Chapter 974: Tapu Koko
Chapter 974: Tapu Koko
Early in the morning, Julian was having breakfast at his grandmother's house. He planned to return to Lake City after eating, but just as he started, the phone in his pocket rang.
It was an unknown number, but his phone number had long been protected, so there was no chance of information leakage. Anyone who called must know this number.
"Hello?"
Julian swallowed the egg in his mouth and answered the phone.
"Champion Walker, something happened in the Alolan Secret Realm!"
A hurried voice came from the other end of the line.
"What happened?"
Julian’s expression turned slightly serious. The Alolan Secret Realm was a Top-tier secret realm—if something went wrong there, it certainly wouldn’t be a small matter.
"Don’t grab my phone, give it back to me!"
Then, the voice of someone sounding flustered and angry came through the phone.
The next second, a voice belonging to a Island Guardian came from the phone.
"Julian, come back quickly! Solgaleo is showing signs of waking up!"
It was Tapu Koko speaking. It had actually run out of the Alolan Secret Realm.
"Alright, I’ll be there right away. Wait for me."
Hearing that, Julian immediately grew anxious. The Alolan Secret Realm was located in the suburbs of Lake City. If Solgaleo, a First-class Legendary, truly woke up…
And if not handled properly and a fight broke out, then Lake City would likely be lost.
"Grandma, I—"
"Grandma understands, but remember your safety must always come first," Evelyn said.
Her tone couldn’t help but carry some worry. From Julian’s expression, she could guess the situation was urgent. Her grandson had two First-class Legendaries, yet he still showed signs of anxiety—it was clear that whatever he was dealing with was quite dangerous.
It also confirmed the saying: with great power comes great responsibility.
Although her grandson had become the strongest trainer, and even Champions couldn’t withstand a single move from him, when a crisis arose that even a Champion couldn’t resolve, it fell to him.
When the sky was about to fall, he would be the first to hold it up.
"Don’t worry, Grandma. It shouldn’t be a big problem."
Julian nodded, quickly took a few more bites of his food, and then had Metagross use Teleport to take him to the entrance of the Alolan Secret Realm.
Tapu Koko had just hung up the phone when Julian and Metagross appeared.
"Marshal Walker!"
Several soldiers guarding the entrance to the secret realm immediately saluted.
Julian nodded and looked at Tapu Koko. "Is it really about to wake up?"
Tapu Koko nodded. "The energy is starting to surge—that's a sign it's waking up. And where did you put the Secret Realm Token I gave you last time? Why can't I sense it? If I could, I would've used the token to contact you instead of coming out here."
Tapu Koko stared curiously at Julian. The Secret Realm Token had been jointly created by the four Island Guardians. Unless the token was destroyed or stored in a special place that blocked its perception, Tapu Koko should always be able to sense its location. Yet now, it couldn’t feel the token at all.
"It's right here."
Julian reached into his pocket and pulled out the Secret Realm Token.
Tapu Koko’s eyes nearly popped out of its head—this was absolutely impossible! How could it not sense the token when it was simply in his pocket? And yet, it could feel it now.
Staring at Julian’s pocket, Tapu Koko said, "Put the token back in."
Could it be that this pocket was some kind of seal?
As Julian placed the token back in his pocket, Tapu Koko could still sense its presence.
"Impossible! What’s going on? Why is this happening?"
Tapu Koko looked bewildered. Why could it sense the token now even after it was put back?
Julian secretly chuckled to himself. The token had actually been stored in his system space all along, so of course Tapu Koko couldn’t sense it. Earlier, he had only pretended to take it from his pocket—in reality, he had retrieved it from his system space.
Now Julian understood that this token could not only move the Secret Realm but also function as a tracking and communication device.
"Tapu Koko, are you feeling sick? Do you want me to make an appointment for you? I know a specialist—very famous—who specializes in treating rare and difficult Pokémon illnesses."
Seeing Julian’s serious expression and recalling that it truly hadn’t sensed the token earlier but could now, Tapu Koko began to wonder—was it really sick, and seriously so?
"Forget it. Let’s go check the situation first."
Though tempted, Tapu Koko declined due to the urgency of the situation. It thought it could ask Julian to take it to the hospital after everything was resolved.
"First, use the token to move everyone out of the Secret Realm," Tapu Koko said.
With the Secret Realm Token in his possession, Julian could freely control the opening and closing of the portal, move its location, and even forcibly remove humans from inside the Secret Realm at any time.
The Alolan Secret Realm was being jointly developed by the Walker family and Drakoria. However, since the Walker family had a small number of members and many affiliated families under their wing, they had allocated most of the entry slots to these subordinate families.
Holding the token, Julian focused his mind slightly, and instantly, all eighty-five people inside the Secret Realm were moved out in the blink of an eye.
"What happened?"
"Ahhh, I was just about to defeat that pseudo-Elite Pokémon!"
"This seems to be outside..."
"How did we get out?"
The trainers who had suddenly been expelled from the Secret Realm were both shocked and bewildered. Some even looked angry—after all, they had gone through great effort, only to be removed just as they were about to capture a Pokémon or obtain a treasure.
"Champion Walker is here too!"
"Did something happen in the Secret Realm?"
A few quick-thinking individuals realized that forcibly removing everyone from the Secret Realm at once was an unprecedented feat. But if it was Champion Walker doing it, then it wasn’t so surprising. After all, it was Champion Walker who had relocated this Secret Realm from the Western Ocean to here in the first place.
"Champion Walker, has something happened?"
A member of a family closely associated with the Walkers stepped forward to ask.
Julian recognized the person and nodded. "Yes, there’s a situation, so I had to move you all out first. Once everything is resolved, you can go back in."
No one pressed further about what exactly had happened. Some things were simply beyond their level of access, and curiosity could lead to unintended consequences.
However, Julian’s next words already revealed the reason:
"Inform my grandfather that a First-class Legendary inside the Secret Realm may be awakening. For safety reasons, initiate an emergency evacuation of Lake City and the surrounding urban areas immediately."
Upon hearing this, everyone’s pupils contracted sharply.
Could another war between First-class Legendaries be about to break out?
The devastation of Babath’s territory was still fresh in everyone’s minds.
If a battle of that caliber were to erupt on Drakoria’s soil, the casualties would be unimaginable.
