Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2516: Unknown threat

Chapter 2516: Unknown threat

Bloody Chariot flew over the vast seas for a long time. After he recovered from the injuries and the blood loss he had after the fight with that unknown beast, he thought he could speed up.

Bloody Chariot is just short of being a god. He could run around some planets dozens of times with his power in a single day. But the moment he tried to speed up, reality hit him again.

The creature he saw was just one of the money.

There were more predators in the seas that considered him as prey and constantly came after him. He learned his lesson this time and didn’t try to engage them. Even when he encountered creatures that were a lot more cunning than the first, he tried his best to avoid the fight which dampened his speed a lot.

But that wasn’t even the true threat that he had to face.

After flying over for a day, Bloody Chariot found what he thought was a dead zone.

There were no creatures around, and he could sense no living creature as far as his divine range allowed him to.

So, he figured he could speed up finally and he did.

But the next moment, instead of seeing surroundings blur away in a flash, he found himself in water. He was surrounded by it, he was literally drowning.

It took a minute for him to regain the vision back... he saw himself floating in a large water pillar that came out of the sea. And that water is trying to pull him deeper into the sea. And that was not all.

Some smaller creatures started swimming up the water and tried to drag him.

Bloody Chariot immediately swung his weapon and cut those things off. They are much weaker than him, compared to the first one he engaged with.

He could easily fight a hundred of these off.

However, he realized another problem after a couple of minutes.

He was actually drowning. He was not able to hold his breath anymore....

With his current strength and cultivation, he could actually go out into the space and sustain himself for hours, in vacuum without any trouble, much less holding his breath under water. But right now, he wasn’t able to do something so simple.

He realized the water became denser, making his more tired with every passing second.

Bloody Chariot focused on swimming and reached the edge of the water pillar. With a lot of effort, his kicked his legs, until he escaped it.

He felt like his lungs were about to explode if he had delayed coming out of there.

The water pillar that tried to kill him, suddenly disappeared the moment he was out of it. The sea returned to the stillness again. He tried hard, focusing all of his divine sense into the water.

But he couldn’t sense anything. Not even the small creatures that tried to drag him.

He gritted his teeth and started throwing energy spears into the water. But even then, nothing happened.

Not a single reaction.

If not for his drenched body and dripping hair, he would have thought it was all just a hallucination, which would have only been much scarier, because not a lot of things can make him hallucinate at his level and anything that could is a bad news.

Bloody Chariot was still confused and vigilant. He slowly moved around a bit, trying to see if there is gonna be any other reaction, but there was none, so after a couple of minutes, he just sped up again...

*SPLASH*

And found himself in the water pillar again.

This time, he was vigilant, cautious and even looked out for this attack. But still he was caught.

He felt fear envelop him. More than ever.

He never ever faced such an enemy and he dared to say that he had seen all kinds on the battlefields of gods.

But now, he felt so weak and useless. He barely had a memory of this feeling from his past.

He hated every second of it.

He gritted his teeth and decided to make a run for him. The spear spun around him, hoping to destroy the water pillar before it could completely envelop him again... But... He still found himself drowning in it.

With a lot of struggle, he barely made it out. He felt exhausted. Drained.

He panted heavily, looking around trying to figure out how to get out of here.

After some thought, he got an idea. He floated, around a bit, at a slow pace. But this time, there was no response from the sea. He increased his speed again, but this time gradually.

Very gradually... it was okay until a certain point, but soon the pillar arrived again.

After a few more tests, he finally figured something out.

He could move freely as long as he wants, but he could only move at a certain speed.

But that speed is basically as fast as an Astral Plane cultivator. For Bloody chariot, that was the speed of an ant scaling the mountain.

He didn’t have a choice though. He had to do it, even if tillhe didn’t want to.

He had to move at such a slow pace to make sure that he won’t get caught.

As for what would happen later and what force is causing him to live through this literal nightmare and how to get over it... that’s a matter for different time.

He just floated around in one direction, hoping that he would find a piece of land, at one point.

But with the vastness of this planet, he didn’t really have much hope that it would happen any time soon.

So, for the next seven days, he just flew at that pace.

And all this time, his divine senses were at full alert.

On that seventh day, he finally got a ping on that Divine sense.

Far away from him, almost a day away from him, was a landmass. And that was the only good thing that happened to him in a long while.
