Chapter 1353: Quantum forms

Chapter 1353: Quantum forms

Michael let the Unity Saber settle down, heaving and sighing from the exertion of power he had unleashed just a few seconds ago. It had been such a long time. He hadn’t accurately estimated his own strength.

The power of that Quantum Slash was a lot stronger than he was planning. Now that he was in the Nascent Spirit realm, his power had reached an entirely new level. Michael wondered why he hadn’t been using this power before. If he had, he would have easily defeated multiple Nascent Spirit cultivators in a row using only this power.

Judging from the power it unleashed, Michael had no doubt that it could shatter even Nascent Armor.

"So... what did you think?" he asked Eldea.

The Heavenly Swordmistress was still looking up, an indecipherable look on her face making Michael a little bit curious. Did she think that it was weak? Did she think that he could have done better?

However, all of those worries were immediately turned into nothing as Eldea turned to him and with wide-eyes, said:

"That was your power... I can’t believe it. A sword style so simple, yet so powerful. How did you come up with such a thing?"

Eldea was a master in understanding the sword. She knew when something was good. She knew when something was bad. And she was definitely sure that the [Quantum Slash] Michael performed was something that could only have been made by a master of the sword.

Someone who had an innate understanding of the blade and reality itself, allowing the latter to infuse itself onto the attack with such devastation.

It was perhaps the most lethal Aubility Power she had ever seen. Just based on the fact that it was at its base form, it had allowed Michael to use a power far beyond even his own current form.

"I can tell that this is not your strongest attack," Eldea said. "There is a lot to be left desired. You can improve upon your own attack and truly become something that even those at the top of the Nascent Spirit realm fear!"

Michael didn’t expect such a compliment from Eldea.

"So, how did you come up with such a sword style?"

"I didn’t," he replied. "Someone close to me helped me."

Harbinger. His own Diva. He would have immediately asked his own alter ego, but unfortunately, ever since he had advanced to the Nascent Spirit realm, his own Diva had yet to show himself to him.

For once, Michael was starting to miss his incessant chattering.

"Well, it’s a very powerful sword style. But something that is still needing a lot of work."

Michael felt that too. His Quantum attacks had a lot of potential. But he hadn’t been able to grow or even use it because of his own circumstances. Especially now that Harbinger was gone.

"Can you help me?"

Eldea looked at her own sword, its scabbard tied on her waist. "Each and every swordsman has their own path. Even if I told you everything I know about creating a sword style, I would only be teaching you my own. It may not necessarily help you on your own journey. It may even impede it."

Michael guessed as such. These things were very personal. And unless he had Harbinger teaching him how to perform those Quantum attacks, then he wouldn’t be able to progress much with it.

This made him think.

How did Harbinger even create this sword style in the first place? The first time his Diva mentioned it to him, he did it during the auction. It was a time when he was in a very dangerous situation. Life or death. And in order to choose the path of life, Harbinger had to teach him how to use those Quantum forms.

Harbinger didn’t tell him how he came up with those things. Divas weren’t supposed to know things that their own Maugnetics weren’t supposed to know. In fact, they weren’t even supposed to talk and think like a normal person.

I remember him telling me that the Quantum Step and the Quantum Slash are moves that he had dumbed down in order for me to use it.

He was, after all, only a Body Formation cultivator back when Harbinger taught him those moves. He couldn’t bring out its full potential, so Harbinger had to make those moves simple.

But now, he was a Nascent Spirit cultivator. He had the capacity to unleash an inordinate amount of Aubility Power that his previous self couldn’t even comprehend.

Back then, he couldn’t even use his Quantum Step consecutively without using his batteries.

Now, he could basically use them indefinitely.

He was now starting to wonder what more these Quantum forms could do now that he had reached maturity of his own Aubility Power.

"My advice for you, young man, is to challenge yourself. Be uncomfortable. Only through hardship will you progress with your own cultivation. This works in any aspect of reality, but especially in swordsmanship.

Well, except one person. Jaku. That little lazy bum can somehow keep up with masters even though he didn’t spend a lot of time practicing. But perhaps, in his sleep, he is experiencing that hardship."

Michael took Eldea’s advice to heart. Though, that last part seemed like she was just venting. After all, Jaku was a hard ass when it came to practice. Even in the Chasm, the Dragonborn had been basically absent.

"Alright. Thank you," he said to Eldea.

"Though, I did notice something peculiar," she said. "That sword of yours."

She pointed to the Unity Saber.

"It can somehow amplify your own power. I saw it with my own eyes. It’s as if your Aubility Power and your blade are harmonizing with each other."

Michael’s eyebrows raised when he heard that.

Perhaps, that was a clue. Perhaps, the answer to everything had been staring at him in the face this entire time.

It was Unity.

Michael shook his head. Maybe, that’s the reason why he couldn’t advance to become a 9-star wizard.
