Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1345: Late to the party

Chapter 1345: Late to the party

Lazarus bursted out of the Pocket Dimension with a completely crazed expression written on his face.

"They’re using Ersatz corpses!" he shouted with haste. "They’re using their own dead to nurture these beasts!"

He had secluded himself in the Pocket Dimension, completely focusing himself onto finding the secrets of the Magical Monsters and how they were able to breed and become so powerful in a short amount of time.

And after some investigations, he was able to find the crux of the whole situation. Somewhere in the DNA of these chimeric creatures, were the leftover imprint of the humans who were used in order to breed them.

And of course, this discovery was something that was very crucial in the fight against the Ersatz.

Lazarus knew that a prolonged fight with the Ersatz would only end up in their favor. After all, while human factions fought them for longer and longer, their resources would slowly dwindle down.

There were only so many powerful soldiers in the army. And especially those who were talented enough to become a Maugnetic. And not to mention the rarity of the GodForge pieces themselves.

Meanwhile, the Ersatz army had a completely self-sustaining amount of soldiers in their side.

They could draw from the innocent civilians that they were able to brainwash to become their fodder. And even if they died, their corpses would still be used to breed those Magical Monsters and completely dominate the world through their sheer number of assets.

This was the kind of news that would completely change the whole situation of the game!

He had to tell this to everybody so that they could stop fighting against each other and finally work together and fight the Ersatz.

But when he got out of the Pocket Dimension, he was soon welcomed with the fact that a lot of things had happened while he was gone.

Thankfully, a soldier from Theresa’s camp was quick to explain everything that went on, giving Lazarus the directions over to Michael’s camp.

A couple of minutes later, the undead Mystic Master came to Michael’s door, requesting a meeting.

Of course, Michael didn’t decline.

"You... you fought against those Magical Monsters. I have to tell you something about them."

"That they’re bred from human corpses?"

"Ah—"

Lazarus stood there, jaws unable to shut. "Yes... how did you know?"

Michael then told him about how Theresa’s camp was almost annihilated when they were caught in a trap in the Magical Monsters’ lair filled with thousands upon thousands of those creatures along with their eggs.

"You found their lair?! I must go there myself," Lazarus exclaimed, immediately rolling up his sleeves as if he wanted to go down into the Chasm by himself.

Michael stopped him. "I’ve already destroyed everything."

"YOU WHAT?!"

"It’s a travesty of a creature. In order to offer the souls of those humans underneath their DNA, I had to kill them all as well as all of the eggs in their lair. As of now, my Shadow Orcs are scouring the entire demi-human kingdom in order to search for any signs of those creatures. And if they do, they have my express permission to kill them at sight."

Lazarus was at a loss for words. Of course, he knew that Michael’s decision was ultimately the right one in this case. It was better not to leave any Magical Monsters for the Ersatz to come back and retrieve.

"You couldn’t even leave behind an egg for me to study?"

Seeing Lazarus act so despondent, Michael couldn’t help but feel sorry for the guy. He truly didn’t act as the typical Mystic Master who had their emotions locked up in a mysterious facet. Instead, Lazarus wore his emotions on his sleeve.

"If you want to learn more about these creatures, I can send you some information about them," Michael said, offering him a consolation.

"That’s nice... but it still wouldn’t be as good as an actual specimen. You wouldn’t know which part to focus on. Their strands of DNA, their bone structure and density, their blood, everything. Those types of things are important for me to form a decent conclusion..."

While Lazarus continued his spiel about the different kinds of evidence he needed to find, Michael raised his hand and summoned a golden circle in his hands.

A stack of papers appeared on top of his palms, making the undead Mystic Master immediately shut up.

"Ah—"

Michael handed him the stack of papers. "Is this enough?"

The contents of the paper was an exact scientific study about the biology of the Magical Monster species as a whole. It was compiled by none other than ChatJK6 herself, so one could trust that it was completely accurate without any mistakes.

She was able to analyze every single chimera and their types when Michael fought them, so it was easy to do something as simple as a research paper.

Lazarus looked at the paper in his hands, jaw still wide open in complete surprise.

"You... YOU USED MAGIC!"

Michael shrugged. "Oh yeah. Forgot you weren’t there. Yep. I can use magic."

The Mystic Master was so surprised that he eventually had the stack of papers in his hand slip out of his grip, sending them tumbling and flying into the ground.

It was at this point that something caught Lazarus’ attention.

He looked down at a specific page in the document, finding something there that had made his eyes go wide with a realization.

Seeing this had immediately made his mind go into analyzation and calculation mode, completely forgetting about Michael’s casual admittance of an impossibility.

Lazarus immediately drew deep into his own power, summoning an Arcane Magic of his own soul to create a leather skin ready to be inscribed on.

He then began writing in a furious calculation, carving the leather through his sharp nails with some kind of unknown language.

It was as if Lazarus was in his own world. He didn’t even care that he was in Michael’s own room. He just kept on working and working.
