh, her usual icy confidence cracking just slightly. "Just... make sure he stays safe. That’s all that matters right now."
I continued running invisibly alongside their car as it sped back toward the brightly lit amusement park. The moment the vehicle stopped near the entrance, I followed closely. Diana stepped out gracefully, her long white legs catching the colorful lights of the park.
But her face was etched with tension. She scanned the crowd anxiously, her eyes darting left and right, desperately searching for any sign of me.
I decided it was time to end the act. I created some distance, deactivated God Speed, and let my body return to normal speed. Then I started jogging around the park, pretending to look worried and lost, occasionally calling out her name under my breath.
A few moments later, I spotted her walking briskly in my direction. I immediately ran up to her, putting on my best anxious expression.
"Where did you go?!" I asked, breathing heavily as if I had been searching frantically. "I was looking everywhere for you! I thought something happened!"
Diana’s entire face softened the instant she saw me. The cold, ruthless boss from the interrogation room vanished completely. In her place stood the gentle, warm Aunt Diana I had spent the day with. Her eyes filled with visible relief and affection as she looked at me.
"Oh... I went to the washroom," she said smoothly, her voice light and apologetic. "When I came out, I couldn’t find you anywhere. I got so worried and started searching for you, too."
I crossed my arms, pretending to be annoyed while my heart raced for entirely different reasons now. "You should have at least told me before disappearing like that! I was running around the whole park like an idiot. I really thought something bad had happened to you."
Diana gave me a soft, almost guilty smile and raised both hands playfully. "Okay, okay... I’m really sorry, sweetheart. It won’t happen again."
She stepped closer, gently took my hand in hers, her touch warm and reassuring. "Come on, let’s go eat some ice cream now. My treat. That will make everything better, right?"
Before I could say anything else, she laced her fingers with mine and pulled me gently but firmly toward the colorful ice cream truck parked nearby.
We stood in line together, her hand never leaving mine. She ordered two large cones — strawberry for herself and chocolate for me.
As we walked away from the truck, the cheerful chaos of the amusement park surrounded us once again.
Diana took a slow, deliberate lick of her strawberry ice cream. Her soft pink tongue traced the creamy surface in a smooth, sensual motion, catching a small drip that was about to fall. She closed her eyes for a brief second, savoring the sweet taste, then licked again, her tongue moving slowly around the curve of the cone.
A tiny bit of strawberry ice cream stayed on her lower lip, and she delicately licked it off with the tip of her tongue.
I couldn’t stop staring.
Something inside me shifted in that moment. Watching her like this — gentle, playful, and unknowingly seductive — made my feelings crystal clear. This wasn’t just affection for my aunt or godmother anymore. I really loved this, Diana. Not in a familial way, but deeply, romantically, passionately.
The fierce, protective ice queen who was ready to destroy anyone who threatened me... and this soft, blushing woman who held my hand and licked ice cream with such innocent sensuality. Both sides of her were pulling me in. I wanted her. All of her.
My chest felt tight with realization. Even after seeing her dark, powerful side — the way she commanded fear and loyalty — I couldn’t deny it anymore. I was falling hard for my own godmother.
Diana noticed me staring at her and tilted her head cutely, a playful smile dancing on her lips. "What? Is there something on my face?" she asked innocently, before licking her strawberry ice cream once more. Her soft tongue slowly traced the melting cream, completely unaware of the intense storm of emotions raging inside me.
I quickly shook my head, trying to hide the blush creeping up my neck. "No... nothing. You just... look really happy right now."
Diana’s cheeks flushed a soft pink. She looked down shyly for a moment before meeting my eyes again. "Why wouldn’t I be happy? Today has been really great... spending time with you like this, laughing, riding those crazy roller coasters... it feels like I’m young again."
We continued walking side by side, enjoying the sweet treat and the lively atmosphere of the amusement park. When we finally finished our ice creams, Diana delicately wiped her lips with a napkin. But I noticed a small smear of pink strawberry cream still sitting adorably on the tip of her nose, making her look incredibly cute and innocent.
I couldn’t help but chuckle softly.
Diana wiped her lips again, raising an eyebrow at me. "What? Why are you laughing?"
