Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 923: Tyranny & Sorrow

Chapter 923: Tyranny & Sorrow

"What is happening?" Tribe Chief Malthar asked, staring up at the sky above Blood City. It was now littered with cracks.

Behind him, thousands of Bloodveins stood, their faces pale with panic and fear.

This was their first time sensing danger after settling down in the Tower. In fact, the danger they sensed was even greater than when they were in the Dark Region.

This made them begin to panic.

Inside Gaiaville, too, the humans wore panicked expressions as they gazed at the cracks in the sky. In truth, the cracks were merely a horrifying sight.

The real danger was the air bearing down on them. It was filled with bloodlust and tyrannical heartbreak, something that made them both afraid and filled them with sorrow.

However, before any of them could despair, Vexthra appeared over the Tower City and amplified her voice, "Relax, everyone, there is no danger coming."

After saying that, she vanished and appeared inside the Sword Tower, where, aside from Kent, only Gaia was in sight.

Kent’s ladies could not come to the Sword Tower at the moment, as it was filled with Blood Qi, Sword Qi, and a few other auras that Kent himself did not even know he had.

If anyone aside from Vexthra were to appear there, they would be reduced to nothing by the terrifying auras in the air.

So the Tower prevented them from entering.

"What is happening to him?" Vexthra asked, looking at Kent seated in a lotus posture, a wave of red energy emitting from his eyes and red and dark symbols appearing on his face and all over his body.

Gaia held a panicked look in her eyes as she turned to Vexthra. "I don’t know what is happening to him, big sister. However, I knew he was retrieving his memories when, all of a sudden, this happened."

"Don’t you like to have access to his mind or something?" Vexthra asked. She, too, had a panicked expression in her eyes.

"No, big sister. I am not Dori, so I cannot access his mind."

Vexthra chewed her lips as frustration bubbled in her chest. "Isn’t there something I can do to help him?"

Gaia pondered for a moment and said, "I can send big sister into the master’s mind, but there will be a backlash even I cannot predict."

"I don’t care about backlashes. Even if it costs me my life, I will do it." Vexthra moved and landed two meters away from Kent.

Even with her divine aura coating her, she could sense the emotions bubbling in Kent’s eyes affecting her. However, she refused to focus on that just yet. The mission now was to stop Kent from destroying the Tower.

Gaia also moved and appeared beside Vexthra.

"Sit before him and press your forehead against his." Vexthra did as Gaia instructed.

"The moment I activate the fusion, you will enter the master’s mind. I do not know what will happen, but find him and bring him out."

Vexthra nodded and closed her eyes.

Gaia took a step back and formed a hand seal. Then she activated the Mind Fusion. Two golden symbols appeared on Vexthra’s and Kent’s foreheads. Then she felt her mind merge with Kent’s.

[Kent’s Mind - What Happened to Elina]

Vexthra appeared in a city in ruins. All around her, all she could see was death and fire. The destruction was just too much for even a goddess.

For a moment, she froze, unsure how to describe the horror surrounding her.

However, she recovered when her goddess side took over, making it almost as if the death of millions, including children, meant nothing to her.

Her focus then shifted to her main objective, which was to find Kent. She doesn’t know how long she can remain in this place, so she chooses to act fast.

Because she is a goddess, it was rather simple. Using her superior senses, she heard a sobbing sound a couple of miles away.

She moved in that direction, and in no time, she saw Kent on his knees, holding somebody in his arms.

Naturally, the figure before her wasn’t exactly Kent. It was Chaos, but with Kent’s consciousness.

"Kent," Vexthra called out. However, he neither turned nor acknowledged her. He only continued to sob as he clutched the person tightly in his arms.

Vexthra moved closer. It was after a few steps that she saw the person in Kent’s arms was a woman.

Her attention fell on Elina, lying lifeless in Kent’s embrace.

A smile lingered on her face, and a tiara rested upon her head. Although Vexthra was using her goddess nature, this sight broke her. Looking at the smile on Elina’s face, lying lifeless in Kent’s arms, punched a wound in her heart.

The tiara she wore has something about it.

One might even ask, why wear a tiara while clad in battle armour? It made no sense. Looking at her, drenched in her own blood and that of her enemies, the Tiara stood out.

But this tiara was something Chaos had bought for her during one of their many trips across the dozens of human worlds they had explored.

Back then, she had wanted dragon horns like Chaos. But since she was human, both she and Chaos knew she could only dream.

However, although Chaos had not realised how much it meant to her, he had bought her a golden tiara. And now, in her last moments, she had chosen to wear it, dying with a smile on her face.

Without realising it, Vexthra began to shed tears. She moved closer to Kent and hugged him from behind.

No words were spoken.

Just hugging him was all the words she needed to say. She was telling him she was there for him, and that alone was slowly melting Kent’s heart.

However, what the rest of the universe never knew was that this Elina, the one person who was the sole reason this universe still stood, had, in a way, found her way back into Kent’s life.

Had it not been for her death, Chaos would never have become who he was during the Primordial Era. It was only after she died that Chaos realised his true feelings for her.

He finally understood that all those annoying things Elina had made him do were part of her elaborate plan to make the stone-hearted Chaos fall in love with her.

And though she died, her efforts bore fruit. It was one of the many reasons Chaos never loved again, not even when the universe itself proposed to him.

To him, his stone heart had belonged to only one person during the Primordial Era. That person was Elina Hendrix Littlewolf—the weakest human Chaos had ever known, yet the one who became the source of his greatest strength.

A strength he once used to defy fate and rewrite the destiny of the universe.

A few hours later, Kent opened his eyes outside, while Vexthra fell back, unconscious, unsure when she would wake.

Kent briefly left seclusion to ensure she was safe before returning. He wasn’t in the right mindset to remain around anyone, not even his wives.

---

Meanwhile, on a faraway planet, controlled by a powerful family among the Supreme High Worlds, a young lady sat in chains with a slave collar around her neck, eating half-baked bread inside a cave.

She was one of the thousands enslaved inside what appeared to be a Spirit Crystal mine.

As she ate the bread, tears streamed slowly down her face.

She did not know why she was crying, but at that moment, all she could do was let the tears flow uncontrollably.
