Chapter 1016: Deep Thinking
Chapter 1016: Deep Thinking
The question asked is indeed out of this world or the Universe.
There was no easy answer, and Kent, who had heard this, was left with a blank expression, staring at the white-bearded man, who wore a smile on his face, clearly enjoying Kent’s state of mind.
The question is illogical.
The heavens make up the universe.
These are the Rules (Daos).
They are destiny.
They are fate.
They are life and death.
They are everything.
As such, they can never rebel.
That is just impossible. The heavens are everything, and so why would they rebel? Who are they rebelling against? That logic is not sound, and so Kent dismissed it. However, he held it at the back of his mind.
After all, there is a second reason, which suggests that perhaps they are afraid of something or someone. This logic is, in a way, sound.
The heavens are the Universe...
So, in a way, they are an entity. Meaning the whole universe can be considered one powerful being. So, if that is the case, then it can also mean this powerful entity might just have someone they fear, just like how even gods have fear.
This logic is sound, but it also leads to the last scenario, which involves someone taking over the universe.
If that is the case, then it means the universe can be controlled, the rules can be rewritten, and everyone’s fate and destiny will now be in the hands of the one who controls it.
If that is the case, then perhaps everything can change.
Kent suddenly felt like he had been enlightened...
He looked at the white-bearded man and smirked, "Your logic is sound but flawed. You seek to learn about what happens if the Universe is being controlled by someone, when you should instead ask about who or what can confidently face the universe without a strand of fear.
That person is not me, and it is not you.
We don’t qualify to do that.
However, since you want to know what happens if the universe is no longer in control, then I will indulge you.
First, since the Universe is governed by laws, I can see those laws being rewritten. Things like who gets to live and die now depend on who is in control.
I can see an entire cultivation base wiped out just because they contradict the new laws.
I can see an entire bloodline suppressed because they go against the natural flow of the laws.
There are so many things that could happen, but the most serious of them all is who is in charge.
Can they be stopped?
Do they have the means to completely destroy the entire Universe, or is something holding them back, preventing them from getting what they want?"
Kent smirked, seeing the expression on the white-bearded man’s face change.
He picked a white bead and placed it on the board.
"Talking logic demands deep thinking, not philosophy. You tried to play mind games with me, thinking I was limited to my age. However, you failed to realize one thing."
"And what is that?"
"I don’t need to think to know the answer to your question." Kent smiled, the image of a certain white-haired handsome man appearing in his mind.
"You see, I met someone before who I believe is an existence that is fighting against the heavens." This time, the white-bearded man’s expression was that of a pleading child begging to be enlightened.𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Kent laughed, feeling a huge disgust for the man. However, with many lives on the line, he suppressed his anger and spoke.
"I believe he was from a place where the heavens are no longer in control. They had been rewritten and, as such, his nature was constantly fighting against them...
That is also why I believe the logic about whether the heavens can rebel is, in a way, illogical.
The heavens are emotionless; however, they are all-seeing, all-knowing, and self-sustaining.
If they feel threatened, they will look for a way to sustain themselves, even if it means summoning something or someone they even fear.
Now, consider the following scenario. If you were to have the power to take over the heavens, then what would happen to you if somebody else, outside of time and space... someone whom the heavens are afraid of were to appear?"
"I will be afraid and try to annihilate them."
"Good. However, what then happens if you can’t? What then will you do?"
This time, the white-bearded man didn’t know what to say. This caused Kent to smile.
"Cause and Effect, ever heard of it?"
"Yes." Now, the white-bearded man had become a student being lectured by the Chaos Dragon.
"Everything done has its cause and effect. If you try to take over the Universe, the cause is you; you will become invincible; however, the effect will be the self-correction.
This correction can be a force that prevents you from directly killing what is blocking your path to ascension.
If that is the case, it means you will use any means necessary to kill. But because the rules don’t affect this thing or that person, all your efforts will be in vain.
In the end, you can only watch and see how this person rises and one day surpasses you, thereby doing what he had to do, which was to eradicate you."
"Then what kind of existence can be so powerful that even the laws of the Universe can’t affect him?" the white-bearded man asked, but Kent merely smiled.
"I will leave that to your imagination."
"Satiate my curiosity, Sage, and I will grant you more than a wish. You have to know that I am the god of this world; in a way, I write the rules here. So, if you want to have a happy time here, then tell me what I need to know."
Kent smiled, "I am no paragon, old man, but I am the Primordial Chaos Dragon. I don’t take threats lightly, so I will advise you to tread carefully. You may be a god, but who cares?"
"Hahahahahaha..." The white-bearded man laughed, feeling satisfied with Kent’s reply.
Suddenly, the man’s appearance changed, mirroring the face of the person who gave him the Soul Universe technique.
"Paragon..." Kent said, feeling a different feeling coming from the man.
"We meet again, Chaos Dragon." Paragon smiled, "I have to say, you have come a long way since we last met. However, you still have a long way to go."
"I know. However, I am getting there."
"Indeed." Paragon smiled, "Though I have to say, your knowledge is sound and bright. However, you are wrong about one thing. The heavens can indeed rebel, but they can do that by following someone else’s command."
"Meaning they can be controlled."
"In a way, yes. But for a universe to be controlled, it must willingly allow it."
"So you are saying that for a universe to rebel, it will depend on its master. This means every Universe has a master."
Paragon nodded with a smile, "You are smart, even for someone with only one mind. But yes, every universe has a master, and these masters decide how the laws work."
"Then, in your case, the heavens don’t have a good master."
"No. They do... They, in fact, have a good master. A very beautiful and intelligent one... However..."
Paragon smiled and ended his words there...
"We need to talk about you, Kent... I saw your death... five years from now, so why don’t we attempt changing your fate?"
