Chapter 1539: Sunfang Tyrant Spear

Chapter 1539: Sunfang Tyrant Spear

"Every great blacksmith aspires to leave a legacy, one that will remain in their name even when they are long gone. Many came and went, and those who left a legacy are still remembered even after several eras.

Here lies the legacy of Vael’Zhor, the Zodiac Forgebinder, the one who aspired to forge the Zodiac Annihilation Formation.

This great hall holds the legacy of the Ten Divine Zodiac Spears. Whoever lays their gaze here is destined to walk the path of the 12 Zodiacs, assembling the ten spears and seeking the Heart and Mind of the Zodiac.

This is the legacy of Leo – Sunfang Tyrant Spear. Place your hand on the monument and receive the mark of Leo, becoming the master of the Sunfang Tyrant Spear."

Kent closed his eyes for a few moments, his mind spinning as he reeled in his thoughts. Just reading the inscriptions on the golden monument made him feel as if he had laid eyes on something forbidden.

The profundity of it all made him feel as though there was so much hidden from him.

However, he understood some things, and that made him happy.

With him having the name of the blacksmith who had forged this spear, he knew he could find out more information about them later.

He, after all, planned to join the cult of wisdom, so he would get to learn more about him later.

’Vael’Zhor, The Zodiac Forgebinder... what a peculiar name.’

His name is indeed peculiar.

Kent came from Earth, so he is familiar with the Zodiacs. He had researched those symbols, and hearing that there had once been a legendary blacksmith who went by such a name made him wonder just what all of this meant.

’Gather all ten spears... Heart and Mind... Zodiac Annihilation Formation... Just what are all these, and how would they help me in the long run?’ Kent said inwardly, his eyes opening slightly to behold the monument once more.

He sent a transmission to the tower, so he knew he wasn’t the only one there. The tower was there with him, and she had read the content as well, and thankfully, she had some answers for him.

[The master must know he is in the presence of greatness. The Zodiac Forgebinder was a legendary blacksmith who lived during the Flame Era. In fact, he was a member of the 13 Elder Blacksmiths, a council that even the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith was a part of.

I didn’t recognize the spear before because I had no memories of its contents. However, now that I know who created it, the master should know that the creator was someone whose name alone once shook many galaxies.

The Zodiac Forgebinder was the wielder of the Twelve Zodiac Flames, one of the sacred flames. He created many weapons and artifacts in his day; however, his greatest creation was the Zodiac Annihilation Formation.]

"Sounds like a powerful thing. Care to shed more light on it?" Kent said, looking at the heading of the inscriptions on the monument.

Everything was written in an ancient language that he could translate because he had the Universal Enigma. Even so, all he saw were names and nothing to make sense of them.

Now he wanted to find out more about one of the names.

[The Zodiac Annihilation Formation was a legendary formation that showed its brilliance during the Flame War. The idea was simple: the Zodiac Forgebinder decided to imbue the core essence of the 12 Zodiac Divine Flames into 12 weapons and link them using the Ancient Star Map.

It took 3 million years and a lot of effort to forge all the weapons. He succeeded after many failures, and that was when the Zodiac Annihilation Formation was born. A Tier 100 formation with 10 layers, each spear acting as a layer.

Once deployed, it cannot be stopped until all 10 layers have been executed. It was only used once, but legend has it that when it was deployed, over a hundred Celestials fell to its might.

After the Flame War ended, nobody knew where all 10 spears had gone, nor did they have the faintest idea where the Heart and Mind of the formation had gone. The Zodiac Forgebinder was also never seen or heard from again.

Some say he is still alive, while others say he is dead. But I know one thing: while the master is not a spearman, merging with the spear is the most logical decision you would ever make.]

Kent had no reason to doubt the Tower’s words. He had already sensed the monstrous nature of the spear, and so he knew there was just no way he would let go of it.

If he binds with it, there is a chance he will one day need it, and knowing this spear is Leo, as far as the Zodiacs are concerned, having some fire on his side would not be too bad.

"I do have some questions first," Kent said, and then he asked, "What is a Sacred Flame?"

In the span of two days, there had been two mentions of the Sacred Flame by two different people. The first was Uncle Drake, and now the Tower did too. So he needed answers.

[The master is already aware of the Nirvana Flames, right?]

"Yes, Tower. What about them?"

[Well, I may have failed to paint a clear picture for you before, but Sacred Flames are the various flames that came directly from the Primal Chaos. As you already know, all creation came from the primal chaos.

These flames are the same, and they transcend all else. An example is the Flames of Nirvana. While they appear to be different since there are nine of them, in the eye of the Primal Chaos, they are considered as one.

This makes them a Sacred Flame. This also means the Flames of Nirvana are a Sacred Flame, and so are thousands of other Primordial Flames out there.

Just as the Nirvana Flame is powerful, so are many others. The 12 divine zodiac flames are among the most powerful sacred flames.

The only problem, however, is that obtaining a Sacred Flame is considered impossible. Only a few were able to wield one, and one of them was the Zodiac Forgebinder.]

Kent smirked. "Looks like I must unlearn and relearn again. The more I grow, the more complex things get."

Up until today, he thought the Nirvana Flame was the peak of flames. Now, it appeared that wasn’t the case. While the Nirvana Flames may be somewhere at the top of the list, he had no idea just where they would actually be placed.

It felt like the trump card he was hoping to wield against his greatest enemies had just become ordinary.

But it shouldn’t be. This spear is made from a Sacred Flame, and since he is also a wielder of a Sacred Flame, who knows what power lies dormant, ready to be unleashed?

So without hesitation, Kent pressed his palm against the surface of the monument, and a golden light enveloped him.

On the outside, golden flames surrounded the spear, and before long, the rust was washed away, revealing a majestic spear that exuded a terrifying aura, causing great pressure to descend on Kent.

Kent gritted his teeth, enduring the pressure for a few minutes before it suddenly vanished.

Before him, a series of texts appeared.
