Chapter 952: Three Great Miners

Chapter 952: Three Great Miners

Previously, Julian's impression of Arcanine was that it was majestic and good-looking, but its intelligence was somewhat lacking.

Arcanine: 'Good-looking, right? I traded my brains for it.'

Now, it seemed its intelligence was starting to take the high ground.

The Gold Berry, an Ultimate treasure and the sub-Ultimate treasure, Copper Berry, were both secured by Julian. Moreover, a significant amount of the Copper Ore still remained unmined—what had been revealed was just the tip of the iceberg.

Aggron, Tyranitar, and Duraludon all enjoyed eating Copper Ore. Even Steelix could take a few bites. Thus, Julian planned to mine the entire mineral vein.

"All hands on deck! Dig out all the ore within the next two days," Julian ordered.

He deployed all his Pokémon except for Zekrom and Reshiram. It wasn't that he was unwilling to let the twin dragons mine, but if they appeared, the surrounding Durant, mostly around levels 20-30, would likely be scared to death—or at the very least, terrified into fainting or paralysis.

With his Pokémon's strength on full display, and two mining veterans—Aggron and Steelix—leading the way, and Duraludon also showing remarkable talent for mining, hinted at the rise of a third mining ace in the future.

The era of the "Three Great Miners" seemed just around the corner.

The Copper-Gold Ore vein was relentlessly torn apart by Aggron and the others. With each punch or claw strike, tens of tons of ore were dislodged, while the Durant assisted on the side.

After roughly two days of work, Julian had completely mined out the Copper-Gold Ore vein, extracting approximately 20 million tons—enough to feed Aggron and the others for quite some time.

Once the vein was exhausted, the sandy ground revealed a massive depression spanning over ten kilometers. However, after Metagross released its Psychic hold, the surrounding sand, now unrestrained, flowed into the depression like seawater, filling it up completely within minutes.

Julian stored all the Copper-Gold Ore in his System Space. With infinite capacity, holding 20 million tons of ore was a trivial matter—something a regular spatial backpack could never achieve.

With the mining complete, Julian turned his attention to the Durant queen and the thousands of Durants.

He had already captured the Durant queen, but what about the thousands of Durants? If he didn't capture them, it would take the Queen a long time to rebuild a colony of this size. Moreover, Julian had captured the Queen precisely to have a dedicated mining force for his own needs.

So he still had to catch them.

"Tell them not to resist," Julian said.

The Durant queen nodded; it knew what Julian was going to do.

It had actually hoped Julian would take all its children with him. If it left them behind without its protection, their weak strength would mean few would survive.

The Durant queen had absolute control over its colony. Under its command, all the Durants stood obediently still, allowing Julian to capture them.

Fortunately, Julian had stored tens of thousands of empty Poké Balls in his System Space. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have had enough for so many Durants.

After capturing the thousands of Durants, Julian suddenly slapped his forehead.

"Damnit, I forgot that Poké Balls can’t be stored in the System Space."

The System Space could only hold inanimate objects, and Poké Balls containing living creatures couldn’t be stored. If the number was smaller, he could have carried them on his person. But now...

Looking at the mountain of Poké Balls piled up before him, even stuffing his backpack full wouldn’t be enough.

"Let’s find the exit portal first. Once we do, I can send these Poké Balls out," Julian muttered to himself.

He then purchased ten Lucky Charms from the System Shop and used them all at once.

At this moment, it felt like the goddess of luck had bestowed her favor upon him.

Glancing around, Julian closed his eyes, spun in place a few times, and then opened them, pointing in a direction. "Head that way," he said to Metagross.

"Today, I’ll show you the luck of a true Luck King. The exit portal is in that direction."

Metagross snorted disdainfully.

Randomly choosing a direction like this? If he could find the exit portal, Metagross would take Julian’s surname.

Julian recalled Arcanine and the others, while instructing Metagross to use its Psychic to levitate the Poké Balls containing the Durants.

With everything ready, Julian rode Metagross and headed in the direction he had pointed.

They were going east, and since they were searching for the exit portal, Metagross didn’t fly too fast.

However, the Lucky Charms’ effects lasted only an hour. If they didn’t find the exit portal within that time, Julian would have to purchase more.

Each Lucky Charm cost 50,000 points, and up to ten could be stacked at once. Julian had just spent 500,000 points. If he still couldn’t find the exit portal within an hour, he would truly be the unluckiest of the unlucky.

Leaving the desert area behind, they entered a forest again—though not the one where Julian had initially landed. This forest was even larger than the previous one.

There were only ten minutes left on the Lucky Charm’s timer, and Julian’s expression began to stiffen; could they really not find it?

Meanwhile, Jirachi and Celebi, the two little ones, were heartlessly eating fried chicken, and after finishing, they casually tossed the bones downward.

Julian didn’t say anything about it—after all, they were just learning from him.

[Environmental protection is everyone’s responsibility.]

However, one of the bones happened to hit a Corviknight resting on a tree branch, instantly angering it. As the overlord in this area, no Pokémon dared to even speak loudly in its presence, yet today someone had the audacity to throw bones over its head.

Looking up, its sharp gaze immediately spotted Metagross in the air, with bones continuing to fall from above it.

This only fueled its rage further.

With a flap of its wings, the tree branch trembled, and the next second, Corviknight appeared right in front of Metagross.

"Was it you who threw the bones?"

Corviknight glared at Celebi and Jirachi. The two were still gnawing on chicken legs—who else could it be?

The two little ones nodded.

Jirachi asked curiously, "What’s wrong?"

Corviknight pointed to its head. "The bone hit me."

"Ah, sorry, sorry."

Jirachi immediately apologized—truly a good kid.

Corviknight’s anger subsided slightly, but the next moment, it heard Celebi’s voice.

"Jirachi, there’s no need to apologize. It didn’t kill it, and with its size, getting hit shouldn’t even hurt."

Hearing this, Corviknight’s face darkened, and its anger surged once more. 'What kind of nonsense is this?'

"Metagross, ignore it. Hurry up and keep moving," Julian urged.

With only a few minutes left, he didn’t want to waste time on an Elite-level Pokémon.

Corviknight was seething inside; they actually dared to look down on it? Today it would not let them go—'but why can't I move?'

It realized it could no longer control its body, and the next moment, it plummeted downward.

Thud!

It crashed right into the large tree it had been resting on earlier.

Countless branches, twigs, and leaves scattered everywhere, and the once-dense tree was left sparse and bare, and at the same time a white glimmer of light emanated from within—just enough to catch the corner of Julian’s eye.
