Chapter 900: Chapter 1117: Dumb Celebi

Then Jade posed eight more questions, but no matter what answers Celebi gave, Jade said they were all wrong.

Finally, Celebi snapped angrily, "Then you tell me—what are the answers to these ten questions?"

Jade shook her head: "I don't know either, but whatever you say is definitely wrong."

Celebi felt its entire world collapse, and its expression turned blank. It had never once considered that these questions might have no answers.

Or rather, the "answers" were entirely up to Jade. Even if you gave the correct answer, she would still say it was wrong.

After being dazed for a few seconds, Celebi suddenly shot up from the sofa, hands on its hips, glaring at Jade furiously: "Are you messing with me?"

Unexpectedly, Jade nodded: "Yeah, didn't you say you weren't dumb? Celebi, you're the dumbest one."

As she spoke, Jade even made a funny face at Celebi.

'Damn—you can do that?!'

Julian looked at Jade, stunned. Were kids nowadays all this clever? Good thing she was messing with Celebi. If she'd turned that brain on him, even he might not have handled it.

"Ahhh! I'm going to fight you!"

Celebi's mentality completely collapsed. The fact that it had been played by a three-year-old was unbearable. It waved its tiny fists and lunged at Jade—

But was immediately grabbed and held back by Jirachi.

"Celebi, calm down! Jade is still just a child!" Jirachi hurriedly said.

"Yeah, I'm just a three-year-old kid. Celebi, you've lived for over a thousand years. You're not going to bully a three-year-old, are you?"

Heard another way, that sounded like: 'You've lived a thousand years and your IQ still isn't as high as a three-year-old's. Proof that fries really do make you dumb.'

Jade's sarcastic tone was maxed out, and Celebi instantly went emo. It wilted like a frostbitten eggplant, its spirit completely drained.

At this moment, Julian felt that even if he placed a fried chicken leg in front of it, Celebi probably wouldn't even glance at it.

"Jiggly-puff-Jiggly~"

Julian's phone suddenly rang.

He glanced at it. It was James calling.

"Hello, Grand-uncle?"

"Julian, something bad has happened—"

Click!

Julian hung up the phone immediately.

On the other end of the line, James was somewhat dumbfounded, listening to the busy tone on the phone.

"Maybe it's bad signal?" he muttered.

The secretary beside him couldn't help but say, "Could it be that Champion Walker hung up on you?"

'Damnit… that really does seem to be the case.'

James took a deep breath, suppressing his anger. If it weren't for the urgency of the situation, he would have flown straight to Lake City to personally "educate" Julian.

The call connected again.

But before James could even speak, Julian's weak voice came through the phone: "Grand-uncle, I've been running a fever lately and not feeling well… cough… If there's something important, just handle it yourself…"

"A meteorite is falling toward Lake City. If you don't stop it, it won't just affect Lake City—the surrounding cities will also be severely impacted. The meteorite will strike in half an hour."

"I'm sending you a video. Watch it yourself."

Click!

James rushed through the explanation in one breath because he was afraid Julian would infuriate him to death.

With all that power, why did he insist on being so lazy?

Meanwhile, Julian was completely stunned after hearing James's words.

'What the? Why is a meteorite suddenly falling, and it seems to be quite destructive?'

'And where is Rayquaza? Has that guy been slacking off these days, ignoring large meteorites entering its territory?'

Filled with doubts, Julian opened the video James had sent.

The video showed Rayquaza battling an unknown Pokémon.

"Brother, what Pokémon is this? How can it fight Rayquaza?"

Jade leaned her little head over as well, staring curiously at the orange-red Pokémon in the video, which kept switching between different forms.

"Deoxys, a Pokémon from outer space," Julian said.

This was also humanity's first recorded sighting of Deoxys, so for now, no one officially knew its name.

The video was only about a minute long and ended quickly.

The second meteorite had been split in two by Rayquaza's Hyper Beam. One half was falling toward Celestria, and the other toward Drakoria—directly above him.

Julian suddenly wondered if his luck had turned dark lately.

He had been peacefully resting at home, and now a meteor was about to fall from the sky onto his head.

Who had he offended? This was just ridiculous.

And there was a high chance that another Deoxys was inside that meteorite.

Otherwise, that Deoxys wouldn't have risked everything to protect the second meteorite. Most likely, one of its companions was inside.

Now that the meteorite had been split in two, the Deoxys was either in the half heading toward his location or the half heading toward Celestria.

The odds were fifty-fifty—it was like a lottery draw.

If they "drew" Deoxys from that meteorite, then considering it had been able to trade several rounds with Rayquaza, once it started causing destruction, who could possibly stop it?

That was why Celestria was praying nonstop that another unknown Pokémon wouldn't be inside their half of the meteorite.

After all, intercepting the meteorite itself wasn't difficult for them. What they feared was blasting it apart—only for another one of the unknown Pokémon to burst out from inside.

If that happened and it went on a rampage through one of their cities, even sending in their Champion would just result in getting completely overwhelmed. And once a real battle broke out, the collateral damage to the city would be catastrophic.

Just look at Babath as an example—half its territory had been destroyed. Of course, that had a lot to do with Babath's relatively small land area.

So under no circumstances could another one be in their meteorite.

On the other hand, Drakoria wasn't nearly as anxious. With Julian's Twin Dragons around, dealing with one shouldn't be too difficult.

"Brother, if that meteorite falls, will we die? Should we run away right now?"

Seeing the worry written all over Jade's little face, Julian smiled.

"Relax. We won't die. And we don't need to run. Brother will knock that rock down."

He gently lifted Jade off his lap and placed her on the sofa.

"You stay here and play with Celebi and Jirachi. Brother's going out for a bit."

But Jade grabbed onto his sleeve.

"What's wrong?" Julian asked.

"I want to go with you."

Jade looked up at him with shining, hopeful eyes.

"It might be dangerous," Julian couldn't help but tease her a little.

"I'm not scared. Big brother will protect Jade!"

She looked at him with absolute certainty.

Julian chuckled softly and nodded. "Alright, I'll take you. But if you get scared, just close your eyes, Okay?"

"Mm!"

Jade nodded hard, her little face brimming with excitement.

Henry was at the company, and Alice had gone back to her parents' home on an errand. So at the moment, only Julian, Jade, the butler, and a few household staff were at home.

Naturally, none of them dared question Julian, and they also had no idea where Julian was planning to take Jade.
