Chapter 1877 Ranking
Chapter 1877 Ranking
Kent always thinks long-term.
It is perhaps one of the traits he shared with all 13 incarnations. Long before the Flame War ended, he knew they would never win, so the best-case scenario was for them to seal the flame demons away and try again later.
That was a solid plan, and long before it had been implemented, many other incarnations of his had done the same.
Chaos sealed away the Chaos Beasts.
Lord Genesis sealed away the Foreign Race.
Even the Ruthless Bandit sealed away the Dark Creatures.
So, sealing away the flame demons was the most ideal move he had come up with back then and implemented.
However, there was something else he wanted to do, and that was to prevent the flame demons from ever invading the Infinity Universe.
But to do that, he had to venture into the Flame Realm personally and bring the fight to them.
However, to accomplish that, he was going to need a guide, and he picked the Second Flame Matriarch for that role.
She had come to kill the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith, but he had been prepared to capture and imprison her.
He succeeded, and now he wished to implement his plans.
"You see, while you had been rotting away here, I had been busy, working around the clock for the day I would find my way back to your realm.
Recently, I did, and it will be not only to destroy your kind, but also to ensure that, after all is said and done, your kind will become an army I will command to subjugate all other realms.
Rest assured, there is a chance I might die, which would then be your freedom. But there is also a chance I might not die, regardless of what your people throw at me. So consider this possibility and think about what you have to do.
Though you must know that regardless of your answer, I will invade your race and bring them to their knees. Whether you join or not, it will happen.
The question here is, are you willing to remain imprisoned for all eternity—because that is what will happen once I leave today—or join me and gain some form of freedom?"
One could tell the expression on the Second Flame Matriarch's face had changed.
Indeed, she had been rotting away here for billions of years. If she got the chance to see her race again, then she had to take it.
The only issue was the oath she was being asked to swear. If she went ahead and swore it, it would be akin to selling out her kind, which, from what she knew, was frowned upon.
Basically, she had a lot to think about, and Kent, who knew the kind of plans he had for her, could only smile and watch her think about what she wished to do with her life.

Meanwhile, back inside the tower, Kent's wives had all gathered inside the Harem Tower for the long-awaited reveal of who ranked at the top during the Dark War.
They had all bet that every kill would be translated into points that would be accumulated and used to rank them after the battle.
The point system was as follows.
Immortals would give points ranging from one to five, depending on the rank of the immortal.
Demigods would give points from six to ten. Gods would give 11-15, and Supremes would give 16-25. As for Celestials, their points started from 26 and ended at 50, depending on their ranking.
This point system was put in place so that those who were locked in battle against powerful Supremes and Celestials would not fall behind when it came to points gained from their kills.
So they gathered around for the reveal, and while some of them weren't around during the Dark War, they came to see who among them had the highest kill count in terms of points.
Inaya, who was away on a mission, stood calmly beside her best friend Ainna, who still hadn't joined the harem but was always with Kent's wives.
"Don't worry, Inaya. I did my best for you, so I am sure that while you won't rank in the top ten, you certainly won't be last in the rankings." She had, of course, done what any best friend would do and fought in Inaya's stead, earning points for her.
Inaya smiled and nodded. "No need to worry about me, Ainna. I have already secured my slot by bringing back Safira."
Safira, who was nearby, turned and looked at Inaya with a smile. "Thanks for bringing me back then. At least my life counts for something good."
She smirked, causing Inaya to chuckle.
Safira was learning to adapt to their way of life, so instead of treating her like an outsider, they chose to treat her like one of them.
She had been having so much fun with them, so much so that she sometimes forgot she was even a Forsaken Being.
On the other side, the heavy hitters who knew they ranked in the top ten stood together, each wearing a smug expression.
Tower, clad in her brown leader's suit, stood before a large stone tablet, her expression showing happiness.
Scanning the faces of the gathered ladies, she said, "Before we begin, I would like to point out that Big Sister Ainna donated her points to Big Sister Inaya.
Aside from her, Big Sisters Indie, Nyx, and Miryssa forfeited their points since they aren't around to claim their rewards."
"That is fine. The fewer, the better," Unity said, knowing that while she had some kills under her belt, she could never compete with the likes of Indie, who had literally brought Grim Reapers from the Underworld to fight for her.
Her sisters laughed, and even Tower joined them.
Once the laughter died down, she pointed her tiny finger at the stone tablet, and a subtle light washed over it.
Then names started appearing on it. Tower deliberately made the names appear in a disordered manner to keep the suspense high. After all the names had appeared, she snapped her fingers, and they started rearranging themselves.
They all held their breath, especially those who had fought with such large teams. They knew the chances of them ranking near the top were very high, so they stared at the stone tablet in anticipation.
In no time, the rankings were finalized, leaving everyone dumbfounded.
