Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1354: Unity…

Chapter 1354: Unity...

Unity was his first power from the very start. It was a manifestation of his Supreme Talents. It was also something that tied him to the Ancient Era.

Ever since the Cataclysm, the world lost its ability to wield all eight elemental mana. Now, people were born with only one or two mana talents. Those who could wield three were called geniuses. And Michael was the only one who could wield all eight.

And as he progressed with his own cultivation, he began to have the ability to imbue the power of Unity in everyone else.

Those who he had awakened would also gain the ability to wield Unity. The best example of this would be the Dwarfs. Before, they couldn’t even wield any mana besides from Fire.

But now, they could mold Unity to their own designs. They were now creating tens of thousands of Unity Power Sources back at the factory in order to produce their smart phones en masse.

Michael liked to think that he was starting to bring back the golden era for humans. That he was starting to mend the broken pieces that was broken during the Cataclysm.

Each and every thing that he had done throughout his entire time here in this foreign world was bring back what was once good.

He had wielded Unity when nobody could. He had awakened demi-humans, when they were previously thought to have no talent for awakening. And he also awakened the Ancient Roar into the Dragonborns, which were thought to have only been wielded by the Mythical Monsters of the Ancient Era.

And just recently, he had just learned that Sword Intent and Arcana Magic were one and the same back in the Ancient Era.

Now, after Eldea pointed it out, it became ever more obvious to Michael.

It was Unity!

That was what was missing for him to finally advance to become a 9-star wizard!

He had to master Unity!

Throughout this entire time, his control over Unity was basically nonexistent. He could only use a gun. That was it. Every single thing he could create were basically just a beam of prismatic Unity that had unprecedented energy and power.

It was barbaric. There was no design or sophistication with his work.

The only other creation of his that wasn’t destructive was his Unity Clones.

But even they weren’t something that he had created by himself. It was something that he saw back when he visited the strange, ancient world of the Antique. He had a feeling that it was made by the Ancient Era humans, meaning he had just copied something they created.

He hadn’t truly wielded Unity before.

But perhaps, he should start now. Perhaps, he should start to see how he could truly master the elements of the world.

ChatJK6, how can I master Unity?

[The complexity of the subject you have chosen is far beyond my calculating capabilities,] said his AI assistant. [It is recommended for you to upgrade your own knowledge for us to progress in this certain matter.]

As expected, he just needed to study more. Perhaps, more books about the Ancient Era would bring him more clues about how the people of that time used Unity to their own advantage.

However, the books and scrolls detailing that topic were extremely rare and scarce. He had a feeling that he had already read and consumed every single book that could be purchased on the market.

Meaning, he had to find a new deep well of books that couldn’t be found anywhere else in the world.

This led him to only one place.

The Guild of Arcana.

That organization hoarded all kinds of mystical knowledge about the Ancient Era. They definitely had scrolls and forbidden books about Unity that they weren’t telling anybody else.

Should I just knock on their doors and ask if I could have a peek at their library?

Of course, he’d be turned away if he actually said that to them. Thankfully, he had a few friends who he could ask for advice regarding this problem.

...

...

...

"You want to visit our library?" Seberus asked, his eyebrows raising in excitement. "Are you finally taking interest in your mystical studies! Finally"

"If I were, then can you help me enter their library?"

Seberus rubbed his white beard. "Of course! Just walk through their door!"

"That easily?"

"Yeah. Their library is public. Anyone who wants to read books there could enter their library."

Michael shook his head. "But what if I already know everything there is to know about public knowledge? Perhaps, I want to learn something that is not known to anybody else. Maybe, some secret knowledge and tomes..."

Seberus eyed Michael askance. "Aha... so you want a peek at our Arcane knowledge... Unfortunately, no one is allowed to enter that part of the library. Only Mystic Masters have the authority to do so."

Michael shook his head in disappointment. It was a ’catch-22’.

He needed to become a 9-star magician if he wanted to become a Mystic Master. But if he wanted to advance as a 9-star wizard, he needed to first learn about Unity. But if he wanted to learn Unity, he needed to enter their secret library!

"Can’t you give me a pass?"

"No can do, boyo. The library is something that even Mystic Masters cannot so easily tamper with."

"Why?"

"Well, don’t tell anyone I told you this, but we didn’t build our library, if you know what I’m saying," Seberus said, winking.

"What do you..."

Then, it clicked. "The ancient humans..."

Seberus nodded. "Yes, that library is something that they created. We only retrofitted it to use as our own. We also serve as its protector. After all, it’s our only true connection to the ancient era."

Michael was now more sure than ever. He needed to see that library, even if he wasn’t allowed to enter the secret arcane knowledge inside.

If that library was made by ancient humans, then they must have implemented Unity there too!
