Inside The Wormhole.

After Liam’s soul was taken back by Ellie.

Rio smirked after hearing Raika’s frustrated voice and kept spamming the mosquito-repelling wind technique over and over to keep Raika from destabilizing the wormhole or even getting close to its walls.

"Like I said, you are not getting back again..."

After Liam’s soul disappeared and Raika’s legendary artifact shattered, he became completely helpless against Rio’s attacks.

That legendary artifact seemed to be the main reason why this projection was so strong and why he was able to mimic others’ powers so easily!

But after it shattered, Raika became unable to mimic others’ powers, and due to the connection being cut from the main body, he couldn’t even use his world authority anymore!

Raika had jumped inside the wormhole because he wanted to chase Rio.

If Rio got transported to some random location, it would be impossible to find him and send the projection to his side to attack him.

That’s why Raika had to enter the wormhole to stay with Rio and keep attacking him.

But the situation changed completely after he entered the wormhole.

Ellie, about whom Raika didn’t even care a single bit, ended up bending the reality and re-summoned Liam’s soul back to her side while damaging his own important artifact from the inside!

This not only broke his main plan of making Rio frustrated by capturing Liam’s soul but also weakened him, causing him to fall victim to Rio’s weird skills!

Being swatted away like a random fly or mosquito over and over was truly very shameful!

Blood vessels appeared on Raika’s handsome face, showing that he was extremely angry at the moment!

Every time Raika tries to either escape or destroy himself, Rio will send a powerful wind blast and make him destabilized by blowing him away with wind elementals!

Not only was Rio not letting him escape, but he was also not letting him self-destruct either!

Raika was right; Rio also knew that he couldn’t keep that same thing up for long. They were both falling down the wormhole, and it had already been quite a few minutes since they entered it.

Which meant they were almost at the end of the wormhole and would soon be thrown out of it. After that, Raika can re-establish his contact with his main body once again!

Rio waved his sword and created a massive wind cage that confined Raika inside it.

He had already vented his frustration on Raika by swatting him away like a fly over and over; now it was time to get serious.

Rio smirked, and while ignoring Raika, he dove down at a high speed!

Rio dragged Raika down along with him while keeping him confined in one place inside a wind cage.

The cage bound Raika’s limbs tightly and even suppressed the energy in his body using sword intent to prevent him from self-destruction.

If Raika self-destructs, he will become free!

And while flying down, Rio also used his sword to suck all the energy from inside Raika’s body to prevent him from using any energy, be it mana or miasma!

Now Raika was completely helpless!

"There’s no point in taking my energy; I can just keep gathering it again from the surroundings!"

Hearing Raika’s words, Rio didn’t bother to answer.

It didn’t matter if Raika could gather energy; the wind cage and the sword intent will keep getting in his way and slow down his energy-gathering speed tremendously!

By the time Raika will have enough energy to self-destruct, months will have gone by!

And that was exactly what Rio was planning!

Using his mana to sense the surroundings, Rio figured out that the wormhole was about to end, and then he immediately took his stance.

"I can’t let you escape from here for the time being... and as I am unable to really kill you, I must confine you here..."

Rio remembered the discussion he had with Ashtel Rex before coming to this place, and he came up with the idea to confine Raika inside the wormhole!

Using his sword intent to the maximum along with the space and time elementals, Rio caused a spatial rupture at the end coordinates of the wormhole!

*BOOOOOOM!!!*

The wormhole immediately got destabilized from that insanely powerful attack, and to become stable again, it looped back to its original ’start’ coordinate!

Rio used Ashtel’s method to create a wormhole donut looped to itself!

Now Rio and Raika were both confined inside an endless loop of falling down!

If they didn’t escape the wormhole, they would both remain in the same state of continuously falling down for eternity!

"Phew~ that was difficult... I wonder when I will be able to do something like this more easily..."

Creating that wormhole loop was no easy task; a wormhole linked to the spirit realm and in such a weak form still consumed tremendous power and focus.

If it was a wormhole created from the main material world, Rio couldn’t have shattered its end coordinate with his current strength!

Rio took a deep breath and brought out the high-grade teleportation scroll, which he had been saving for so long, from his space ring.

Seeing that Rio was about to leave, Raika shouted,

"You can’t leave like that, Rio! You must listen to what I am trying to explain!"

"Only you can change it all! Only you can be the hero who can save this universe!"

"Become my friend, Rio! I will help you reach the very pinnacle of this world! And you can be the greatest hero out there!"

Rio shook his head and refused to listen to Raika’s words.

"Don’t waste your saliva... I am leaving, and don’t bother me again!"

Without wasting a single second, Rio opened the teleportation scroll and channeled whatever mana he had left into the scroll.

The teleportation scroll lit up with the glow of mana, and a massive magic circle appeared around Rio.

Then a big door appeared from the magic circle, and ladders extended to Rio’s feet.

"Oho... these high-grade teleportation scrolls are really fancy... they can even create portals with aesthetic designs..."

"That’s nice..."

It was in fact near impossible to actually teleport Rio from one place to another using the instant teleportation method because he was an anomaly and teleportation didn’t work on him properly.

Thus, Rio had specifically asked Ashtel to get the scroll transformed into a portal-type teleporter instead of an instant teleporter.

Rio waved his hand at Raika to say bye and jumped inside the portal.

The portal closed right after Rio left, and Raika was left behind with a dumbfounded look on his face.

Raika may not have lost to Rio in a head-on battle, but he lost to Ellie in an indirect but important battle.

It was his complete defeat.
