Chapter 836: The Turning Point. Part-1.

Island Ravendome, Blue Raven Harbour, Year 2878

*Step* *Step*

Walking down a cargo ship, Allen covered his head with the hood of his cape and covered his face with a simple mask.

"So this is Blue Raven Harbour... this is the first time I have come here. Sigh, no matter how much I travel this world, it always surprises me how tenacious life can be..."

"Despite the fact that this small island is located thousands of kilometers away from any nearby continent on the planet, people still live here normally just like any other place..."

Hearing Bela’s words, who was in disguise just like, Allen glanced at the dilapidated ship docking area of the harbor and replied in a calm voice,

"Well, the war has been going on for centuries now; many cities have been destroyed, and a massive amount of people have been rendered homeless during this time..."

"Originally only a few escaping refugees lived in this place... but over time more and more people kept escaping from the various continents, contributing to the creation of this new port city..."

Allen’s voice carried a hint of helplessness and tiredness.

Centuries of war and endless conflict had certainly taken a toll on his mind and body too.

Allen had started the war in hopes of keeping the demon race’s population in control.

His original motive was to just carry out regular purges of the demon race to keep their overall threat to a low level, but miasma was never going to sit still and let Allen do whatever he pleased.

Despite years of endless conflict and war, the population of the demon race not only did not decline but also kept increasing instead, as the sea of miasma kept sending more and more demons to invade the solar system from outside!

The sea of miasma was located millions of light-years away from this solar system, and yet it could still teleport its minions close to the solar system using its growing influence in the spirit realm.

The original Demon Extinction war that was supposed to be fought on the demon continent had now developed into a multi-realm war of endless chaos and destruction.

Allen and Bela had to constantly go into the spirit realm to cleanse it over and over to stop the expanding influence of the sea of miasma there while still participating in the war of the main material world.

"Sigh, the movements of the demon armies have been very strange as of late. Let’s not dilly-dally; we need to finish the meeting and get back to the frontlines as fast as possible to support Farim and the others."

Hearing Allen’s words, Bela nodded her head, and the two of them started walking towards the city’s central area.

"But it’s really strange that they are organizing a meeting of gods in this place..."

"Usually, a meeting of gods is supposed to be organized in the territory of a powerful race... Island Ravendome is not even allied with any of the nations on the planet and is a free land..."

"Why are they arranging a meeting here I wonder..."

Allen smiled after hearing those questions and replied in his usual calm voice,

"This is a secret and urgent meeting that has to be held to discuss the growing threat of the current Demon King... among all the past Demon Kings that I have killed, the current one is certainly the most troublesome one..."

"That fellow seems to have a weird power that can interfere with the flow of ’information’ across the world to a certain extent... even well-guarded secrets are easily seen through by him..."

"We must maintain a high level of secrecy if we want to figure out a way to deal with him..."

Even Allen felt a bit helpless to a certain extent, as even the Heavenly Will supporting him couldn’t properly predict or analyze that weird Demon King.

"I see... well, let’s hope we can discuss a proper counterplan to deal with that weirdo this time... The last meeting of gods was chaotic like a fish market, and we couldn’t even come up with any new war strategies..."

Bela felt tired just from the thought of meeting those fellow comrades of hers who only knew how to quarrel among each other without actually contributing much to the association itself.

"Haha... sigh... well, everyone is getting tired of this endless war; millions have died in this conflict, and an entire generation of SS-rankers has been eliminated over the years due to endless battles..."

"The entire solar system is piled up with more dead bodies than we can count in a lifetime..."

"Unfortunately though, unless we find the ’Abyss Gate’ that the Sea of miasma is using to teleport its minions over to our solar system and seal it, this war will not end so easily..."

The Sea of Miasma was using the spirit realm like a bridgehead for its minions and had established a hidden ’Abyss Gate’ somewhere inside it to teleport its minions to a location near the spirit realm weak nodes of their solar system.

Demons were spilling out of the spirit realm and the dungeons, along with endless miasma from all directions, causing the war to keep going for ages!

Unfortunately, even after searching the Spirit realm for centuries, Allen and Bela had yet to find any clues to the actual location of that ’Abyss Gate!’.

"Sometimes I wonder if starting this war was really a good idea or not?... sigh... If even I am feeling disheartened, no wonder the others are so annoyed too..."

"The integrity of the entire association has taken a major hit..."

Shaking his head in dismay, Allen walked to a nearby café with Bela to take a much-needed short break.

Both of them were the main leaders of the Association and were constantly on the frontlines due to the nature of their powers.

And as they say, the more power one has, the more responsibilities they would have too.

The workload on their shoulders was massive, but they both knew that they could not falter.

If they faltered, the entire world alliance would fall apart, and Miasma would win this war of survival.
