Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1335: DNA

Chapter 1335: DNA

Now that the alliance between the Reborn company and the demi-human kingdom was set in stone, the time for celebrations had finally come.

The entire Sacred Tree became a place for festivities. Of course, everything was sponsored by the Reborn company, which meant that the food, drinks and the entire design itself borrowed from the Nation of Reborn.

That was why Levi, Theresa, and the other human soldiers finally had their first interaction about the culture of Reborn.

This included the propensity of adult men to participate in something called a drinking game.

And just like the Red Mankey soldiers a few days ago, these human soldiers were quick to take on the challenge and became extremely wanting of more beer.

While everyone was still having fun, Michael instead turned to things that needed to be settled.

For example, the Magical Monsters.

He still didn’t know everything there was to know about these strange creatures. How were they created? What made them so powerful? These questions were important to answer to know how to defeat them. After all, it became painstakingly clear that the Magical Monsters were one of the reasons why the Ersatz organization set their sights on the demi-human kingdom.

So, he decided to inspect the cavern where the Magical Monsters had made their nest.

Of course, he couldn’t go by himself. These Magical Monsters were still very much powerful, and very aggressive. It would be prudent and safe of him to have one of his Mini Drones first assess the situation in order to ensure that he wouldn’t be killed the moment he stepped foot inside it.

With multiple Mini Drones in his perspective, he used their unique power to phase through the walls and enter into the dark cavern.

And immediately, he felt the presence of multiple powerful creatures on the ground. There must have been thousands of them here. All of them, seemingly in wait for anyone unlucky enough to venture too deep into the darkness.

If he hadn’t saved Theresa’s army, they would have had to fight through this entire horde all on their own. What a scary thought.

He looked down, seeing the chimera creatures in their natural habitat. Around them, he saw these giant eggs hanging on the walls through some kind of sticky web.

And using his Supreme Talent, he inspected one of the eggs to see what it was like inside.

And what he saw sent chills down his spine.

The eggs... contained human bodies. Dead, human bodies.

Every single egg in this place, all hundreds of thousands of them, were made out of human corpses, encased in the shell as if it was their coffin.

Michael had no doubt that the Ersatz was the one who did this. The corpses here were deliberately put inside of these eggs as some kind of fertilizer for the unborn chimera inside.

He could see it. A little worm. Wriggling like a caterpillar. Then, it would crawl through the human corpse inside the shell, eating through the cadaver in order to support itself. Its body grew ever so slightly.

And as much as Michael wanted to get out of here and get this savagery out of his mind, he knew that he had to dig in deeper if he wanted to figure out what these things were.

He willed his Mini Drone to become smaller, smaller than even a pebble, before letting it delve deeper into the shell, entering inside it like a miniature submarine.

Once inside, he was able to see the corpse in the egg itself.

And in the heart of this corpse, he saw what he already expected.

The Artifice.

The Ersatz was using their own men in order to grow these Magical Monsters. Now, whether they were simply using dead members for food or not was another question entirely.

It was very well possible that the Ersatz was recruiting men just for the sole purpose of feeding them to the chimera eggs.

Michael’s anger towards the Ersatz grew as he learned more and more about what they were doing. The lengths in which they defile the sanctity of life was completely abhorrent to the life that he was aspiring towards.

They must be stopped.

He looked down, towards the chimeras inside this cavern and couldn’t help but see that look in their eyes.

They were strangely... human. Except, it was grey and soulless.

And eventually, he made the decision. He reached deep down within himself, using every bit of power he had at his disposal in order to create something that would eradicate this entire place from the plane of reality.

Thousands of golden, magical circles appeared on the floor, surprising the chimeras.

Then, Michael appeared above them, the golden glow in his body alerting them of his presence.

His Nascent Influence boomed out, creating a shockwave that made tremors throughout the entire cavern.

Golden nanoparticles appeared around his body. His Nascent Armor.

And through his will, through his imagination, through his intent, he commanded the golden nanoparticles to form into a completely new shape.

A few seconds later, a new shape emerged.

A golden wand. One fit for the supreme of all Mystic Masters. Electrical pulses permeated this golden wand, as if there were circuits hidden inside this particular baton.

He raised the wand and swished it in an arc.

Immediately, the golden circles around him started to glow even more brightly. The mana in the air started to bubble, as if they were being disturbed.

Then, they started to get more powerful. Empowered by none other than Michael’s Nascent Influence.

That was right. Michael was combining magic with Aubility Powers.

He didn’t even know that this was possible. But he knew he had to do it.

A golden aura burst out of the magic circles, like they were a tide from a tsunami. Then, they began to flood the entire cavern, engulfing the entire army of Magical Monsters.

And as they were being swashed by this golden aura, their very DNA itself was changing.

The human part of their chimeric body was separating from the monstrous part.
