Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1352: Michael’s Sword Intent

Chapter 1352: Michael’s Sword Intent

The Heavenly Swordmistress could only sit down in her own wooden porch as she tried to understand the situation.

"You... you can already perform the Sword Intent?"

Michael had shown her his version of the Sword Intent. Of course, it wasn’t anything like hers. The best he could do was cut through something in front of him as if he had an actual sword. Real Sword Intents could do so much more than that.

But still, this was proof enough that Michael truly was an anomaly that could not be compared to anything else.

"You’re an 8-star wizard, with a fledgling Sword Intent. You’ve achieved more than any of those ambitious warriors from before," Eldea said, sighing.

She had seen monstrous talent in the sword. Jaku was one of them. However, Michael was a completely different beast. It was as if he was a genius in every aspect of the word. Magic, sword, business, science, everything! It’s as if there was nothing that he couldn’t do.

"I feel like there’s something missing from my Sword Intent," he said to her.

Eldea took a second to compose herself, before standing up and looking the way that a Heavenly Knight should look.

"Ahem... well, let me see how you swing your actual weapon."

Michael clicked the iron switch in his hand, showing off the Unity Saber in front of Eldea.

With each swing, the air warbled and thundered as if lightning was contained inside the saber itself.

Eldea’s focus was entirely on the Unity Saber. The intensity of her attention was incredibly off-putting. She was putting her face just inches away from the Unity beam itself! Michael was worried that she was going to cut herself if she moved just a little bit closer.

Though, as a master herself, his worries were probably unneeded.

"Amazing... what a powerful weapon. One capable of destroying anything. Can you... can you make one for me?"

Michael had never been asked that before, so it took him a little bit before he could reply.

"Ummm... I guess? I haven’t really tried to see if the Unity Saber could work away from me."

If it was before, then it definitely wasn’t possible. His control over his own Aubility Power was very limited.

But things have changed now. He was a Nascent Spirit cultivator. And because of that, his own power had grown leaps and bounds. It actually felt as if there was no limit to his Aubility Power now. He theorized that a [Switch] could work even if it was halfway across the world from him.

"Sure," Michael eventually relented. "As a gift from me to you."

He gave her one of his spare Unity Sabers.

"Thank you," Eldea said. "I will treasure this and treat it as one of my most important heirlooms."

Once she had secured the weapon in her storage, she turned back to Michael and focused on him. "Now. You were about to demonstrate your sword skills."

Michael performed simple swings for her. As if he was in an actual battle.

Now, with ChatJK6 guiding his movements, he didn’t look like an absolute idiot in front of the Heavenly Swordmistress.

He was actually decent. His skills would be comparable to that of a veteran warrior. One whose fundamentals were very solid, with seemingly no holes in their postures and form.

But of course, he was still far away from being called a talent.

The better way of describing him would be that he had achieved the pinnacle of what an average person could achieve.

Which is to say, not bad.

"You the basics down," Eldea said. "But I feel like this is not your strongest attack. Your swings are hesitant."

As expected, she could see right through him. "I do have another move," he said to her. "But it’s going to involve my Aubility Power. It’s the most powerful attack that I have."

Eldea spread her hands. "Try me."

Michael eventually nodded and took a deep breath. It’s been a long time since he’d pulled out this move.

After all, with his Drones and his multitudes of weapons, there was no need for him to use his own sword to defeat his opponents.

But now, he did as Eldea asked.

He used his most powerful attack. The [Quantum Slash].

A golden aura emanated out of his chest, before it transferred over to his wrists. It gathered there, coalescing, condensing, until reality itself began to fold unto itself because of the intense gravity Michael’s wrists had created.

The distortion in reality spread forwards, now reaching the Unity Saber in his hands.

A bright, orange light hovered above the very weapon itself. That was the fabric of reality, turning itself afire from the distortion that Michael had created.

And as this power gathered in front of Michael, the wind around the Nation of Reborn began to change.

It was as if a storm was blowing its whistle. Everyone in the nation looked up, wondering if there was a catastrophe awaiting them in the coming days.

Eldea, on the other hand, looked at Michael’s glowing sword with seriousness in her eyes.

Her hand was now hovering in her own scabbard, ready to pull it out at a moment’s notice.

She had noticed that this kind of attack was not simple. She could not treat it as something she could brush off. If she let it hit her, then she could possibly be injured!

That was a stupendous thought. Her, a Heavenly Swordmistress, being injured by a teen who had barely even held a sword in his life?

But it was true.

Michael opened his eyes. Then, he swung his Unity Saber forwards, hurtling the reality-bending force that had gathered in his blade.

An arc of pure energy. White-orange, the image of pure hotness, it had curved and headed straight to the skies.

In an instant, the clouds above had parted, leaving a clear view of the heavens above.

The arc continued on towards the outer sky, turning smaller and smaller until it disappeared into a wink in the heavens.
