Chapter 614: Lia’s Adventure Begins! Part-3.
All members of Team Astra were weirdos in one way or another, and Kai had known it all for a long time now.
But even among the members of Team Astra, Lia herself was likely the biggest weirdo out of them all!
Not only was she a ’professional’ stalker, but her reputation was quite twisted among the people; she herself was a training maniac who was more fascinated by the thought of sparring and combat than anyone in their group!
Rio usually only fights when it’s necessary, Link fights for his loved one’s safety and for his dignity, and Riya doesn’t fight.
Liam would rather solve the matter with negotiations than fighting; only Lia alone is the maniac in team Astra who fights just for the sake of it!
She’s a bigger battle junkie than even Rio and Link; the thrill of battle brings immense joy to her, and targeting others’ weaknesses is her favorite special move!
This is also the main reason why she has earned the nickname ’Mad Demon Sword’ Lia!
[Sometimes... I wonder what kind of psychopathic villain you would have been if not for the fact that you have a loving and caring boyfriend at home pampering you all the time...]
"Even while being pampered like a princess, I would still choose to be the villainess!"
"I don’t fight for any great purposes, after all... I do this for the love of the game itself! Hehe~"
That small giggle might seem cute and harmless, but those who knew Lia would say that she was now in her ’Mad Demon’ form and it was better not to get too close to her unless you are strong enough.
*Shmmm~* *Shmmm~*
Waves of spiritual magic spread in all directions and forcefully diverted the flow of mana in Lia’s direction, boosting her strength further as she stood in wait with her bloodthirsty sword in hand.
Lia slowly opened her closed eyes; her mental perspective completely shifted from the normal view of a person.
Images of what was about to happen and what might happen started appearing in her vision along with the normal vision.
Although it seemed difficult to keep track of all that, Lia could see and process all those visions simultaneously and predict what was about to happen.
The pattern of falling leaves, the movement of grass, the flow of wind, the fluctuating flames, and the shapes of the clouds, Lia could predict everything in her sight with utmost ease!
Compared to how weak and difficult to control this prediction skill was when first awakened, Lia had come a long way.
Now, she was just a step away from rank S, and thus her skill control was also very high.
With this skill alone, Lia’s combat capability reaches almost equal to normal S-rankers, but she was not satisfied with just this.
She wanted to see how this talent, this skill of hers, will evolve when she reaches the next realm.
*KRRRRRRAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!*
"Here it comes..."
Just like Lia had speculated, this pile of corpses was the private property of a massive bird-type monster corrupted with miasmic corruption!
And Lia had trespassed upon the big bird’s private property, and it came flying right away at high speed when it saw Lia standing near its precious pile of food from far away.
"Seems like some kind of mutated version of a vulture or something like that..."
[Ugh, every time I see monster or creatures that are affected by miasmic corruption, I feel nauseous!]
[Why must they all look so ugly!?]
Ignoring Kai’s words, Lia grinned as she muttered to herself,
"I haven’t seen this mutated version ever before... I might have to dissect it to see what kind of mutations it has gone through..."
[Stop fantasizing about dissecting everything you see, okay! That thing looks like an S-rank miasmic beast!]
[Although due to miasmic corruption it might not have a mind or proper combat capabilities, it’s still going to be strong... are you sure you want to fight it?]
"I will think about that after dealing with its first attack!"
While Lia and Kai were busy bickering with each other, the monster straightened its neck and positioned its beak straight towards Lia and flew down like a missile locked onto a target!
"I like how straightforward this bird is... it attacked on sight; it kind of reminds me of how Rio treats his opponents..."
"Never talking much and just attacking with most lethal moves right from the start..."
Although the monster was an S-ranker, and its flying speed was quick enough to create sonic booms in the air, for Lia it was as slow as a snail.
Not only was Lia capable of predicting its movements and easily understanding its complete trajectory, but she was also fully capable of dealing with ’fast’ attacks!
After all, the person she often sparred with was so ’fast’ that it was near impossible to predict or block his attacks!
Compared to Rio, this bird was nothing.
"Let’s see what you have got in your arsenal..."
[Silver Lion Swordsmanship: Immovable Invincible Lion King!]
Lia thrust the tip of her sword straight towards the sky, and it collided with the monster’s hard beak head-on, causing a massive impact and a powerful shockwave to spread in all directions!
*BOOOOM!!!!*
The ground cracked, and debris blew away in all directions as everything in a kilometer radius was blown away by the sheer force of the shockwave created from the explosion!
Despite all that destruction, the two individuals who caused it all stood unharmed at the center of it all!
"Hmmm, much weaker than Rio’s casual strikes... don’t tell me that this is your full strength; otherwise, I would be very disappointed..."
With a thoughtful look on her face hidden under the helmet, Lia tilted her head as she took her sword back and stood straight.
Although the powerful impact shattered the ground, Lia didn’t move a single inch from her original location.
It’s not that Lia is ridiculously strong in terms of physique like Link; she could withstand that attack simply because she had worked hard to come up with a way to nullify powerful physical impacts!
The ’Immovable Invincible Lion King’ was not an original technique of the ’Silver Lion Swordsmanship’; it was added by Lia herself, specifically to counter people like Link who relied heavily on physical damage.
