Chapter 1347: Research and development

Lazarus almost flipped out when he realized the kind of technology Michael held back in the Nation of Reborn. With a little bit of teleportation magic, Michael was able to transport them both back at the Research and Development division of the company.

This place was where all of Reborn’s ’inventions’ were taking place. One could see scientific pulses of light emanating from the walls, making it seem scientific and mysterious for a guy like Lazarus.

There were scraps of automobile parts here and there, some of which were still heavily in development, having V8 engines meant for sports cars they hadn’t released yet.

Glass panes were being manufactured on another part, which were going to be used to try and recreate a touch screen for the future versions of the mobile phone.

This was where Michael took his ’ideas’ and made them into life.

Although he would like to take the credit, the true talent here were the researchers and scientists in charge of this department.

Whenever he had an idea, like a computer or a television or a water heater, he would always go there to the Research and Development center of the nation. Here, they were in charge of fixing all of the kinks and problems of Michael’s inventions and making them usable here in this world.

"This place... it’s magnificent," Lazarus muttered to himself. "But more than that... you... YOU CAN TELEPORT IN SUCH LARGE DISTANCES?!"

Seberus, who was following behind them, began laughing boisterously. "Finally! Someone who understands my pain!"

Anyway, Michael led the two of them to the Research Director of this department, which was a Yellow Mankey by the name of Matricia. She would definitely be able to create the necessary equipments that Lazarus needed for his research.

As soon as the female Yellow Mankey saw Michael, her eyes immediately widened. "Supreme Leader! Have you come to give me another burst of enlightenment?!"

In order for them to create the modern appliances and technology from Michael’s previous world, he had to first teach them everything about that world. That included science, engineering, and even culture.

So, whenever Michael wanted something created from modern Earth, then he would first go to Matricia and give her all the blueprints and necessary knowledge in order to understand how to create that technology.

"Your idea about a touchscreen for a phone is incredibly genius, Supreme Leader. I am working hard to implement it on our next versions of the phone. It’s still a little heavy for my liking, and it’s not as responsive. But with the 850th iteration, hopefully we could—"

Michael immediately raised his hand to stop Matricia from telling him everything they did for research. "We’re actually here to request something from you."

The Yellow Mankey, despite the obvious workload under her shoulders, still looked completely excited upon hearing that another mission had been assigned to her. "Just give me the instructions, and I shall follow!"

Michael told her about the DNA sequencing that Lazarus needed. Then, he turned to the undead Mystic Master himself to ask him what he needed more for his research.

"Uh... I’ll need something to grow specimens with, I guess..."

"I see. Maybe a hydrotank that will be completely sterile from the inside will be good," Matricia muttered. Then, a Diva appeared above her head, which was a figure of a godlike woman with eyes as sharp as that of a crows’.

That woman looked at Lazarus and made eye contact with him. And immediately, their minds connected. All of the specifications that the undead Mystic Master needed for his research was immediately understood by the Diva.

And within seconds, a 3D holographic projection of the entire ’growth’ lab was created. It contained every single machine, every single hydro tank needed to create a Magical Monster from scratch.

Seeing this, Lazarus’ eyes widened with love and adoration. "YES! YES! EXACTLY! SHE’S PERFECT!"

Matricia opened her eyes and bowed. "Pleasure to be of service! I shall create a mission in the system for the Engineers and the Construction Workers to start creating the Growth Lab."

"When will it be finished? Can I see it now? Can I oversee it’s construction?" Lazarus asked with fervor.

Michael chuckled. "Yes, you can. But for security’s sake, I think it would be best if the lab is located here in the Nation of Reborn. Which means that you would have to move here for the time being."

Lazarus immediately nodded without any hesitation. "Of course! No problem."

Seeing his lackadaisical attitude, Michael turned to Seberus. "Is it really okay?"

The white-beareded Mystic Master sighed. "Well, people of our caliber can do whatever we want, as long as we report back to the Guild of Arcana. Don’t worry. I’ll make sure to inform them."

It was incredibly helpful to have two Mystic Masters as your allies. He should get more of them in the future.

"Anyway, Michael. Like I told you, don’t slouch on your magic, okay? You’re an 8-star magician now. Just one level away from being the same as me. But the difference between the two realms is as expansive as the difference between a mortal and a Maugnetic."

Michael nodded. He wasn’t slacking on his magic. He just hasn’t figured out a way in order to become a 9-star wizard yet.

He knew it had something to do with Arcana Magic, which is the equivalent of the Sword Intent, but for Wizards. But how does one awaken such power?

Seberus told him everything that he was supposed to know. But it didn’t work. By all means, from their requirements, Michael should have long become a 9-star wizard.

But he was different. Not only was he the recipient of a Supreme Talent, but he also has control over all the natural mana in the world. Perhaps, there were different requirements for him to become a 9-star wizard.

There were 9-star wizards back in the Ancient Era. If only I could ask them... ah right. We do have one I could ask.
