Chapter 692: The God of Mischief [ 1 ]

"You’re not allowed to be here," Autumn said, narrowing her eyes. "And how could you possibly have killed Chunma? Is this little imp lying?"

"Yes, she is."

"No, I’m not."

Gaia, could you perhaps get into her head and shut her up for a little while? Rael practically begged.

[I’m bound to your head, not hers... Sorry. Again,] she replied.

Rael could only shake his head in frustration and pinch Anna’s cheeks before pushing her slightly behind him.

Autumn let out a sigh.

"Now, now. Don’t think we’re here to kill you. In fact, we’re here to invite you back into the Divine Realm. You have our insignia, and you can only get one if you are acknowledged by one of the more powerful Ancient Primordials. I don’t know who it was that acknowledged you, but if you want to live, you should come with us."

So instead of trying to kill him, they were going the peaceful route of taking him downstairs, offering him dinner, and then getting someone even stronger to kill him.

It seemed like a pile of dogshit.

And Rael had no intention of stepping in that kind of shit.

"Well, Autumn, it looks like we won’t be able to get along after all."

With those words, he raised his hand, causing the silver aura from before to reappear.

Noticing that, Autumn let out a sigh.

"So be it."

Then, she gestured at the Ancient Primordials behind her, and they immediately entered defensive stances, while some dashed forward, closing the distance between themselves and Rael in the blink of an eye.

But at the end of the day, none of these people actually knew what he was capable of now.

So as three Ancient Primordials finally entered his range, Rael didn’t hesitate to slash his hand in an arc and use the Heavenly Slash to its full potential.

A silver arc flew out from the tips of his fingers.

In the blink of an eye, it passed through the incoming Ancient Primordials and went beyond.

However, by then, the others had reacted in time and dodged the attack, causing it to fly endlessly into the sky and eventually vanish.

But as for those that were hit, they froze just like Chunma.

And before long, they buckled to their knees and lifelessly fell to the ground.

<+0.21% Law of Infinity Mastery!><+0.18% Law of Infinity Mastery!><+0.30% Law of Infinity Mastery!>

They were no match for Rael.

And when the Ancient Primordials saw their fellow comrades die in an instant, they all stepped back cautiously.

Even Autumn was confused by what had just happened.

But Rael simply smiled and summoned another Heavenly Slash before pointing it at her.

Without waiting for even a single second, he slashed vertically, sending a silver arc hurtling through the sky and cracking space as it eventually reached her.

However, Autumn didn’t panic.

She raised her hand, and at the very moment his Laws were about to hit, he heard a loud crack.

It was as though glass and bone shattered at once.

But his attack was completely parried and sent at her fellow Ancient Primordials.

Most of them managed to dodge it.

Yet one person in particular, whose hair was overly long, was unable to dodge.

And so, Rael’s attack hit him dead center, killing him instantly.

<+0.52% Law of Infinity Mastery!>

He gave a lot of Law mastery.

And as Rael glanced over at his Law tab, he smiled slightly.

<Law of Infinity (MAX) - 2.7% Mastery>

I’ve gotten a little bit over 1.5% in less than a day. If I can keep this up, I’ll be able to get 10% and a massive bonus. But even now... I feel like my Laws have gotten significantly stronger.

But that wasn’t even the most impressive part.

As the goal behind attacking Autumn just now was simple.

He wanted to carefully slow down time and watch her technique unfold.

And of course, since the second time was the charm, he finally managed to comprehend her ability.

<You have copied Parry (Supreme)!>

Parry (Supreme): You may parry any one attack every 5 seconds.

Huh.

Rael was left stunned.

She had something this overpowered?

She could parry any attack once every 5 seconds?

No wonder she managed to parry his Heavenly Slash.

Furthermore, that explained her fighting style of keeping her distance and occasionally running away when she was a little too close to somebody.

But now that Rael knew the ability’s weakness, he knew perfectly well how to counter it.

If one Heavenly Slash didn’t work...

Try two.

At those thoughts, Rael raised both his arms and cast Heavenly Slash, sending two arcs toward her at once.

Or rather, one was delayed by a fraction of a second, so if she were to counter the first, she would get hit by the second.

And as if recognizing that, her expression suddenly paled as she cracked the space in front of her and tried to teleport away.

However, her attempts were rendered futile as the amount of Laws disrupted space, and by default, she couldn’t move out of the way.

But as the attack was about to hit her, one of the Ancient Primordials from the backlines suddenly appeared in front of her.

He raised both of his arms when, all of a sudden, two identical Heavenly Slashes appeared out of thin air and collided with Rael’s Heavenly Slashes.

The power was identical, and so the Heavenly Slashes canceled each other out, sending both parties flying backward.

Rael was about to protect Anna, but he realized that she wasn’t exactly a lost cause as she summoned a barrier and protected the two of them from being hurtled further ahead.

As for the Ancient Primordials, most of them had backed off, Autumn included.

And as for the one who countered Rael’s attack, it seemed to be a plain black-haired man, wearing a mischievous smile.

But when Rael inspected him, he was forced to pause for a moment.

Loki, The God of Mischief [Grade 10 Apocalypse Class | Level 9,999,999] - Vitality: Tier 100 (MAX) [100% / 100% HP]

The actual fucking Loki?
