Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 1035: Horse Riding

Chapter 1035: Horse Riding

“You like horses?” Rael asked.

Gaia shook her head. “I’m not sure. I just feel like riding one might be interesting. After all, there’s plenty of empty fields around, so it wouldn’t be very dangerous either.”

Rael let out a chuckle. “Well, if you’re interested, then I don’t mind. There are only two horses though. Which one do you want?”

She glanced between the two horses. Both of them were white, but one had some gray spots. It seemed a little sickly too, so Gaia went ahead and pointed at that horse in particular.

Rael nodded and then went up to the stable keeper and purchased both of those horses for a couple of hours. Afterwards, he got some saddles, placed them on the horses, and without hesitation, Rael jumped on the completely white horse.

Right off the bat, Rael realized that his platinum ass cheeks weren’t very fit for the horse. Even though he sat on a saddle, it didn’t feel great. Still, he glanced over to Gaia, who had also jumped on a horse. She seemed a lot more comfortable than he was.

Not to mention, she was also actively taking care of the horse’s health. Rael glanced at the horse, noticing that it had some kind of lung disease. But with Gaia around, that disease vanished soon after, making the horse as healthy as one could be.

Afterwards, the stable keeper led the two of them out into the fields and then let go.

“Good luck, lads. You’ve got a few hours. If you harm the horses, I’m going to hunt you down and flay you alive. Have fun.”

Right… Rael sighed. I’ve never actually ridden a horse, how am I supposed to…?

In the corner of his vision, Rael spotted Gaia. She was already riding the horse at a moderate speed. Her smile was wide too, which meant she was enjoying something so small a fair deal.

Rael let out a sigh and decided to try and copy her. However, he seemed to have the horse’s hatred, since the moment he placed his foot on its side and tried to make it move, the horse jumped up on two feet and tried to toss him off.

“Neighhh!”

Rael’s platinum ass cheeks were practically glued to the horse, so it didn’t work. Instead, Rael decided to try and adapt to whatever this horse was trying to do. While it was on two feet, Rael kicked it gently, making it move a few steps forward.

Seeing the horse jump forward on two feet, Rael couldn’t help but let out a chuckle. He had seen some equestrian contests in the past when he was a bit younger. He could copy how those people did it, but seeing a horse move on two legs was just too good to pass up.

Still, he felt like the horse might be in pain if it went on for too long, so instead, Rael went ahead and brushed the horse, calming it down. Eventually, he managed to succeed.

Yet when he glanced ahead, he realized that Gaia was already far off into the distance. Unlike him, she wasn’t struggling with the handling in the slightest. Clicking his tongue in defeat, Rael eventually began to get the momentum down.

And so, within just a few minutes, Rael was able to get the horse to move at a moderate pace. Obviously not fast enough to catch up to Gaia though. Still, Gaia did have her fun and eventually came back to Rael, laughing at him from the side.

“What are you doing?”

Rael rolled his eyes. “What does it look like I’m doing? I’m riding the horse.”

Gaia tilted her head slightly and put a finger over her chin. “Have you tried to actually control the horse rather than just ride it like an idiot?”

“…Are you just trying to piss me off?” Rael replied, facepalming. “I tried everything. I just think horses hate me.”

“Right… Get on my horse instead.”

Gaia got off her horse and switched places with him. As expected, Rael was indeed the problem, as the horse he was just on was like an obedient pup to Gaia. Maybe horses liked women more than they liked men?

Was that why most equestrians were women?

Huh.

The more you know…

“What are you thinking about?” Gaia reappeared beside him once more, snapping him out of his daze.

Rael just shrugged, not elaborating on what he was thinking, and instead went ahead and began riding the horse however he was able to. Obviously it was pretty shitty, but no one judged him, except for both the horses.

In the end though, Rael got the hang of it. By the time he did, the time was up and the stable keeper went ahead and took his horses back.

Honestly, Rael was reminded of normal spending habits. This luxury just now cost a whopping 10 Trell. In his old world, two cheeseburgers would’ve cost that much.

Still, this was fun. I bet she had a bit more fun than I did though. Either way, that’s that.

Rael took a deep breath as he glanced around the streets. It was dark now, and after all that teasing he had done earlier, the atmosphere was strangely fluffy. He wasn’t sure what to suggest, so instead, Rael went ahead and grabbed her hand, quietly leading her to some inn, buying a single room with two beds, and then going to said room.

Neither of them said anything, but it wasn’t like they needed to. They were both sure that neither of them would cross the line today, so they felt at peace.

“A tub for a shower, huh. Wanna go in first?” Rael suggested.

She raised a brow. “Just buy a normal shower. I’m not showering in that.”

“I thought you’re based around nature? Didn’t you shower out in the open or something?”

Hearing that, she frowned slightly.

“You seem to have a misconception of me. No. I’ve never done that. Now buy me a shower.”

“…Yes ma’am.”
