Chapter 755: Mirror Realm Practice
Chapter 755: Mirror Realm Practice
"Am I not on the right track?"
Nyx let out a sigh.
"Not at all. You’re like miles away from it, actually."
Well, that was a bit disheartening.
And here Rael thought he was actually onto something.
But alas, his brainstorming didn’t actually lead him anywhere.
Though, seeing that he was sulking slightly, Nyx decided to give him a hint.
"The Mirror Realm is a place, and not something you just make by cracking space or whatever."
Rael’s eyes widened slightly.
"So it actually exists?"
It seemed like a dumb question, but in his mind, he thought that to enter the Mirror Realm, he’d have to fracture something.
In this case, that something being space.
But from her look of disapproval, it was clear he was wrong on both ends.
"If it didn’t exist, I wouldn’t have called it a Realm."
"Yeah... I get that now," Rael replied, rubbing the back of his neck. "Though you know, it’s kind of stupid that it’s a realm in the first place."
Nyx just shrugged at him.
"I didn’t create the Mirror Realm. Just bear with it and stop complaining."
Hearing that, Rael did exactly that.
And so, by focusing on his Law of Space, he began trying all sorts of different combinations, all of which were directed at accessing a reverse realm of where he currently was.
At first, he just opened up portals to some weird realms, none of which seemed safe at all.
But ultimately, after nearly an hour of trying, Rael managed to open a portal directly to an invisible realm.
Right as he was about to skip it, believing that this wasn’t it, Nyx stepped in, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"That’s the one."
Rael nodded, and immediately stored this feeling of opening a portal to that exact location.
Then, he closed the portal and glanced at her.
She immediately frowned.
"No, you’re not allowed to attack me now that you know how to send attacks inside the Mirror Realm. I may be powerful, but I’m not stupid."
Rael rolled his eyes.
"You know damn well I wasn’t going to attack you."
"Oh? So you looked at me like that just because you were checking me out?" Nyx asked, crossing her arms. "Just so you know, I’m too old for you."
Rael let out a chuckle.
"Bold of you to assume I’m not into older women."
BONK!
He wasn’t even able to react as she suddenly bonked him over the head and wagged her finger at him.
Getting the memo loud and clear, Rael stopped teasing her and instead moved onto the basics of this kind of combat.
Since he couldn’t outright attack her, Rael decided to fly far above the Dragon Realm until eventually, it seemed like he reached the very limit of how far he could go.
At first, he thought the Dragon Realm was a world, but as it turned out, it was just some flat plain that extended across a very far distance.
The flat earthers would definitely drool at this discovery.
Not Rael though.
But since he was far enough away, he raised his hand and fired off a basic Law of Infinity attack, the same one he did most of the time.
Except this time, he used a certain something.

Basically, he made it so that she was a target dummy.
A target dummy that could block attacks and/or use whatever she did last time to dodge him.
And as expected, the basic Law of Infinity attack that he had just thrown at her was effortlessly blocked as she sent it directly into the Mirror Realm.
Now that he knew what it was and what it looked like, it was pretty damn obvious.
He was kind of frustrated that he didn’t see it before.
Just in case Rael missed anything else, he continued tossing and throwing attacks at her, increasing the intensity with each attack thrown, until eventually, he realized that he couldn’t hit her once.
Rather, back when he fought her, he did hit her once, but aside from slightly injuring her, nothing happened.
Was there some sort of delay to the Mirror Realm he wasn’t aware of?
Curious, Rael threw a couple more of his attacks at her, increasing the speed of all of them, and sometimes even decreasing it, trying to catch her off guard.
Yet not even once did he manage to break through her defenses, which made him realize something.
She got hit on purpose.
Why?
Was she that keen on dying at the time?
Although Rael was a little puzzled by her intentions, he put it aside as he had more important things to deal with.
One of those important things was to limit test the Mirror Realm’s attack power.
And so, without wasting even a single beat, Rael cast another one of his Law of Infinity attacks, just this time, he made it incredibly slow.
At the same time, he focused on the Law of Space that he had and opened a portal directly to the Mirror Realm, sending his attack inside it, then quickly closing that portal.
It was very seamless, and more importantly, his powerful attack didn’t disrupt the Mirror Realm even one bit.
And so, he saw it travel swiftly and eventually strike Rei.
Or so he thought.
The attack simply phased through her as she stared at it without even budging.
Rael was in the same boat, except his eyes were wide.
But it only took him a few seconds to clock what was happening.
And as if catching onto Rael’s tomfoolery, Nyx reappeared from below, clicking her tongue at the sight.
"So not only are you attacking my friend, you’ve also overestimated this attack. Great."
"You can see her?" Rael asked. "Shouldn’t she kind of be like an illusion?"
"Since I’m contracted to you, I can see her," Nyx replied, then flicked him on the forehead.
"You’re missing one key component."
