Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 974: Neat Trick

Chapter 974: Neat Trick

"Ah. That’s good. But you shouldn’t sneak up on someone like that. Even more so, you just disabled our defenses, which means if one of those beings really does come along, we’re going to be defenseless," the man replied.

Rael let out a sigh. If only this guy knew how little their weapons would do to those beings. After all, if Rael was in his usual form and did what he wanted to do, these people wouldn’t even be able to scratch his balls.

All it would take was a single thought to wipe out their universe. But oh well, Rael let this guy continue being delusional and listened well as he began explaining how shit worked. Obviously, since he was just some grunt, he didn’t know much, but in the span of half an hour that it took for them to walk from one part of the ship to another, Rael had heard something interesting.

"Can you repeat that last part?"

The man turned to him and raised a brow. "Mana Bonding?"

"Mhm." Rael nodded. "You said something about it doubling the strength of Laws through bonding them with Mana. Could you elaborate a little more on that?"

Though him being a grunt showed even more now. "Uhh... The only thing I know is that when you have a Law, you can draw out its power. If you make your mana the primary source of power that our Laws draw from, you can just funnel your mana and make your Laws very powerful."

If Rael had a smaller brain, this would seem impossible. However, theoretical knowledge, nowadays, was more than enough for him. With something like that, Rael knew that all he needed to do was find that connection, and from then on, he could do whatever he wanted.

But at the moment, this was just low priority.

"Rael?" Gaia suddenly called out.

When he turned to her, he saw her staring into the distance. Glancing in the same direction she was, Rael sensed another spaceship. Glancing even further past, he sensed two more.

"Oh, there’s like a whole fleet here. The other guys seem to have stronger people on board. We should go there next," Rael said.

Gaia nodded, and finally, the two of them turned to the man that led them here. Since they were now in front of the main control room, and the people on the outside already knew they were here, Rael and Gaia pushed the man aside and opened the door.

The moment they did, they were met face to face with a large cannon in front of them, its tip already glowing as a powerful blast of mana suddenly flew toward Rael. Yet instead of dodging it or being afraid, all he did was extend his hand and freeze the time of the blast.

Only then did he realize that it was actually some kind of laser attack. The laser itself was made out of miniature black holes, and even now, after seeing it several times, Rael was more than amazed by how these people managed to do this.

Despite that, the Grade 8s inside the control room were far more startled than the grunt earlier. But oh well, Rael didn’t care much as he approached them and smiled.

"Nice to meet you. Oh, also. Don’t mind me."

Before they could react, Rael went ahead and stashed away the cannon they just tried to shoot him with inside his inventory.

Afterwards, he glanced around in amazement as the entire control room was filled with monitors and controls he couldn’t understand at a glance. Honestly, so much complexity was really impressive.

Anyways, with exactly 4 Grade 8s here, Rael really felt like he might finally get something. Except, Gaia didn’t let him speak this time, since she knew very well he would just end up making more enemies.

Truthfully, she was also interested in this technology. Not only because it would benefit Rael’s universe, but also since she could implement it inside Yggdrasil. That way, if any Grade 10 being chose to rebel against her or attack the tree, she could blast them with an orbital cannon, killing them instantly.

Since as it stood, due to what Rael did and the freedom he gave to several, she now had a lot more things to worry about... Because the world he had messed with wasn’t the only one that existed. There were trillions of other worlds, and all of them were affected.

But she was selfish. So was he. So she accepted whatever he did, since she knew that if she found herself in that kind of position, she would’ve done the same.

And now...

"Greetings, humans," Gaia said, trying her best to sound reasonable as she glanced from one human to another. "We’re not here to fight. We’re also here to eliminate the Eldritch beings, and I believe we’re much more powerful than you, so we’d be successful."

Hearing that, Rael let out a sigh and directly spoke inside her mind.

If those people really do attack, get ready to get inside my mind, since I doubt we’d be able to tank their attacks.

Gaia nodded. [Don’t worry. I already thought of that. Also, is there any way you can suppress your mana? The reason I pointed at those ships was because they’re all headed for us, since we triggered a distress signal.]

Ah.

I see. Well, it’s whatever. Let’s just ask these guys, and if they don’t know, let’s get a name, kill them, and then steal all their memories, Rael said matter-of-factly.

Though Gaia just shook her head, disapproving of his standpoint. She had no intent to kill anyone here, since it wasn’t her universe. Although she was powerful, she still believed in bad karma. Killing someone who shouldn’t be killed was one of the top ways to get bad karma.

Rael clearly didn’t believe in that, not much anyway.

Anyways, she turned her gaze back to the others once more and continued:
