Chapter 827: The Creation of Elemental Sword Art. Part-3.

*Rumble! *Rumble!* *BOOOOM!!!!*

Just when Zain was about to drown in a sea of despair, the entire underground facility suddenly rumbled violently, and a loud noise of an explosion rang in everyone’s ears with a bang!

Massive cracks appeared in the entire lab, and a gigantic chunk of debris fell down on a nearby researcher, completely crushing his entire body into meat paste!

"AHHH!!! AHHH!!! What is happening!?"

"What was that explosion!?"

"Arghhhh!!! My head!! My head is bleeding!!!"

Chaos erupted in an instant as many researchers got injured by the falling debris!

The wristwatch on Professor Daniel’s hand suddenly started glowing brightly, and a voice message rang out urgently.

"Professor! The core generator has been damaged! One of the sub-generators blew apart, and the power line is now in chaos!!"

Hearing those words, Professor Daniel’s eyes narrowed as he asked back instantly,

"Stop panicking first; calm down and tell me how this happened!"

At the words of the head researcher, the other party went silent for a moment before a new voice message appeared.

"According to your recent instructions, we transported the failed batch of test subjects from yesterday to the burner located near sub-reactor No. 2. Just an hour ago..."

"B-but... it turned out that one of the corpses sent for cremation suddenly mutated after entering the burner!"

"A strange purplish-black liquid started flowing out of the corpse’s eyes like tears of dark blood, and then the body suddenly mutated into a demon!!"

Professor Daniel’s eyes turned serious, and a look of solemnity appeared on his face as he immediately realized the seriousness of the situation.

In this underground research facility, there were actually no soldiers or awakeners stationed at all!

All the researchers in this place were just ordinary dark elves! Due to war, all the security personnel had already been withdrawn from this place to deploy them into the battlefield!

The only reason the research facility had been surviving until now was because they had never dared to capture any awakener or powerful beast, let alone a demon!

In terms of self-defense, the researchers only had a few laser guns at their disposal, and even they were just old models that seemed to be lacking severely in combat power due to years of lack of proper maintenance!

The sudden appearance of a demon was like a life-and-death disaster for them, as they had no means to deal with that powerful foe!

"Have you sealed the area around the sub-generator?"

Hearing the question of the head professor, the person at the other end replied in a solemn voice,

"Professor, I have already locked the area; if not for that, the entire underground facility would have collapsed in that explosion."

"Tha-that demon, it actually broke out of the burner with raw force, shattered the heavy concrete wall, and jumped into the sub-reactor room with insane speed, killing all the nearby researchers instantly!"

"Moreover, once in the sub-reactor, it started breaking the plutonium fuel rods out of the reactor core and started eating that radioactive fuel!!"

"The miasma seeping out of its body fell into the reactor, and the entire reactor core exploded, almost destroying the entire underground facility!"

After hearing those words, the eyes of the head professor narrowed even more and he suddenly asked,

"Wait. If the reactor core has exploded... then how did you survive? The line you are using is the inner line of area C, where subreactor No. 2 is located."

"If you had sealed the doors and had contained the radiation and explosion inside of it, everything should have been destroyed inside. How are you calling me?"

At those words, a strange silence appeared as the person on the other end stopped speaking all of a sudden.

*kerekekekekerreekre.... You saw through me quicker than I was expecting... kekrkkrekreke....*

A voice that seemed to resemble someone scratching a chalkboard with nails rang out from the other end and made the head professor clench his head in discomfort.

The voice was so uncomfortable to hear that even Zain, who was strapped to the chair far away from the chief, felt like his mind was breaking apart just from hearing it.

"A demon. So, you have actually grown to the level where you can use human speech to deceive... What a monster."

Cold sweat appeared on the professor’s head as he felt chills run down his spine thinking back to the fact that he was actually talking with a demon all this time.

*KEKRKEREKEKRE, don’t be so mean, Professor Daniel. I am not the monster here right? You are far worse than me... After all, you were the one who made me into what I am now. Kerkekere*

*You killed my daughter with your experiments right in front of me... So, you are the main reason why I have become like this. Kekrekrekrekere...*

Hearing those words, the head professor could not help but feel his stomach churn as he hurriedly blocked the contact line.

"Hurry! Block all reactor core areas; immediately issue the kill command! Release poison gas and kill all the test subjects we have."

"If the demon manages to eat somebody, it will only get stronger!"

"Pack up all the research results! We are leaving this place right now!"

After issuing various commands, the head researcher hurriedly removed the restrictions from Zain’s body and started dragging him away with force.

"We have to bring this brat with us; he’s the result of our years of hard work. We can’t let him fall into the hands of that demon!"

"Follow behind me if you want to live kid."

Although Zain didn’t want to believe in that cunning old man, he had no other choice.

The opponent was a mutated demon born out of hatred and resentment; the other party would not distinguish between friend or foe and would kill everyone at sight!

Zain wanted to die, but even he didn’t want to end up as food for a demon!

His parents had sacrificed their lives to protect him from a demon; Zain did not want to disappoint his parents’ souls again by becoming demon prey again.
