Chapter 953: Five Months
Chapter 953: Five Months
"Hahaha, Metagross, what did I tell you? Are you convinced now?"
Julian couldn't help but gloat as he looked at the shimmering white portal before him, and just then, the Lucky Charm's effect also wore off.
Metagross was a bit dumbfounded. 'How did this actually happen? This unlucky guy really found it? This doesn't make sense.'
Right now, Metagross felt like the real clown in this situation.
And Julian's next words only solidified that feeling.
"I told you you're the unlucky one, and you didn't believe me! Back when my luck was terrible, it was because you were rubbing off on me. Today, my luck was extra strong, so it overpowered your misfortune."
Metagross gave Julian a suspicious look, as if asking, 'Is that really how it works?'
"Of course!"
Julian replied with absolute certainty.
"Let's go out first," Julian said, stepping into the exit portal.
Outside the portal, Pierce's subordinates were guarding the entrance, with Pierce himself nearby. No one was allowed to enter until Julian returned.
The soldiers guarding the portal were surprised to see it tremble slightly, and the next second they saw Julian walk out from inside.
"Marshal Walker!"
The soldiers quickly saluted him.
"Take these to my dad. Tell him they are great helpers for mining," Julian said, handing over the thousands of Poké Balls containing the Durant to the soldiers.
Then under their bewildered gazes, he turned around and went back into the secret realm.
Just then, Pierce, having received the news, rushed over in a hurry—but he didn't see him anywhere.
"Where's Julian?"
"Marshal Walker went back into the secret realm," a soldier said.
The fact that Julian had come out so quickly meant he had already found the exit portal. The biggest worry was now resolved, this was undoubtedly good news.
Looking at the mountain of Poké Balls piled beside the soldiers, Pierce asked curiously, "Did Julian bring these out?"
"Yes," the soldier nodded.
Now Pierce understood why Julian had come out—carrying so many Poké Balls would certainly have been inconvenient.
"Did he capture an entire colony?" Pierce muttered to himself.
Knowing Julian, he wouldn't usually catch ordinary Pokémon. And with this many Poké Balls, it was most likely an entire colony—possibly one of an undiscovered Pokémon species at that.
"Marshal Walker said to hand these over to Champion Jake and inform him that they are excellent for mining," the soldier relayed Julian's message.
"Alright, I'll let Champion Jake know once he's back from fishing," Pierce nodded, though his expression turned somewhat helpless when mentioning Jake's fishing trips.
Originally, Drakoria had assigned Jake to manage affairs in Babath. Yet now, all those tasks were being handled by Pierce himself. As a military man, dealing with such administrative matters was making his hair practically fall out.
Meanwhile, Jake went out fishing every single day.
And what's more, he actually returned with catches every time—never coming back empty-handed. This only added to Pierce's frustration.
If only Jake had some days without a catch, maybe he'd lose interest in fishing and finally return to handle official duties. After all, Pierce was currently managing all the major and minor affairs of Babath himself.
Back inside the secret realm, Julian returned to the forest where he had first arrived.
"Back to the respawn point," Julian chuckled.
But this time was different from before—this time, he had already found the exit portal.
Now, Julian could peacefully embark on his treasure-hunting journey, no longer worried about time constraints.
"Metagross, let's go!"
Holding the Dowsing Machine, Julian declared enthusiastically.

Five months later, Julian had fully explored the entire secret realm, acquiring three more Ultimate treasures along the way.
Two of them were Steel-type Ultimate treasures.
[Earth Armor: When hit by a close-range attack, there is a 50% chance to reflect 30% of the damage back to the opponent (limited to Steel and Rock types).]
This Ultimate treasure was given to Aggron.
This treasure was kind of a "Thornmail," so of course, it was most suitable for the "Strongest Shield," Aggron.
After using it, Aggron's level also rose to 88.
The second Ultimate treasure was:
[Bloodstone: Increases a Pokémon's HP and speeds up the healing rate of wounds after injury (limited to Steel and Rock types).]
Increasing HP—wasn't that just like an HP Potion? Julian had used many of those on his Pokémon. But the second effect, accelerating wound recovery, was what truly delighted him.
So this Ultimate treasure went to Metagross.
The third treasure was a Flying-type Ultimate treasure:
[Sky Feather: Increases flying speed by 30% and has a chance to restore 15% of stamina while flying (limited to Flying-type Pokémon).]
Julian gave this Ultimate treasure to Dragonite, making it overjoyed for a long time.
Seeing Dragonite's happiness, Julian felt a pang of heartache for it.
Dragonite was Julian's second Pokémon, hatched from an egg received as a system reward.
Yet despite being one of his oldest companions, apart from soaking in the Dragon Pool once during their visit to the Special Advanced-level secret realm, the Dragon's Den, Dragonite had never received any other Ultimate treasures.
Looking at Julian's other main Pokémon, even the least among them had used two or three Ultimate treasures.
But Dragonite as one of the veterans, had only received one.
It wasn’t that Julian was biased—it was simply because Dragon-type Ultimate treasures were far too rare.
Perhaps due to the inherent power of Dragon types, treasures and other valuable items related to the Dragon type were scarcer compared to those of other Typings.
Even the Sky Feather wasn’t a Dragon-type Ultimate treasure—it was a Flying-type one.
To this day, Julian had only ever obtained one Dragon-type Ultimate treasure: the Dragon Scale Fruit. That treasure was given to Garchomp at the time because it enhanced the defense of scales, an area where Garchomp had a greater advantage than Dragonite.
"I will certainly find you a Dragon-type Ultimate treasure in the future—no, make that three!"
Julian patted Dragonite’s large belly while painting a grand vision for it.
On a side note, Ultimate treasures had no effect on First-class Legendaries—only World-class treasures could enhance them.
Dragonite nodded, feeling that its trainer was the absolute best to it.
Its moved expression made Julian feel the pressure—he realized his promise might have been a bit too grand. If he couldn’t fulfill it, wouldn’t that break Dragonite’s heart?
In addition to the three Ultimate treasures, Julian also found fifteen sub-Ultimate treasures. Those that matched his second-team members’ typing were given to them, while the rest were stored away.
As for treasures below the sub-Ultimate tier, there were about a hundred in total—but they were useless to Julian himself.
The reason he collected them was entirely for the sake of his friends and the families affiliated with the Walkers.
These families had pledged allegiance to the Walker family, handing over half their resources. In return, besides offering them protection, the Walker family also had to provide them with some good things.
And the treasures that Julian didn’t want were rare and precious goods to them.
