Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1791: Temple Guardian

Chapter 1791: Temple Guardian

All eyes turned to Kent the moment they walked into the hall.

While he wasn’t the shortest, considering he was in his demi-human form, making him far taller than Fiannarel, he was the new face there, so everyone gathered fixed their gaze on him.

Kent also scanned the hall, noticing that the people there were divided into seven groups, each with a distinct appearance. This made him realize they were from the seven tribes.

Naturally, when they reached the center of the hall, the tribe leaders split up, each heading toward their tribesmen.

"Follow me," Jyoti Lata said, leading Kent toward the Red Bone Chaos Tribe. Fiannarel, who was supposed to go with the Obsidian Scale Chaos Tribe, followed Kent to the Red Bone Chaos Tribe, holding his hand.

Being clingy had always been her thing.

However, since she had missed Kent so much, she had become even more clingy. But who could blame her? She had given up hope of ever returning to the Infinity Universe or reuniting with her favorite baby brother.

So if fate had brought him back to her, letting him go again would be the last thing she would do.

Kent was led to the side of the Red Bone Chaos Tribe, where he immediately recognized some faces. Kwame and the rest of the elders he had met before he started his cultivation were present. Aside from them, there were others he didn’t know, but he knew they knew him.

After all, he had created many scenes over the past 50 years in their tribe.

"Glad to see you again, Kent Madson," Kwame said, his voice low but loud enough to reach everyone in the hall.

Kent smiled and replied,

"Good to be here, Lord Kwame."

Kwame nodded and turned to Fiannarel. "Pleased to meet the Obsidian Flame Archeress again. I apologize for not being there when you attained Eternity to congratulate you. That said, congratulations are in order."

Fiannarel nodded. "Thank you, Kwame."

Jyoti Lata sat in a throne-like chair and faced the other tribes, who were still looking at Kent. They all seemed curious to learn more about him, especially after witnessing the arrival of people different from them in the past.

Some turned out to be great people, while others perished due to their stupidity. Regardless, Kent was the fresh blood, and so they all wanted to know more about him.

The weakest person by the standards of the Chaos Chasm, excluding Kent, was a lad from the Storm Wing Chaos Tribe. However, even he was a True Supreme, something that would have made him a powerhouse in the Infinity Universe.

But while they would love to say Kent was the weakest, all of them could tell at a glance that the demigod dragon wasn’t simple at all.

If anything, the few Celestials among them could tell defeating him would be extremely tedious, perhaps even impossible.

So their interest in him seemed to grow by the second.

Jyoti Lata saw that, so she wasted no time.

"I know all of you are wondering who this person is," she said, her gaze sweeping across the room. "He is Kent Madson, a native of the Infinity Universe and Lady Fiannarel’s long-lost brother.

He appeared 50 years ago of his own accord, and since then, he has been training in the Red Bone Chaos Tribe, preparing to challenge the Chaos Ascension King Trial on behalf of the Red Bone Chaos Tribe.

Now, before I take all the credit, know that your various tribe leaders were present to assess and aid his growth, so whatever the results of this trial may be, Kent Madson will be someone welcome in all seven tribes... unless, of course, any of you have a problem with that."

Her calm gaze swept across the room, telling everyone to keep their complaints to themselves because she would not tolerate any arrogance.

Seeing nobody make a fuss, she continued...

"Good. Kent Madson would like to say a few words before we start the trial. Now, I would like to stress that, however things may turn out in the end, Kent Madson is a friend of ours, so he should be treated with respect."

The last thing she wanted was for their people to disrespect Kent, only to turn out to be the Chaos Ascension King.

"As Tribe Leader Jyoti Lata said, I will be challenging the Chaos Ascension King Trial. However, I have a request, and I do hope you all will accept it without complaint." Kent took a deep breath before making his request.

"I have already cultivated all seven techniques of the seven tribes, so my request is simple: when the trial opens, I will enter last. However, I want you all to enter one at a time, starting with the Void Vein Chaos Tribe." Many frowned, but Kent wasn’t done.

"Tribe Leader Jyoti Lata theorizes that the trials are based on the cultivation methods of the seven tribes. So I want to confirm it, and the only way to do so is to read the memories of those who will be challenging the trial."

"That is impossible, Kent Madson. The participants get their memories wiped before they are sent out, so you won’t be able to read their minds," a towering man with thick skin said, but Kent merely smiled.

"Leave that part to me. I have my ways of getting those memories back." His words were filled with confidence.

The tribe leaders with whom he had discussed this had always trusted and believed he could pull it off. So they quickly calmed everyone down.

Kent was still a mystery, so they wanted to see what he could do.

After everyone accepted Kent’s proposal, the seven tribe leaders retrieved an insignia and channeled their energies into it before letting it fly out of their hands. The insignias merged with a platform inside the hall, causing the entire temple to tremble.

Then, when the trembling calmed down, a voice spread throughout the temple, causing Kent to raise a brow.

"Welcome to the Chaos Ascension King Temple. I am the temple guardian, and yet again, I will see to it that this year’s Chaos Ascension King Trial proceeds smoothly."

The voice of the temple guardian was eerily similar to Tower’s, only this one sounded more mature. Kent wondered if it was merely his imagination, but he could tell that whoever this person was shared some connection with his dear Tower.

"I will open the trial now, and as always, the brave ones shall venture in and try their luck. The longer one stays inside, the more rewards one earns, so strive for more and, well, lose with dignity."

Kent smirked and watched as seven portals opened.

"Now, when you are ready."

Kent turned and looked at the representative of the Void Vein Chaos Tribe. He was a slender man with toned muscles and amber eyes.

He, of course, had silver skin like all members of the Void Vein Chaos Tribe. However, Kent could tell he was special. He just couldn’t put his finger on what made him special.

He nodded at the young man, and the young man nodded back.

Then, with calm steps, he walked into the portal.

Kent took a deep breath and was about to turn to Fiannarel when the person who had just walked in came flying back out as though he had been shot from a cannon.

"What the hell?" Kent exclaimed, but the rest of the people around him merely sighed, as though they had already expected this.
