Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 923: Testing

Chapter 923: Testing

“So, uhh, what exactly are the Emperors and Empresses of Reality? Do you, like, govern all of existence or something? Are you related to the High Gods?”

“The High Gods are beings who don’t exactly hold any relevance in the universe. They are simply there to enforce order,” Isolde replied. Then, she enveloped him in a bit of her mana, staring at him with interest.

“If I had to guess, you are as strong as a High God at the moment. If you were to go all out and remove your limit entirely, you might even be able to rival us, the Ambassadors of Reality.”

Rael groaned slightly. He found all of this so hard to digest, because why in the hell were there so many realms? He could’ve sworn there was a realm for everything.

She seemed to recognize his unease too, however, as she went ahead and suddenly placed her hand over his shoulder, sending a jolt of mana throughout his entire body, and then stepping back in shock.

“You have a full mana body? That’s very rare. Even I don’t have something like that…” Isolde mumbled, then narrowed her eyes and decided to answer his earlier question.

“Also, yes, we do govern all of existence. We keep everyone in check and do the necessary world awakenings and eliminations. We have plenty of other things to take care of, but for the most part, we are pretty free.”

“I see…” Rael replied, then tilted his head. “Is Reality a concept, or is it a person?”

A faint smile appeared on her face. “All concepts stem from a person’s achievements. There are Ambassadors of Time, Ambassadors of Space, and many others. Reality just so happens to be the one that’s most important, so by default, we, the Ambassadors of Reality, also have the biggest burden, which is to maintain Reality.”

Hmm…

Rael had never thought of it like that. It was sort of interesting, but did that mean there were also Ambassadors of Lust? Did they handle the balance by sleeping with virgins?

Evidently, this whole scenario was way out of his knowledge range, and since Rael didn’t see any of those beings in any of the memories he had tried to purchase, he was sure that those memories would only appear whenever he advanced his Premium Facade perk to Ultimate-Unique rank.

Or… he could try figuring out a way to forcefully evolve it, pretty much skipping all the ranks and everything else. After all, if he could trick time and reality itself, it should be possible to do something like that, wasn’t it?

Rael continued thinking about the possibilities, and on the other hand, Isolde spoke up again.

“I feel like you’re someone who’s been born from the mistake of one of the Ambassadors. From your skillset, you might have the characteristics of the Concept of Death, Concept of Life, Concept of Reality, and Concept of Chaos.”

“Mhm. Well, that doesn’t really help me, you know? Is there any way I can meet these guys myself? I feel like I’d figure out a lot if I just so much as talked to them a little, you know?”

“Sadly, you’re not allowed to go anywhere near them, let alone Miss Reality herself, as she detests men, especially those who look charming,” Isolde replied.

Rael let out a chuckle. “Well, make sure to at the very least get my message across. I want answers more than anything.”

And if you don’t give me answers, I might just kill one of you and figure out the rest myself, he thought with a slight smile.

After all, she had inspected him from afar, and Rael was sure her presence didn’t come from the universe. Rather, it was somewhere much further outside of it. Rael knew that he could definitely track down the answers he needed.

But not before getting a little stronger first.

“So now that you’ve come here, what now? Do you know anything that could help me?” Rael asked once more.

He had already heard about the past from her, and it was evident that the only reason she appeared as a completely white being was so she could carry out her orders to bring forth an awakening onto the world.

Rael would love to consider that an accident.

But how could he?

The awakening happened right after he ate the Supreme Beast’s Eye. It was too strange, and now, to think that the Supreme Beast was nothing in comparison to these people really led Rael to believe there was so much more he had yet to realize.

He wanted to know everything.

But then again, he was also a little afraid of the knowledge. What if he became so knowledgeable to the point where he would forget himself?

What if, by finding out whatever he needed, Rael suddenly gained the knowledge of every being in the universe all at once? He could take in knowledge a little bit at a time, but taking it all at once… Rael was sure his mind wasn’t made for something like that.

But regardless of what that was…

“I could stay here for a little bit and perform some tests on you. They aren’t invasive tests, and you might even find them to be quite fun. They might help you figure out just what kind of being you are,” Isolde said, then paused for a moment.

“Truth be told, I am also intrigued. I have never seen a being who could so effortlessly put the Concepts to shame. It’s almost like you are the progenitor of Concepts themselves, pfft… Too bad it’s only a myth.”

Hmm…

Rael didn’t expect to see a red flag so soon. Still, he noted down the myth in his mind and then nodded at her.

He wasn’t sure what kind of masochistic experiments she would do, but so be it. If it meant he could get more answers, he didn’t mind getting at least a little hurt.

“Fine. I agree to do these experiments.”
