Chapter 737: Forgotten World, Cyria-229. Part-5.
The contradiction of the blooming settlement inside that isolated valley while everything outside was barren and plagued with miasma was very odd and almost unnatural.
"The strings of destiny of this entire planet are in a broken or chaotic state, but they are intact in this one single place..."
"Also... I am sensing massive destiny fluctuations from that altar located at the central plaza..."
"What even is this place?"
Not just Lia, everyone in the group was confused, and everyone looked at Kai for answers, but even Kai could only shake his head in helplessness.
"The current state of this planet is completely unfamiliar to me..."
"According to the dwarven myths and legends, this planet was supposed to be a technological utopia with all kinds of powerful giant megastructures, like planet disks, planet engines, etc., installed on the planet..."
"But from the looks of it now... it seems completely different and almost unrecognizable..."
"Half-orcs aren’t even supposed to be existing on this planet at all!"
Kai had no idea how these half-orcs ended up on this planet. They obviously had poor technology, and there was no sign of any spaceships at all.
It was highly likely that these half-orcs were either thrown here by some spatial crack or some low-rank dungeon at random!
"Maybe I can extract some information out of them if I beat up their leaders half dead and force them all to spill the beans..."
Hearing Link’s plan, Riya rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"No way, you aren’t that kind of person, Link; don’t do something like that, we can just negotiate peacefully..."
"And I can offer my healing magic in return for telling all of their secrets..."
Lia, on the other hand, shrugged her shoulders and spoke calmly.
"Why bother with all that? I can just manipulate a few of their leaders’ destinies and make them spill all the beans right away..."
Hearing Link’s and Lia’s plans, Kai couldn’t help but shake his head.
’As they say, birds of a feather flock together. These fellows are Rio’s friend for a reason; just like he likes using weird methods, they are the same too...’
’Only Riya has some common sense in this group of monsters, it seems...’
Just when the group was trying to figure out what method they should use to coerce the half-orcs to spill the beans,
Hundreds of thousands of gigantic spears made of dense miasma came crashing down from the other atmosphere of the planet! And one of the spear’s targets turned out to be the small settlement!
The half-orcs in the small settlement noticed the spear of miasma, and panic spread almost instantly.
An old man who seemed to be radiating the aura of a peak S-ranker came flying from a hidden underground place in the ruins and stared at the falling miasmic spear with grim eyes.
Soon after him two other S-rankers came rushing; one was a massive half-orc tall enough to put buildings to shame, and the other was a frail half-orc woman who seemed to be in an injured state.
Link and others noticed the three S-rankers of the half-orcs, but they were more surprised by the spear of miasma, as it had a very familiar aura lingering around it!
"Wait... is it just me, or does that miasmic spear have a little bit of Rio’s sword intent lingering around it?"
Link’s words startled Lia, who immediately activated her destiny strings scanning ability to analyze what was going on!
"No, this spear’s strings seem to be visible to me... it’s not Rio’s creation; if it was, I wouldn’t have been able to examine it..."
"With that said... the sword intent lingering around is definitely Rio’s... Could it be that Rio is fighting someone in outer space and the other party used miasmic spears to attack, which Rio deflected with his sword intent?..."
"That might explain why it has a little bit of sword intent lingering around it..."
Rio’s sword intent was very potent and extremely invasive; whenever it touched anything apart from Rio’s own body, it invaded the other party’s body and tried to destroy it from inside out!
The miasmic spear was touched by Rio’s sword intent when being deflected, so the lingering sword intent was trying to shatter it, but due to not having enough energy, it seemed to be failing.
"This is a good chance to play hero to save the distressed beauty!"
Link’s eyes shone brightly as he launched straight towards the falling spear while shouting loudly!
"Evil spear! I will not let you harm the innocent people below!"
"Fear not everyone! The great hero Link Rex is here for the rescue!! Hehe~"

[Divine Dragon Martial Art: Fist of Purification: Light of Justice!]
Link’s entire body glowed brightly as light elementals with potent purification abilities enveloped his entire body and condensed around his fist!
*BOOOOM!!!*
With a single punch, Link shattered the miasmic spear into pieces and stopped it from harming the half-orc tribe below by completely evaporating all of the miasma with his purification ability!
After dealing with the miasmic spear, Link flew down towards the half-orc tribe like a hero with a wide smile on his face.
All the orcs looked at him with curiosity and admiration in their eyes!
Children rushed over to praise him and shake hands with him to show their admiration.
Looking at Link acting like a hero, Riya and Lia rolled their eyes and rushed over to Link’s side to act as the hero’s comrades!
Although the plan to blend with the half-orcs by saving them and then using them to extract information was a bit shameless, the group had no other choice at the moment, so they could only start acting!
Although the half-orcs were speaking some unknown language, thankfully they had Kai, who could translate what the half-orcs were saying; otherwise, their plan would not have worked out properly.
Soon the three S-rank half-orcs of the tribe came to greet the hero’s party and welcomed them all very enthusiastically!
