Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 852: The Duel

Chapter 852: The Duel

"Tch, I would take back those words if I were you."

The Pill Princess said, looking coldly at Kent.

As someone who prided herself on being stronger than everyone, she felt stung when Kent said those words. To her, this was Kent looking her in the face and spitting at her.

Kent, of course, was after that, for he knew undermining her was the fastest way to get what he wanted. Though he might earn more haters for taking this road, Kent didn’t care because he was after something important.

Every disciple became quiet, staring at Kent, who held a smile on his face.

"What if I don’t want to take back my words?" Kent replied, looking her in the eyes with a calm resolve. This only added to the bubbling anger simmering in the Pill Princess’s eyes.

"You may have received a slot to take part in the sect team selection thanks to Lady Enzi, but that doesn’t guarantee your win. If three of the seeded candidates were to refuse, then you would be taken off the team."

Of course, this was Kent’s first time hearing such a rule, but he wasn’t fazed.

"I guess if you all don’t see me as a worthy candidate, I will just challenge you all and beat the shit out of you, proving to the entire sect I am indeed better than you.

After all, the sect wants what is best for the sect. Knowing there is someone who can defeat the strongest of their team but isn’t part of their team, they wouldn’t hesitate to add me.

In this regard, you should just run back to wherever you came from, because today isn’t your day to get what you came for.

Of course, if you want to have another face-to-face with me, you can enter the Perfect Chamber and score 89% or higher. Then and only then would I recognize you as my equal."

With a smile on his face, Kent started walking away while the Pill Princess continued to bubble with anger.

’She should be reaching her breaking point by now.’

With the Enchanted Eyes, Kent knew all the best points to hit and how to go about it. He had delivered a rather good performance, and the outcome was about to show itself.

"If you are so confident in your abilities, then why don’t you accept a challenge from me and see if you will keep talking after?

Or do you think resisting a mere poison is enough to make you one of us?"

Kent paused in his step when he heard the Pill Princess’ words..

’This is the perfect moment for Lady Liora to appear,’ he said inwardly.

He turned and looked at the Pill Princess.

"Haven’t you any shame challenging a mere inner disciple? Or is that what you always do? You just come to the inner sect, challenge a bunch of inner disciples, and feel better about yourself, thinking you have made it?"

Kent flashed a mocking grin. "I never expected the almighty Pill Princess to be this shameless and low-class."

And with that nail hammered into the coffin, she snapped.

Kent felt a dense killing intent lock on him. The Pill Princess’s eyes ignited, unleashing a powerful internal energy.

The disciples around all ran back, feeling their bodies pressed down by the aura released from the Pill Princess.

Kent just raised his brow and was about to unleash his own aura when an ethereal beauty appeared out of thin air, causing the pressure in the air to vanish.

"Master... you are here." The Pill Princess spoke in a slight, panicked tone. Though she was still someone whom everyone hated due to her arrogance, when it came to her master, she seemed to still have some respect for her.

"You were supposed to be meditating, Sylvara. What are you doing here?" Lady Liora asked, pretending as if she hadn’t seen everything happen from the start.

Kent, who was watching her back, smiled inwardly, liking the acting side of the Pill Emperor.

"Master... I just... I—" The Pill Princess was out of words, looking dull at her master. Naturally, she had no good excuse for coming to the inner sect.

And while that was plain as day, she also had no idea her master would appear all of a sudden. This was a shock to her.

Lady Liora turned and looked at Kent, then she turned back to look at her disciple. "Two days from now, you two will fight in the Flame Master Arena.

If you win, Disciple Kent will become your servant for five years; if he wins, he will become a seeded candidate for the interplanetary Sect Competition.

Do any of you have any objections?"

Both Kent and the Pill Princess were left stunned, unsure of why the lady gave such stakes. Of course, Kent understood the motivation behind her words, but to think she wanted to take away the seed candidacy from her disciple was just wild.

"I don’t have any objections, master," the Pill Princess said, looking smugly at Kent.

Kent, on the other hand, just smiled. "I don’t plan on becoming some seeded candidate who will be displayed behind glass like a flower.

I like to do the work and get my efforts recognized, so instead of taking her spot as a seeded candidate when I win, how about she calls me Big Daddy Kent for three years instead?"

Even the disciples were left staring at Kent with shocked expressions. Rejecting a seeded slot just to request something this outrageous—it just doesn’t make any sense.

However, Kent had made his decision, and as someone who needed his services to discipline her disciple, Lady Liora accepted his ridiculous request.

"In that case, two days from today, Disciple Kent and the Pill Princess will have a duel at the Flame Master Arena. All disciples who would want to observe the battle should be seated before 9 a.m."

With that, Lady Liora left. Kent could swear he saw a smile on her face as she turned to leave. Once she was gone, Kent turned to the Pill Princess and smiled.

"Tell me, Pill Princess, do you know what karma is?"

The Pill Princess frowned, unsure where Kent was going with this. Kent just smiled and continued his words.

"Karma is when you either get a good outcome of your deeds or a bad one.

You have always been arrogant and disrespectful, thinking of yourself as better than everyone, when in fact, you are not even close to being better than anyone in this world.

Of course, because you are arrogant, you failed to see past your arrogance, and that was your mistake this time, young lady.

You see, if you had looked past your arrogance, you would have researched me, and that’s when you would have found out that three years ago, I was merely a Root Awakening stage cultivator, but in just three years, I have reached the Core Formation stage.

If you had researched me, you would have found out I scared shit out of the ancestor of the Elven race, your Grandma, causing her to run back into hiding with just my words.

But because you didn’t, two days from today, I am going to wreck you. I will discipline you to the point that the next time you see me, you will run and hide.

Be happy that I am not allowed to kill you...permanently. But even so, you are going to wish I kill you."

Kent smiled and then flew away, leaving the Pill Princess in stunned silence.
