Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1809: The Dark War (11)

Chapter 1809: The Dark War (11)

Kent underestimated the power of a Pseudo-Primordial, much less three of them.

He knew his current power was enough to kill Celestials.

He had already killed a few, but he was aware that not all Celestials were the same. He could not, in all honesty, face off against any of his Blood Warriors and win, just as he could not easily win against Vexthra, who wasn’t even a Supreme.

There are levels of strength, talent, and experience, and he was perfectly aware of that.

However, here lay the case that, at merely the Demigod stage, he had already gained the strength and power to face off against Celestials and shrug off the attacks of Supremes.

Gods were even bugs before him, though not all of them, especially not someone like Miryssa or some members of his Eternal Wrath Legion.

He had the power, the talent, the cultivation techniques, the martial techniques, the weapons, and most importantly, the bloodline and bloodline innate talents to back his strength.

He had it all, and compared to these three Dark Fiends, he was far superior. So, having some arrogance, simply from being an overachiever, was certainly within his bragging rights.

However, the idea of looking down on them and actually killing them was two different things, and Kent had finally realized it.

With his Omniscient Dao Eyes, he was able to see five seconds into the future, making sure he attacked where they displayed openings. However, when he did, he found himself going against a Pseudo-Primordial’s reaction speed.

They were fast and deadly, and Kent, who had only exchanged blows with them for two minutes, had already sustained a cut across his chest.

Though looking at it, he smiled, and then it healed.

Lady Kenzie, who had already been bored since she could not heal Kent, now found herself healing three of his bodies, making her very happy.

Hades, on the other hand, was taking a nap while torrents of Death Essence flowed into his core. He was not bothered by the battle outside, not when he had no plans to intervene unless called upon.

He liked to be wanted, and Kent, who had already realised that, planned not to need his help. But can he really keep him at bay?

After two minutes of close combat, he saw he had underestimated his opponents, so he reached into his cores, and three more energies surged, merging with the Divine Sword Energy.

On the outside, Kent’s body surged with Chaos Qi, Evil Qi, and Abyssal Qi.

At once, he went from a mere Demigod to a dangerous Demigod, and when he moved, flame runes surged into his legs, carrying him in a blur.

The second phase of the clash began just two minutes into the battle, and this time around, Kent was not taking his opponents lightly.

The Dark Empress stood back, staring at the carnage all around her with a look of anger and revenge. She was not done with her preparations before attacking the universe, so being ambushed before that, she clearly did not want it.

But she was under attack now, and watching Kent and his allies lay waste to her army of Dark Fiends, she hated it.

Suddenly, her expression narrowed. Then she turned to her left, her gaze landing on Lani, who was clad in an assassin’s wear, with five tendrils of fabric billowing behind her like capes.

In her grip was a scythe oozing with extremely dense Death Qi and killing intent.

"Impossible," the Dark Empress muttered, watching Lani cleave through her Dark Fiends as if they were grass, her innate laughter spreading across the vast battlefield.

"H-How is she here?" she muttered, unable to contain her shock. The more she looked, the more memories of her final preparations before their first invasion of this universe came back to her.

Before coming, they had received the names of people to look out for from the Primal Temple. On that list, Ruthless Bandit was the first, followed by Kael Duskbane, Captain of the Night Riders.

Many names were on that list, and one of them was the Silent Shadow, or as many knew her, the Joker. They said she was raised by a team of assassins into a deadly weapon that had claimed the lives of both the good and the bad.

However, along the way, she had a change of heart, so she killed the people who raised her, and since then, she has chosen to do good. Her chance to atone for her past transgressions arrived when the Dark Creatures came.

She killed a lot of them, so much so that even the Dark Empress was tempted to personally come after her, for she was that deadly. She never forgot that laughter, even long after the Joker had died.

Today, she heard it again, and the same sight she saw the last time was repeating itself, only this time, Lani was an Immortal Lord.

This meant she could be killed, and since the Dark Empress had already been caught off guard, killing some of the brat’s allies who her three guards were now locked in battle with would feel good.

Surely, that would make her very happy.

She tried to move, but found herself trapped in a domain. Kent knew he could not allow her to move, so he asked the new overpowered tower to keep her at bay.

Regardless, she didn’t panic.

Across the battlefield, hidden somewhere in a cave, were five hundred thousand Supreme-level Dark Fiends, each clad in dark armor made of metal and wielding deadly broadswords.

These were her secret army, the ones she planned to use to conquer the universe once she was done awakening their bloodlines. Unfortunately, she had to use them now while they were not at their strongest.

If she had had a few more hundred years, she would have perfected them, making them all powerhouses that couldn’t be shrugged off, unlike some of the Dark Fiends, who were a bit disappointing, if Kent and his allies had to be honest with themselves.

But despite wielding only half their power, they were still a force to be reckoned with.

A command entered their heads, and then five hundred of them moved, and before Kent or anyone else could tell how, Lani found herself surrounded.

It happened so fast. Before any of them could reach her, she was surrounded, and then they attacked, every last one of them.

Kent only caught their sudden appearance, but he knew there was no miracle that could save Lani unless, of course, she had Death on her side.

Just before the attacks could land on her body, a figure clad in dark robes wearing a drowsy expression appeared beside Lani, and with a wave of his hand, the five hundred Dark Fiends were blasted back.

"I am not happy being called into battle," Hades complained, looking at Lani, who wore a shocked and panicked expression.

It appeared Vexthra had made a great plan, but the Dark Empress didn’t mess around either. She also had her backup plan.

"Uhm, thank you for saving me, Senior," Lani, who hadn’t met Hades yet, said, thanking him. Seeing her sincere expression, he didn’t let his drowsiness linger.

His gaze drifted across the millions of names tattooed on Lani’s skin, and he sighed.

"You have a lot to atone for, young lady. Good thing you have an affinity for death, so I will help you clean more of those tattoos."

He turned into a mist and then augmented Lani and her weapon. At once, Lani’s body surged with so much power that the dark fiends panicked.

She stood her ground and clashed with them, this time augmented by death, which made her immune to it.

The Dark Empress’s eyes narrowed, but she didn’t linger on it for long since she had yet again spotted another familiar face...
