Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 922: Empress of Reality

Chapter 922: Empress of Reality

“Hello.”

“…”

That’s it? Rael raised a brow. He had half expected this being to utter some ancient knowledge bullshit before wiping the floor with him.

But all it said was hello.

Welp.

“Hi?”

Rael decided to play along.

“Your existence is very alluring. Do you perhaps come from the Cursed Realm?” the being asked.

Rael rolled his eyes. “Which one is that?”

The being nodded. “So not the Cursed Realm. In that case, I take it you are just someone who has a very high understanding of Laws? Is that possible?”

It pondered for a few moments, then shook its head. “Never mind… I don’t remember you. My future self doesn’t seem to know you either. Who are you?”

“I’m Rael.”

“That doesn’t tell me much,” the being replied. “There are many Raels in the universe. I’m talking about something much simpler. Who gave birth to you? How many constellations do you own? How many Gods have you killed?”

“Dunno who gave birth to me. I own zero constellations, and I don’t think I’ve killed a single God yet,” Rael said matter-of-factly.

The being just stared at Rael with a slightly conflicted look. Obviously, it looked like Rael was a powerful being if he managed to do something like this, but for this regular being to not have an origin that was noteworthy… It didn’t make sense.

Rather, the being just failed to believe what Rael said. That was how unbelievable it truly was.

Despite that, the being had no choice but to listen to Rael, as in the current moment, this was not the being’s domain. It was Rael’s, which also meant Rael could do whatever he wanted to the being, and it wouldn’t be able to fight back.

Though, as much as Rael wanted to play around in circles with such a being, he also wanted answers. So with that in mind, he decided to do the simplest and most honest thing he could come up with.

And that was none other than telling him about his past, the interactions with the Supreme Beast, and all the theories Rael had come up with over the span of these many years.

It took a while to explain, and had Rael had no infinite mana, none of this would have been possible.

By the time he was finished though, the being just stared at him with a complex expression.

“That’s very intriguing… Could you leave this domain? I think I’d be more interested to meet you in my regular form.”

Rael tilted his head slightly. “Can’t you answer my question now?”

The being rolled its eyes. “Answer your question how, exactly? Do you understand just how complex your existence is? Even if I wanted to try figuring it out, I’d need to see you firsthand to be able to do so.”

Welp.

Rael felt like he had gotten himself in a trap, but then again, this being was the closest thing Rael had to whatever his true identity was. Whether this being was dangerous or powerful or whatever, Rael would figure it out and deal with it firsthand.

So of course, Rael simply nodded at the being, and after making sure everything he did was solid and recreatable, Rael went ahead and left the universe, reappearing back where he had been moments before entering.

The space was still as empty as always, but from the lack of messages from his wives, Rael was happy that the time stopping worked. Though, when Rael unfroze it, he immediately felt dizzy.

Not to mention, he suddenly felt an eye on him from extremely far away. So far away, it didn’t feel like the gaze was even coming from this universe to begin with.

And with every passing moment, that gaze got closer and closer, until finally, it was only a few galaxies away. Rael could feel the presence of that being, and safe to say… it was definitely much stronger than any being Rael had seen inside the High Tower.

If anything, this being was definitely the strongest he had seen in his whole life. After just a few more moments, the being arrived in front of him, leaving Rael all but surprised.

Instead of the manly voice from earlier, this person was a blue-haired woman with bangs and shoulder-length hair. Her eyes were crimson, and they contained a certain depth that made Rael pause for a moment.

Though, the woman quickly snapped him out of it by literally snapping her fingers.

“Can you hear me?”

“Yes?” Rael tilted his head.

The woman nodded. “Good. Apologies for my earlier appearance. You caught me during a time when I still had no idea how speech functions worked. I needed to reach out to myself to figure out the rest.”

Right…

“On that note though… My past self told me many great things about you. She even showed me a memory of you meeting. You met her during quite a peculiar stage in the universe.”

Pausing for a brief moment, the woman extended her hand, introducing herself:

“My name’s Isolde. I’m one of the Empresses of Reality.”

Ah.

Empress of Reality?

Uhh…

“N-Nice to meet you, miss.” Rael tapped into his boot-licker transformation. “You mentioned a peculiar stage in the universe, what did you mean by that?”

Isolde smiled. “It’s a stage where a new batch of worlds gains access to mana. You might think of it as a big thing, but it’s natural. It happens to every world, and so the world you’re referring to, as well as everything that happened afterward, was just the birth of mana. That’s about it.”

Rael thought that something like that might have been the case, but the reason he really reached out to her was about himself.

His past, his birth, and everything else. Rael wanted to know just how relevant he was. So now, for him to meet someone who was supposedly an Empress of Reality… It made Rael understand that there was definitely some realm he must have belonged to previously.

And so, Rael decided to ask her straight up.
