Miasma thick enough to instantly kill an A-ranker permeated the air, forcing Riya to deploy her healing field to resist miasmic corruption.

"What is even going on here? This scene... it reminds me of when Alverto used his legendary skill, soul resonance, to summon hundreds of thousands of demons and monsters to attack us in the Ascension Spire..."

Confusion and bewilderment appeared on Link’s face as he narrowed his eyes while looking at the monster tide.

"Is there someone with the same ability as Alverto out there who’s conspiring against us? But that wouldn’t explain the strange teleportation though..."

Hearing Link’s words, Lia shook her head.

"No... I don’t sense anything odd at play here... the strings of destiny of all these monsters seem pretty normal to me..."

"The main reason they all seem to be rushing at us is just because of miasma driving them crazy and likely asking them to target us... but that begs the question... why would miasma target us like that?"

Riya, who had completed expanding her healing field, suddenly spoke out at that moment.

"It’s aimed at me... As a blessed of the ’World’ and the ’Inheritor of the Heart of Eternal Nirvana’... I am like a lightbulb in darkness..."

Kai also nodded his head at Riya’s words.
