Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 873: Zain Dred, The Broken Ghost. Part-4.

The legendary skill ’Destination Point,’ blessed with the power of the ’Law of Death and Destruction,’ granted its user a profound understanding of the ’Path’ of any being or creature in existence.

Zain Dred even went as far as to say that he could see the ’destination’ of even a random rock and where it would end up in the future.

This kind of power was simply a cheat ability that could grant its user a lot of advantages against others!

To an awakener, their ’path’ was their greatest source of strength, and its destruction would mean the loss of everything for an awakener!

Zain could directly target a person’s ’Path’ and use his legendary skill to forcefully ’End’ that ’Path’ for the person destroying them from inside out!

This overpowered ability was almost at the level of ’Destiny Manipulation’ that the Demon King Nebo Dahaka had!

Moreover, affecting others’ ’Path’ was just one of the many applications of this legendary skill!

’Destination Point’ could also be used to understand and enhance your and others’ paths too!!

In other words, Zain could forcefully enhance the illusory concept of dreams and ambitions in others’ minds and bend their fate to some extent to help them reach their ’Destination Point’ in a much easier way!

Zain’s ability to tame and gather so many powerful summons like ’Vilsna, The Abyss Dragon’ was derived from this legendary skill, as he could use this skill to influence the direction of life of some powerful creatures across the world and force them to be his tamed undead beasts!

The Abyss Dragon alone was strong enough to cause immense headaches to even a peak SS-ranker with its extremely high damage resistance and corruption-spreading abilities, but Zain had many similar-level undead in his arsenal!

If Zain was still alive and a part of the world alliance, he would have been on par with people like Ashtel Rex and the Dragon King!

’He’s like Neo Aldif but on steroids!’

’I wonder how many decades it will take for Liam to reach this level of power...’

Although Zain was strong, Rio believed that Liam had the potential to surpass him sooner or later.

"Your legendary skill is absurdly powerful... no, every legendary skill is absurdly powerful in its own way and form..."

Rio was fascinated by Zain’s legendary skill and felt a bit envious, but then he realized that his own legendary skill hadn’t yet fully manifested at all!

The true power of ’Sword Intent’ was ’Absolute Erasure,’ which meant that it could grant its user the ability to cut anything and everything in existence, be it a physical entity or a formless phenomenon!

"Haha! You are right! All legendary skills are absurdly powerful! I have seen a fully manifested ’Sword Intent’ in Allen’s hand!"

"If paired with ’Vinash,’ which you already have, ’Sword Intent’ can become overwhelmingly powerful!"

The scope of power and the nature of their effect were vastly different from each other, but all legendary skills had the potential to influence the very strings of destiny in one way or another!

This was also the reason why many people went as far as to say that those who could awaken ’legendary skills’ could defy fate itself and soar straight through to the sky!

"My legendary skill lets me perceive others’ paths in a very detailed manner, and I can manipulate and influence them in any way I wish to... but of course, you are an ’Anomaly’; my powers will not have much effect on you..."

"I can only give you indirect hints at most... like when I left information about my presence in that giant death swarm worm, which you read and used to come here."

Hearing those words, Rio finally realized why he was always feeling a weird sense of oddity when he read through the memories of that worm demon.

’I subconsciously noticed that my ’Path’ was being indirectly manipulated in a direction that I would meet Zain somehow...’

’If it was someone malicious trying to do this, I would have easily realized the truth and would have become immune to this manipulation instantly, as my ’true immunity’ skill would have triggered...’

’But since Zain had no bad intentions and just purely wanted to meet me, true immunity did not trigger...’

Even the most ruthless tyrant who could slaughter countless people without batting an eye was not immune to the power of love and care, let alone Rio, who had already been suffering from loss of heart for a long time.

"The idea of indirect ’Push’ is good... but currently, I am stuck in a dilemma; I don’t have enough mental capacity to fully analyze my own soul and figure out why I am losing all of my emotions..."

Hearing Rio’s words, Zain sipped the tea and replied in a calm voice,

"You are actually going in the opposite direction of where you should be heading."

"Rio... your soul is an ’anomaly.’ It’s impossible for anyone or anything to analyze an ’anomaly’ and figure out its true nature! Not even you can do it, at least not until you are sufficiently strong enough..."

"So, instead of resisting the ’Ascension,’ you should have gone for it right away! Only with sufficient strength can you understand your own true nature!"

Zain’s words hit right where Rio needed them to, and his eyes opened wide as the ’Third Choice’ that seemed difficult to grasp suddenly became a lot more clear.

"That... but that’s a gamble... If I didn’t get enough power after reaching the Demi-god realm, I would have already lost my emotions and would have no other way left to return to the starting point..."

Zain smiled at that question as he stared into Rio’s eyes and spoke in a loud voice,

"Rio, the ’Path’ you have chosen to walk has no options of turning back and restarting from the start point... you cannot stagnate or restart at all! You never had those options!"

"So, stop being a coward and start moving forward just like you always have!"

[Ding! Congratulations! You have realized the truth and found the final missing piece of your puzzle!]

[Ding! Your understanding of your ’Path’ has crossed the necessary threshold!]

[Ding! All conditions fulfilled to the most perfect state! You can now choose to ascend to the next realm at any time!]
