Chapter 1348: Movie promoter
Chapter 1348: Movie promoter
Michael immediately flew over to the other side of the Nation of Reborn, away from the production section of their kingdom, and towards the residential area.
Standing in the clouds, looking down, he saw a crowd of people gathering at a single street in the Main Boroughs. They stalled traffic, causing a lot of congestion and angry pedestrians and commuters.
The cause was none other than a giant Red Dragon laying down on the street, posing with gusto and a lot of confidence.
"Nyahahahah!" Zion laughed. "Be careful. The King Dragon will find you. And he will get what he wants."
Immediately, the crowd went into an uproar, with a lot of women cheering and applauding. He even saw some of them pass out when Zion looked into their direction.
"Oh my god..."
It seemed that the little movie Zion created had become a great hit within the Rebornian social media. Now, he was the center of attention, even when he explicitly told the young Dragonborn to keep it low key.
"Yohohohoho! Please stay in line. Those who have a ticket will get to have a picture with our young star first. Those who don’t have a ticket, you can come to me directly to purchase your own!"
Michael shook his head as he saw a skeleton wearing the ’King Dragon’ merch atop his grisly body.
He couldn’t believe it. The mighty Grieve had become nothing more than a movie promoter...
It was hard to think that this guy was a 9-star wizard! And he was from the Ancient Era too! Unfortunately, it seemed that when he lost his memory upon his resurrection, he also lost his sense of respect.
Michael eventually descended down towards them, causing more uproar from the citizens around them.
"Michael!"
"Supreme Leader!"
"Can I take a picture with you?!"
Michael didn’t like the fact that the nickname, ’Supreme Leader’ was also starting to get used by the general public.
"Grieve. Zion. Can I talk to you both?"
The young, red Dragon swept his wings in a dramatic fashion, earning him more cheers and applause from the crowd. "Fear not. For the King Dragon King will return. King Dragon 2: electric boogaloo!"
Upon his tease of a sequel to their movie, the crowd began clicking on their phones, taking pictures, recording, and sharing them to the Rebornian social media.
Eventually, the three of them found their way back to the Rebornian estate.
"Yohoho! What a successful promotion it was, young Zion," said Grieve, counting the Sand Dollars in his bag.
"What can I say? The crowd loves me," replied Zion.
Meanwhile, Michael was just sighing as he witnessed this incredulous situation. "I thought you were working hard on returning to your human form?"
"I can’t, bro Mike! What if we began filming our sequel, and then suddenly, I turn into a human? That would be a great travesty!"
"You can’t stay in your Dragon form forever," Michael reminded him. If he continued on with this, he may never be able to return to his normal form again.
But instead of being afraid, Zion took the completely different lesson.
"... you’re right, bro Mike. It’s so much better if at the end of the movie, I turn into a human and life a happy ever after with my romantic interest! That’s genius! You wouldn’t mind me sending a message to the director about this change, would you?"
Michael just sighed as Zion began furiously typing an entirely new script in his phone.
"Him, I get. But you?" he asked Grieve.
"Yohohoho, but isn’t this fun, young Michael? I can’t remember the last time I had women screaming to get my attention. Ah! How wonderful."
"But you were a general in your previous life. One that was feared and respected at the same time."
Grieve tilted his head. "Was I? I probably was. But that was too long ago, yohohohoho!"
"You’re a 9-star wizard, right?"
The skeleton general nodded. "Correcto-mundo!"
"Which means that you have an Arcane Magic of your own."
"Yepster!"
Michael then tilted his head, confused at something that he noticed. He looked towards the Mithril Artifact sword on Grieve’s waist. "But you use a sword. Shouldn’t you have a Sword Intent instead of an Arcane Magic?"
Grieve looked towards Michael, and in a rare moment of lucidity, spoke with a lot of gravitas and seriousness. "There is no difference, young man."
After saying those words, Grieve shook his head, and returned to having that happy-go-lucky look on his face.
Michael was completely surprised at this revelation.
Arcane Magic and Sword Intent are one and the same?
Sure, they were both powers that could fight against Maugnetic Aubilities. But they couldn’t be any more different!
One used magic, and the other, a sword.
If the two powers were one and the same, then the Guild of Arcana and the Order of the Heavenly Knights would be the same organization. Mystic Masters and Heavenly Knights would be the same title.
Instead, they were different. Just as it should be.
Sword Intent, from what little he knew about it, was the extension of a sword. A swordsman could cut metal even without wielding a weapon, only doing it through his intent.
Meanwhile, Arcana Magic is a realm of reality that Mystic Masters have complete control over. Seberus was in charge of fire. Meaning, he could create any kind of spell that related to fire.
Michael didn’t understand how the two could be the same.
Grieve is from the Ancient Era... which must mean that in that period, Sword Intent and Arcana magic are one and the same.
But because of the Cataclysm, that changed. Humans could no longer have Sword Intent and Arcana magic at the same time, much like when humans lost the ability to wield Unity.
"Grieve, how did you become a 9-star wizard?"
The skeleton general shrugged. "I dunno. I don’t even remember what I ate for breakfast... Maybe it has something to do with my sword. I think..."
Perhaps, he could achieve both kinds of power. He had the magic down. Now, he only needed the sword.
