Chapter 1852: Amon’s Guillotine Cave (2)

"Be careful, Baldy," Inaya said, watching as Baldy flew into the distance, choosing to take the fight to the Alpha Wolf.

Mak smirked, seeing that Baldy wanted to compete with him by choosing to bite off more than he could chew.

It can aso be that he may be small, but he packs a much bigger punch. Baldy appeared to be the youngest among them, despite their being the same age.

But as if by design, he was also the weakest.

That said, it had been a very long time since he had seen him use his domain, so however this battle went, he would finally be able to place a ranking on Baldy’s power.

After flying for a few seconds, Baldy stopped and crossed his tiny arms over his chest. Behind him hovered two large swords.

In the distance, the Alpha Wolf took a step forward, causing the ground to shake and split open, spewing lava. It took a second step, and the lava rose, forming into a large wolf head. Its body exploded into flames, causing the very space around it to sizzle.

"Hey there, how about you just turn around and scram? I really don’t want to waste my time on you," Baldy said, not too bothered by the calamity walking toward him.

His words fell on deaf ears.

Seeing this, he sighed and unfurled his arms. Behind him, the two swords moved and dissolved into liquid metallic form. Then they transformed into two crescent-shaped blades.

"You know, it’s been several eras since I used my Sword Domain, so how about I test it on you?"

The two crescent-shaped blades spun, humming with intense sword intent.

Baldy spun his finger, causing the spinning blades to spin even faster.

"ROARRRR!"

The wolf roared again, a wave of terrifying aura surging out of its body. Then it lunged forward, sending flames exploding from its body and molten lava rising from the cracks in the ground.

The space sizzled, and terrible sword intent, born of the scorching heat of flame and lava, filled the surroundings.

Baldy smiled and took a swing with his right hand, causing the spinning crescent blades to surge forward.

"Longing Crescent Sword Domain."

Standing approximately 30 km away, Mak and Inaya furrowed their brows when Baldy’s Sword Domain surged forward. They had all expected to see something fancy, as in most domains.

Inaya cultivated the Ten Emotions Sword Dao, so her Ten Emotions Sword Domain allowed her to harness the power of all ten emotions. She rarely used it, but when she did, the space around her changed, taking on the manifestation of all ten emotions.

The same was true for Mak, whose Extreme Desire Sword Domain released pink mist that seemed to mess with the mind and heart.

Another example was Kent’s Genesis Sword Realm. Even as a Sword Realm, it affected space and, to some extent, bent the laws.

Baldy’s, however, was merely two crescent blades that formed a circular construct, gleaming with sword intent and profound understanding of the sword dao.

In most cases, many would scoff at his mediocre Sword Domain. But then it happened, and the two onlookers widened their eyes.

Just as the crescent blades closed in on the Alpha Wolf, Baldy grinned and snapped his fingers, causing them to expand. In the blink of an eye, an iron domain formed from two enormous crescent blades appeared around the Alpha Wolf, spinning rapidly around each other.

The Alpha Wolf was caught within this large domain of spinning swords, and if one looked at it, they would see a translucent dome form around the wolf, with the large swords acting as rings.

Inaya and Mak were in shock, but it was what Baldy said and did that made them nearly fall on their butts...

"You long to get out of my domain, but that is impossible. You see, the more you long to get out, the stronger it becomes. But if you choose not to leave, then well..."

He snapped his fingers, and crescent swords exploded outward, thousands of them, attacking the wolf, who couldn’t afford to ignore even a single one of them.

"...you have no choice but to long to get out."

Regardless of how one saw it, being attacked in such an enclosed space would make anyone want to get out of there. But by longing to get out, the domain grew stronger, intensifying the attacks, which in turn made the victim long even more desperately to escape.

"Damn, looks like Baldy has even surpassed me in terms of the offensive aspect of Sword Domains," Mak said with a smile, happy for his brother.

"It appears loneliness had helped him master his domain."

Inaya nodded to Mak’s words.

She had the privilege of learning more about Baldy and Mak, so she knew the little bald kid had lived alone since the Divine Era. Aside from the two times Mak came to visit him, he hadn’t spoken to anyone until recently, when Kent returned.

So he had been very lonely, and as someone with a child’s mindset, that might have been very painful. But then again, his domain required that, and looking at the Alpha Wolf, which was already at death’s door, it seemed everything had been worth it.

"No matter how I see it, Baldy’s domain has great potential," Inaya commented, also happy for Baldy.

The wolves trapped in Mak’s domain were down to the last two. Soon, the last wolf to survive the ordeal lost consciousness, never to wake up again.

Five minutes later, the Alpha Wolf also couldn’t endure the relentless attacks of Baldy’s domain, so it succumbed to death. Baldy deactivated his domain and returned to Mak and Inaya’s side.

"So, what do you think, Big Brother? Do you think Big Brother Kent will be happy with my domain?"

Mak smiled and brushed Baldy’s bald head. "Well, I think he is going to be more pleased with your domain than mine."

That was all Baldy needed to know. He retrieved three candies from his space ring that Gaia and her minions had given him before leaving for this mission and started eating.

Mak just smirked and turned to Inaya.

"Where do we go from here if we want to locate the person we came here for?"

Inaya looked due east and replied, "Let’s go see an old friend of mine."
