Chapter 1932 Revenge Is a Bitch (17)
Elaine now had black hair instead of the white she usually had whenever she was using the life aspect of her bloodline. Her eyelids were dark-shaded, and in her hand rested a dark-covered book filled with all kinds of runes.
From within, golden-colored runes in different shapes and sizes kept flying out, merging with 16 hooded figures.
Whenever a rune entered any of the hooded figures, their power seemed to increase by several levels. Along with the increase in strength, they also seemed to receive some form of command from Elaine.
Aside from the golden runes, there were also black runes. Those ones were merging with the enemy. Visibly, there were no wild reactions from the enemy whenever the runes merged with them.
But to Elaine, each rune held so much power that merging just one with an enemy guaranteed their death. Safe to say, she had tagged over 2000 warriors, and more were being tagged.
Naturally, that was Elaine sending them a kill request. The book contained all kinds of mechanization runes that, if used properly, would create openings in the enemy's defenses or madly send them into the domain of death.
After about 5 minutes of working her magic, she smiled and pulled her focus back to the 16 hooded figures. These 16 were her Death Agents, who had stopped and turned toward her.
"Time to kill."
They nodded, and suddenly, their bodies grew taller, rising to 3 meters in no time.
"Death March."
They moved, and right then, a large door opened, and true darkness engulfed the battlefield. 3500 people soon found themselves locked in the realm of darkness, their senses restricted and fear seeping into their hearts.
"Where am I?" a Celestial asked, but before he could even turn and try to see if he could find something, he felt his head separate from his neck.
Looking down, even though it was dark, he saw his body sink into the darkness.
'What in the hell?' He died, but he was able to put together those thoughts, for what had happened was beyond his comprehension.
A few seconds later, his head fell back and also sank into the darkness.
Somewhere inside Elaine's Primordial Space, a name appeared on a blank tombstone, and Elaine smiled, 'Big sister Vex, we might just succeed in wiping them out,'
The first Celestial died, but he wasn't the only one who had found himself in the realm of death; the 3500 Elaine had tagged with her death runes were all at a loss, some already dead and others soon to die.
Under normal circumstances, Kent would have asked his wives to hold on until he was back before they attacked the Grim Arcane Legends. After all, going against Primordials was the last thing he wanted for his wives.
He had already prevented them from going against the Blood Ancestor.
However, that was then, and this was now. He let them do as they pleased because, after the tower was upgraded, they all experienced some form of growth rooted in their past lives.
In short, they awakened more of their past lives' abilities, so he knew that when the time came, they would be at the point where no battlefield could contain them.
The Dark War was brutal, but it had also contributed to their growth. So it could be said that between the Dark War and now, they had each become at least twice as strong.
The only saving grace was that the majority of them were still demigods. If they had already touched divinity, then perhaps the Grim Arcane Legends wouldn't have been much of a threat to them.
Elaine had unleashed her abilities, just as Enzi and Sylara had also done.
But Vexthra picked five to dominate and dampen the morale of the enemy. The 4th member was, of course, Dia, whose hair domain had already covered a 2km diameter.
But unlike the others fighting alone, Dia was fighting with three others.
Inside her hair domain, Yukiko, Estella, and Ruby faced off against 84 Pseudo-Primordials.
Liora had reported to them that, aside from the 25 Sages who were Pseudo-Primordials, there were also some guests who were in the realm of Pseudo-Primordial.
Vexthra knew these people would be a danger to her sisters, so she tasked Dia with handling them. But despite Kent telling them that Dia was the most dangerous of them, Vexthra knew she alone could not handle that many Pseudo-Primordials.
So she gave her Yukiko, one of the Divine Wonders. Yukiko was a Pseudo-Primordial and perhaps one of the most dangerous beings in the universe, possessing such a cultivation base.
She also tasked Ruby, who was also a Pseudo-Primordial.
She fought side by side with the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith during the Flame War. Afterwards, she spent a great deal of time inside Amon's Guillotine Cave, one of the most dangerous places in the universe, sharpening her sword.
The last member was the Second Flame Matriarch, Estella, who was also a Pseudo-Primordial. None of the ladies really knew how dangerous she was, but since she defeated Ruby in a duel, they tasked her with disposing of the Pseudo-Primordials.
It had been 15 minutes since the battle began, meaning they had 25 more minutes before they would consider retreating.
That was plenty of time for Dia and her cohort of deadly women to kill as many as they could.
Yukiko had assumed her beast form, causing all her abilities as a nine-tailed fox to be unleashed. Already, ten out of the 84 Pseudo-Primordials had fallen into an illusion created by her, and nine bore down on her in an attack.
Unfortunately for them, each tail on Yukiko was like a Pseudo-Primordial on its own.
With space and time under her command, she was basically unleashing true fear into the hearts of everyone watching.
Dia's hair domain perfectly contained them, and so, within the walls of her domain, not even the heavens could say otherwise.
Vexthra looked at this and sighed, "If she claims Neveross is stronger than her, and that she ranks 7th in terms of true power among the 13 Divine Wonders, then I wonder just how powerful the strongest of them will be."
Vexthra raised her head and looked at one of the cylindrical items that all 5 Monarchs had been trapped in... "I wonder what Lord Neveross is doing to his opponent."
