Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1429: Thin layer

Chapter 1429: Thin layer

Erich couldn’t believe his eyes. The leader of Reborn was actually using his own Nascent Armor in order to protect the car!

No wonder it was able to easily defend itself against the other Nascent Influences. The only way to explain that was if the car was made out of Aubility Power armor itself!

"But... but how is that even possible?!"

It wasn’t unheard of to see a Nascent Spirit cultivator lend their Armor to someone else. However, that usually only consisted of another person wearing that armor.

That was a car. Not a person. No Nascent Spirit cultivator could forge or manipulate their own Nascent Armors to fit into a different structure, much less use it to reinforce an automobile!

Erich looked towards the young golden-haired man at the VIP section.

Everyone told him that Michael was a genius when it came to his cultivation. But perhaps, this was the only time when Erich actually believed those claims. If he could manipulate his own Nascent Armor with such ease, then his control over his own power was even greater than Erich’s!

"And he’s not afraid of being attacked. With his Nascent Armor somewhere else, he’s completely vulnerable to any attack from a Nascent Spirit cultivator.

I don’t know if he’s bold, brave, or just plain stupid."

Of course, the truth was neither of those things. Michael was just being practical.

After all, he didn’t need to leave himself vulnerable just to enforce Elizabeth’s F1 car with a protective Nascent Armor.

His golden nanoparticles were versatile. They took on any form or shape that his mind desired. They could arrange themselves in a very thin layer, thinner than even hair itself!

In fact, that’s what he did with the Rebornian automobile. He used a very thin layer of his golden nanoparticles to protect the car, while the rest of his Nascent Armor was still in reserve in his body.

After all, his Nascent Armor didn’t protect him based on how thick it was. As long as it covered the surface of an object, then his Armor would be able to protect against any Influence from a similarly-powered opponent with ease.

Of course, he didn’t tell this to anybody but himself.

It was a trap he laid out. A lure. If someone were to notice what he did, they would probably be tempted to attack him even in broad daylight. After all, when else could they find him without a Nascent Armor to protect himself with?

But of course, if they did attack him, his Nascent Armor would emerge in an instant.

And if that wasn’t enough, with just a single thought, the golden nanoparticles in Elizabeth’s car would teleport back over towards him for support. But that was a last resort.

Anyway, he put his focus back on the race.

Elizabeth was slowly clawing her way through the rankings. It wouldn’t be long until she overtook the others for first place.

Actually, he wasn’t worried about her losing. He was worried about something else.

Or someone else.

On the corner of his eyes, he saw Worcester Oscorpe looking at him from afar.

The 1st ranked heir of the Oscorpe Conglomerate was alone in his garage. No bodyguard, no assistant, and no helper to accompany him.

He’s definitely planning something, Michael thought. His automobile is the ghost car. I told Elizabeth to keep her eyes on it. Hopefully, she heeded my warning.

As the race continued, Michael suddenly felt something stir at his feet.

It was his shadow. The two Shadow Orc Chieftains were here to report something to him.

"BU TO TO! Supreme Leader, we have detected some anomalies."

"RAH TA TA! Just as you expected, milord. The Worcester company is planning something to disrupt the race."

Michael immediately closed his eyes, before transferring his consciousness over to a clone that he left behind in the Shadow Orcs’ lair.

Here in the darkness, underneath the Nation of Reborn, Michael saw multiple screens attached on the walls. It showed surveillance footage of every single inch of the racing circuit. Even the shadows were not spared.

"I was able to detect a high-level spell being used by those magicians, Supreme Leader."

Narito pointed towards the Mystic Masters in their VIP area.

"This magic was directed towards Worester Oscorpe. The two exchanged messages, but we were unable to intercept them for fear of being found out," said Sasuki.

Michael wasn’t surprised. These people were Mystic Masters and Nascent Spirit cultivators. No one could snoop into their conversations without them knowing about it.

The fact that the Shadow Orcs were even able to detect their conversation was impressive enough.

"This probably means that they’re going to be working together," Michael surmised. "Have your Shadow Orcs made the proper preparations?"

The two Orc Chieftains nodded. "Yes, Supreme Leader. We have our High Penumbras stationed in the racing circuit, ready to be deployed into action at any moment."

"Good. We can’t let them disrupt the race. According to Castelle, the stock of the Reborn company is rising tremendously."

With the entertaining race, a lot of the guests were more than willing to purchase food and refreshments.

McTony’s were there to satiate them. It wasn’t long before they became hooked on the spice in the fried chicken. Paired with the ice cream, they were basically addicted to eating from their restaurant.

Then, in each VIP section, he had made sure to fill it to the brim with electric appliances.

He slowly allowed them to get accustomed to living in luxury. In comfort. In the life of a Rebornian citizen.

The Rebornian attendants reported that about 90% of their targets were interested in buying more products from Reborn.

Their marketing strategy was working! They were being introduced to the Elite Society through their subconsciousness!

As long as this continued, they could keep on growing the reputation of their company. And if that succeeded, their expansion to the Elite Society would be all but guaranteed.

But of course, he also knew that the inverse was true.
