Chapter 642: I will not retreat Again... Part-1.

Ever since Lia learned Spirit Dive, she has never had to use her ultimate move, which is summoning Kai in person.

Even when she was fighting Rio in the Supreme tournament, she couldn’t summon him because she knew that Rio’s ’Sword Intent’ was extremely effective against Kai.

And the same was true in the ascension spire.

Due to being a spirit beast, Alverto’s ’Soul Resonance’ was extremely effective on Kai, and Lia dared not summon him in person to fight.

But today was different.

Although Nine was not cooperating with those demons, he was still more focused on accomplishing his task of capturing Bela and the various legendary artifacts of the fairy race.

In other words, Lia had to confront seven S-rankers, out of which, Nine and Trnak were both peak S-rankers and were powerful veterans!

It might not seem like that, but when fighting Nine and Trnak, Lia was already struggling, after all she had too much to protect and too much to lose in this battle.

Now that even more S-rankers have jumped into this battle, it was impossible for Lia to keep holding back.

A powerful pressure so strong that all beings present in the battlefield felt suppressed spread out in all directions as a massive circle made up of spirit magic opened up in the sky.

Trnak who saw this situation panicked and shouted at the two mages in his group,

"Stop her!!"

The two mages hurriedly tried to use ’spell counter’ and ’summoning ritual interruption’ magic, but their spells had no effect on the massive magic circle.

"W-we can’t stop this summoning!? Wh-what kind of creature is she summoning to have such a powerful summoning circle!?"

The mages panicked as their spells didn’t work; they were both an entire rank above Lia, and yet they weren’t even able to interrupt her summoning circle, which was already a big enough sign that something was definitely wrong.

Although the mages panicked, Trnak and others didn’t, the close combatants rushed forward while Trnak charged a powerful bow attack and fired a shot at Lia.

But unfortunately for them, they were all still a step too late.

All the attacks, skills, and even Trnak’s bow attack were blocked midway by a gigantic silver paw and were completely purified before they could even reach Lia.

A massive Silver Lion the size of a five-story building slowly and proudly walked out of the giant summoning circle as his massive paw stood in front of Lia and Nova like an unbreakable shield.

Just the presence of that massive Silver Lion was enough to make nearly all A-rank and below level creatures on the battlefield feel unable to even move, and only the S-rankers were able to remain unaffected!

Looking down at the seven S-rankers with an angry look in his eyes, Kai spoke,

Powerful gravitational waves spread through the space-time fabric and tossed every enemy like a ball, planet, or celestial object being tossed away from its orbit with immense force!

The seven S-rankers were blown away in different directions with such force that the hills and mountains collapsed from the impact of them hitting them.

One of them directly hit the ground, and a massive crater was formed as his body twisted into an abstract piece of artwork due to being blown with too much force and spun like a car’s tire with too much force!

*COUGH!!*

Of course, Lia didn’t remain unharmed after Kai used so much power!

She coughed up a mouthful of blood as the shine of her silver armor dimmed, her helmet turned into small fragments and shattered, and a lot of her buffs disappeared!

Nova hurriedly tried to support her with her small hands but Lia stopped her and spoke.

"Take Bela and others; I have created a precious escape window for you all. don’t waste this chance obtained with great difficulty..."

Nova wanted to say something, but Lia shook her head and pushed her away; thus, with a helpless look, she had no other choice but to leave.

By now she was sure that Lia was very strong, and if she stayed here, she would only get in Lia’s way and make it more difficult for her to exert her full strength.

With tears appearing at the corner of her eyes and her fists clenched so tightly that her nails almost dug into her palms, Nova gritted her teeth and flew away after taking one final look at Lia’s mighty figure.

Seeing Nova leave, Lia brought out a high-grade mana recovery potion and a high-grade healing potion before gulping them both down.

She coughed some more blood as the healing magic took effect and the mana recovery potion replenished her lost mana.

"This is the main reason why I don’t prefer interfering in your battles myself... you are still not ready to manifest my true power as of yet..."

Hearing Kai’s words, Lia wiped the blood from the corner of her lips as she glared back at Kai.

"Who told you to use such a powerful attack then!? You nearly killed me!"

Kai could only shake his head in helplessness at those words.

"Believe me, that’s the weakest attack I could come up with in that moment... I didn’t even use my ’world authority’ in that one..."

"It’s not even one percent of my power..."

The difference between Kai and Lia was too big; Kai being a peak SS-ranker and a being of immense power and strength was still too difficult for Lia to handle.

Just this one attack from Kai drained her entire mana pool, and the burden of it almost shattered her body and soul into pieces!

If not for the fact that Lia had already known that she wouldn’t die through her foresight, she would have never dared to do such a reckless thing at all.

"Mana can be recovered, but the mental load and soul power depletion will only recover over time, so I can’t sustain you for long..."

"So, make yourself useful and stop chatting with me..."

Having nearly died, Lia was not in the right state of mind at the moment, and she felt irritated and angry for no apparent reason.

She looked at the massive army and noticed that nearly half of the two armies were either killed or injured fatally from the previous attack, causing the entire battle to come to a halt.

This gave the panicking fairies a chance to breathe and retreat safely while the attackers hurriedly tried to stabilize the battle.

Nearly all A-rankers were wiped out as they were too close when the attack happened, and out of seven S-rankers, only the two mages that had relatively weak bodies got fatally injured, and the rest only received minor injuries.

Nine slowly crawled out of a massive pile of debris and used the vitality from the cursed artifact to stop the bleeding.

His entire right arm was twisted like a towel being wrung for drying, and blood was falling like a fountain from various places.

Even Trnak had his upper torso twisted 180 degrees backward, and every time he moved, his broken spine creaked and made horrific noises as mind-shattering pain assaulted his entire body!

Out of the original seven S-rankers, only four remained in proper combat form with very few injuries!

Just as Lia was thinking that she could take a sigh of relief and relax a bit, another teleportation portal opened nearby and a new enemy joined the battlefield.

"No wonder there was such a powerful spatial fluctuation here... so it’s you who’s attacking my army, Divine Spirit General, Kawaki..."

The newcomer had an extremely handsome face, and the two bluish-red demon horns on his head only made him look even more handsome.

Wearing a bluish-red armor, the demon brought out his broadsword as he smirked at Kai and looked at Lia before saying,

"You have chosen a master?... that’s quite surprising..."

"I had no grudge with you divine general, but you have really pissed me off by attacking my subordinates today..."
