The moment Nebo Dahaka spoke those words, it seemed like the heavens finally lost all patience and smashed down heavenly punishment straight onto the Demon Palace!

The dark purple bolt of heavenly punishment was imbued with the power of the ’Laws’ of the universe and was destructive enough to ’Erase’ the space-time fabric itself with a mere touch!

Even a peak SS-ranker would have instantly died on the spot if hit directly by this kind of attack, and yet, not a single speck of concern appeared on the Demon King’s face, making Rio confused.

The confusion did not last long, as the heavenly punishment suddenly lost all its power the moment it came close to the Demon Palace and dissipated into nothingness without causing any damage whatsoever!

"The heavenly punishment cannot harm the artifact blessed by the power of ’Origin’ itself... the ’Grand Temple of Origin’ is an indestructible existence that can violate all laws of nature to rebuild and retain its entire existence on its own."

"This is one of the main reasons why King Allen or any other member of the world alliance could not destroy the Demon King Palace no matter how hard they tried to erase the royal power of the Demons..."

"They never knew that what they were trying to erase was something created just for the sake of saving the world..."

Under the bombardment of heavenly punishment, the Demon King’s voice sounded much quieter, but Rio could hear and notice the sarcasm in his tone.

"Usually, individuals need to reach peak SS rank and sacrifice their chance to ascend and use their life force to establish a temporary connection with the ’Origin,’ like ’Ivan Maher’ of the first golden generation..."

"But that is a very unreliable method and can fail 9 out of 10 times! Ivan Maher was lucky to succeed; others just die in vain as their voices are never answered."

The Demon King suddenly turned towards Rio and looked into his eyes before saying,

"If you ever want to seek the ’Origin’ I suggest you collect at least ’Seven Fragments’ and use this temple to establish the connection..."

"I was hoping that Alverto might be able to do it at one time, but he got bewitched by ’that’ entity and fell short... As for me, I can’t even leave this solar system because I am bound by the rules of miasma and am supposed to be a Demon King of destruction for this planet."

"Unless I completely destroy this planet and attain higher power, miasma will not allow me to even step a single foot out of this solar system. Only you can complete this ambitious dream, Rio..."

Hearing those words, Rio’s eyes shook for a moment as he realized that if he really managed to establish a stable connection with the ’Origin,’ he would be able to inquire about his own ’transmigration’ and all of its actual conditions!

In this universe, if there was anyone who could help Rio find answers to all his questions, it was the ’Origin’ itself!

"So... what’s your motive behind telling me all this? You don’t really expect me to help you collect these fragments for you, right? Even if I collect them, I will at most use them for myself... not for others."

"What do you seek in the future created from the hands of an ’Anomaly’ that you dare to gamble it all on me?"

Although Rio was thankful that the Demon King told him about all this, he remained calm and rational through it all.

Unless it was Lia, swaying Rio’s heart with just a few words was not an easy task for anyone else!

"Haha, by the time you collect them all, I would have long been dead; moreover, if you succeeded in collecting them all, I would have already won and achieved my true goals..."

The Demon King raised his arms upwards and stared at the heavenly punishment, continuously trying to bombard the demon palace with a fanatic look on his face before shouting loudly.

"My greatest wish is the utter destruction of miasma, which became the cause of the destruction of my entire race... I wish for the destruction of the very existence of mana and miasma from this world!"

"Without these supernatural forces of power, my people could have lived a much happier life; they would have flourished and lived for a long time to come..."

"The only motive I have left in life, which not even miasma could corrupt despite capturing my soul, is ’revenge’ against the ’world’ for not protecting my people!"

"I want to question the ’Origin’! I want to ask why it let forces like mana and miasma inside! Why did it let miasma ravage the universe? Why seek such new changes when the old order was much much better and peaceful!?"

"I want to ask why my people deserved to die while others thrived!! I want nothing but answers!"

Despite having the legendary technique ’Destined Fate’ and having access to almost an endless amount of information and secrets of the universe, the Demon King still could not grasp the true core secrets of the universe, which only the ’Origin’ knew about!

To find the answers and seek knowledge, he sacrificed tremendously to gain the legendary skill of ’Destined Fate,’ yet he still could not find the reason why his own people were ’destined’ to die off.

Despite having the power to manipulate the very strings of destiny, Nebo Dahaka could still not change the fact that his people were long dead and the main suspect behind it, the abominable sea of Miasma, was still roaming the world like a king!

Becoming a Demon King was never his own choice! It was Miasma who had made him this way, just to mock his existence for its own entertainment!
