Chapter 1431: Curves

Elizabeth strode through the racing track, keeping her whole focus on the balance between acceleration and braking.

Unlike most, if not all of the automobiles in this race, the Rebornian engineers knew how important shifting gears was when it came to the balance of speed.

They just copied the automatic cars that Reborn sold on the market, after all. They still do not understand it fully.

So, Elizabeth was able to keep her momentum steady, keep accelerating at the right times, when the other cars were forced to use their Aubility Powers to either slow down or keep their speed while breaking the rules of reality.

And so, through sheer skill, she reached the 4th place. Only four more automobiles to surpass before she eventually reached 1st place.

In front of her, the Ship Car tried its best to cruise through the track, while making sure that the other automobiles were mired down by their environment.

Elizabeth let her car’s natural defenses break through the Influenced environment.

Seeing her about to overtake, the ship car launched a cannon ball to try and push it away from the track.

The cannon ball hit the back of her car. It didn’t result in a single dent. However, it did cause the rear of her car to be pushed to the left, causing the entire frame to rotate uncontrollably.

"Yes! Don’t let them overtake!"

Wheels screeched as Elizabeth’s car spun through the track. But despite this horrible situation, she kept a straight face. Then, she swiftly maneuvered her car sideways, just as the track was about to reach a curve!

And because she was already drifting, she didn’t have to step on the breaks in order to follow the road!

In comparison to her, the Ship Car found itself having to slow down considerably in the curve. Even if water suddenly gushed from its right side, pushing it towards the curve, it still couldn’t quite keep up with the F1 car’s speed.

Elizabeth broke through, immediately shifting her gears till she reached top speed in a matter of a few seconds!

3rd place!

Now, the only ones in front of her were the Ghost Car and the Fiery Car! Both of which were representatives of the Oscorpe Conglomerate and the Vanderbilt Family respectively.

Jobe Vanderbilt sat in his garage, looking at the scene with furrowed brows. "I underestimated their car. That woman is skilled in her craft."

Meanwhile, Elizabeth continued her momentum and pulled up right next to the Ghost Car.

With the Ghost Car not interacting with anything on the race track, it ran unimpeded through the road. Nothing could stop its momentum, not even the curves as it could simply run through the barricades and pass the curves entirely.

"Hahaha, you think that being a ghost helps you? I’ll show you why this is the land of the living!"

Elizabeth smiled as both of their cars reached a curve. As expected, the Ghost Car didn’t even break a single bit. It simply continued on forwards to run through the grass.

She immediately hit on the breaks as she approached the curve. And it was at this moment that the ghost car immediately left her behind in smoke.

"Ah! That was close! I thought that the Rebornian car would overtake the ghost car!"

"It’s too bad. There’s only one lap left! And with it being mostly curved, I don’t think the Rebornian car would catch up anytime soon."

"Still, third place. That’s already commendable!"

It was at this moment that the crowd watched as Elizabeth’s car suddenly bumped the barricades!

"What’s she doing?!"

"Does she intend to crash her car?!"

"No wait! Look!"

Everyone thought the Rebornian car would lose all of its momentum. But the exact opposite happened.

Suddenly, the F1 car began to accelerate through the curve, just inches away from the barricade! It completely broke the rules of physics, leading many to believe that they had used an Aubility Power.

"Wait... look closely!" someone from the crowd shouted. "Look at the wheels!"

Elizabeth’s wheels were currently inserted into the slight depression on the curb!

And instantly, people realized what she had done!

She had basically used the curb as a railroad! This way, even if she put her feet on the accelerator, her car would still follow the curve and not crash through the barricade!

It was a genius move!"

"Hahahahaha!" Michael laughed. "Looks like she learned a lot from that show I used to watch on Earth."

With Elizabeth riding the curve, her acceleration almost reached the same speed as when she was racing in a straight line!

This allowed her to catch up to the Ghost Car in no time.

And since the upcoming track had a lot of curves, Elizabeth was able to use the same technique to ride through the remainder of the track.

She kept accelerating, using the momentum of the curve to completely overtake the Ghost Car!

It tried to accelerate forwards, but it simply couldn’t compare to the F1 car! For once, the fact that their car couldn’t interact with the real world became a real detriment!

Worcester frowned as he saw this. "Damn it!"

Meanwhile, Elizabeth continued on forwards, finally coming side to side with the Fiery Car.

Vanderbilt versus Reborn. It was the battle between David and Goliath.

"Use every single thing in our arsenal," Jobe Vanderbilt commanded. "Do not lose this race."

Immediately, the driver of the Fiery Car downed a cultivation pill. Aubility Power exploded out of his body as his cultivation level increased by a whole level!

"WHAT?!" Erich Hephaestus screamed. Then, he looked at the representatives from Sinclair’s Elixir. "You also gave them the pills?!"

And instead of answering him, the men and women apothecary simply shrugged their shoulders.

It was as if they were saying it was only natural!

They didn’t say that their temporary alliance was temporary. For Sinclair’s Elixir, who didn’t have an automobile in this race, their best move was to sponsor as many drivers as possible. So that in the end, whoever won will still have claimed victory because of their pills, thereby increasing their reputation.
