Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1662: Arriving in the Underworld

Chapter 1662: Arriving in the Underworld

Kent obviously wasn’t expecting to hear Indie casually announce that they would be throwing a party in the Underworld. The very first thought that crossed his mind was:

"Isn’t the Underworld supposed to be a place of torture and pain?"

But he had already been to Hell and had seen firsthand that not everything people said about such places when he was on Earth turned out to be true. Still, hearing about a party in the Underworld was definitely a first for him.

However, for some reason, he wasn’t too surprised by it either. A part of him already seemed to know something of this sort would happen or had happened many times before.

So, as he watched the Grim Reapers cheering excitedly, he could only smile.

’Indie is too cheerful for an Empress. I’d better leave some Shadow Fiends to protect her before leaving.’

Kent paused, then his gaze turned to Yama, who was smiling back at him.

A cold sweat broke out across his back.

’Damn, this bastard gives me the creeps.’

He turned his gaze away from him and decided to scan the vast, dark sea stretching as far as the eye could see. Out of curiosity, Kent activated the [Soul Map] and scanned a 200,000-kilometer radius, but aside from the Grim Reapers, he saw nothing else.

After counting the number of Grim Reapers, he deactivated the Soul Map and sat beside Miryssa, who was seated on a barrel filled with Hell Wine and Underworld Mead.

The boats soon surrounded Yama’s massive bone ship, their green lanterns casting eerie lights across the dark waters of the River of Styx.

Countless Grim Reapers stared toward Indie with excitement and reverence burning in their hollow eyes.

Some trembled emotionally.

Others openly cried.

To them, Indie was more than just an Empress.

Before she was imprisoned in the Underworld by the Chaos Dragon, all of them had been fugitives locked in the Abyss, a place where the worst beings of the Underworld were kept.

Indie freed them when she became Empress and turned them into Grim Reapers, since many had died during the war to unite the thirteen levels of the Underworld.

So they were eternally grateful to her.

She was the ruler who united the thirteen levels of the Underworld during one of its bloodiest eras. Before her reign, the Underworld had been nothing more than a lawless land where the strong endlessly devoured the weak.

It was Indie who had changed that and became a true authority and symbol of hope for them.

Kent could already tell just how deeply she was loved here.

"My lady!"

One of the Grim Reapers suddenly shouted emotionally, his voice spreading across the vast River of Styx.

"When are we slaughtering those idiots from the Abyss Kingdom? I heard they’ve started growing a pair in recent years. The barrier still holds, but it won’t be for long."

The surrounding Grim Reapers instantly erupted into cheers.

"Yes! Slaughter,"

"Rip their souls apart,"

"Burn their bones,"

Kent’s smile froze slightly.

"Never mind," he muttered. "This feels more like the Underworld now."

Miryssa covered her mouth and laughed softly.

Meanwhile, Indie raised her hand calmly, instantly silencing the thousands of Grim Reapers.

"We are not starting a war yet," she said firmly.

A wave of disappointed sighs spread across the river.

"Yet?" Kent immediately caught the important word.

Indie ignored him and continued speaking.

"For now, I have returned for two reasons. First, to reclaim the throne that belongs to me. Second..."

Her deep blue eyes slowly narrowed.

"To remind certain people why they feared me in the first place. I heard some idiots calling themselves the Underworld King and Queen and saying they don’t want to bow to me. We will see soon who will be bowing and who won’t."

The moment those words fell, the atmosphere changed instantly.

The death energy in the surroundings became heavier. Kent felt his Evil Core activate as more energy was channeled into it, strengthening his understanding of Evil.

As the environment grew more chaotic, even the waters of the River of Styx began trembling violently.

Kent raised an eyebrow.

For the first time since arriving in the Underworld, he finally saw traces of the terrifying ruler Indie had once been during the Primordial Era.

The playful catgirl who loved cuddling him and sleeping on his chest vanished completely.

Standing before the Grim Reapers now was a genuine Empress, the one who, during the Primordial Era, made him grow uneasy even after he imprisoned her in the underworld. So he had to descend to have a nice chat with her.

Even Yama lowered his head slightly in respect.

"We welcome the return of the Empress of Death."

The Grim Reapers all slammed their scythes against their boats simultaneously.

BOOOOM!

The sound echoed across the endless sea like thunder, reaching all thirteen levels of the Underworld. Everyone felt it; the Empress is back, and she had returned with a bang.

Kent glanced toward Indie and smiled faintly.

’You really were amazing back then, huh?’ he smirked.

Then, shamelessly, he added, ’I guess I was right to imprison you in the Underworld back then. This can all be attributed to my incredible foresight.’

If Indie were to hear what he had just said, she might throw him overboard to be eaten by the resentful souls within the River of Styx.

"Lead the way, guys. We have a job to do."

"Right away, Underworld Empress."

Soon, they started moving, now surrounded by thousands of boats, each carrying a green lantern and a Grim Reaper standing at the bow.

Indie returned to Kent’s side.

"How did I do?"

"Terrifying, just like how an Underworld Empress is supposed to be," Kent replied, brushing his hand through her hair.

Indie smiled and hugged him, choosing to remain in Kent’s arms for the rest of the journey.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the Supreme Realm, Inaya and Baldy stepped out of a void portal and quickly made their way toward a mountain range.

After a few hours of travel, they arrived in a valley where thousands of Supremes and Gods could be seen populating the area.

Looking closely, they noticed that nearly fifty percent of the people present were clad in uniforms bearing the same badge.

The others wore a different badge.

Inaya also sensed the presence of Celestials, so she refrained from using her Supreme senses to investigate what was happening around the gateway to Amon’s Guillotine Cave.

Seeing the various badges, it was obvious that they belonged to different sects.

Inaya and Baldy landed two kilometers away and started walking toward the gathered crowd. After a few minutes, they approached a True God clad in a green cloak.

"Excuse me, can you tell me what is going on?"

If Inaya had been a God, he might have ignored her. However, seeing that she was a Supreme, the True God replied,

"Three months ago, a core disciple from the Heavenly Dragon Sword Sect returned from Amon’s Guillotine Cave and reported that he had discovered the presence of a Primordial Beast.

"He believes it has undergone a rebirth and may already be in a weakened state. He came to inform us, but somehow, the Purple Void Sword Sect got wind of it and is now demanding that half of their team be allowed entry."

"Allowed entry? Isn’t Amon’s Guillotine Cave free to enter?" Inaya frowned.

"That was before. Twenty thousand years ago, the Celestial Supreme placed a seal on it, allowing only one hundred entries every ten years."

"How troublesome," Inaya muttered and immediately reached out to Vexthra and the rest of her sisters.

’That is indeed troublesome. Those people won’t just stand aside and let you two enter.’

’Indeed,’ Inaya responded, looking toward the gateway.

’If I reveal my identity now, they may allow entry, but word would spread, and my return would become a bit more chaotic.’

Suddenly, Inaya sensed a pair of eyes land on her from the left.

Turning sharply, her eyes met those of a pink-haired incubus seated on a stone platform, casually sucking on a lollipop.

The man raised his hand and waved at her.

Before she could respond, Baldy vanished and appeared in the pink-haired man’s arms, hugging him.

’Huh?’
