Chapter 1461: Sim
Chapter 1461: Sim
"You don’t have to believe," Michael said to Kong. "You just have to look inside your heart. Listen to that Nascent Spirit core in your chest. It will tell you what your body already knows."
Kong listened to Michael’s words and closed his eyes.
A few seconds later, a golden light suddenly emanated out of Kong’s chest. It was filled with Nascent Spirit power. Michael realized that it was Kong using his Nascent Influence to spread something far out into the streets of Reborn!
It wasn’t long before the rubble in the ground began to move and change. It looked like something was picking them up and pushing them back into the broken buildings!
Michael used his unique vision to see a large spirited figure of Kong in the skies. As big as a giant. His hands were going down onto the streets of Reborn and using the broken rubble as a clay material to remold the structures that had once been destroyed.
It took only a few seconds. The skyscrapers that had been bent and shattered on the ground were rebuilt into their exact same style one day ago.
The streets, which had been filled with craters, were soon fixed as the concrete rubble on he ground began to melt, and soon pour back onto the streets, only to reharden a few seconds later.
It felt like Kong was a god, and the Nation of Reborn was his own terrarium. With only a single thought, with only one swipe of his fingers, he was able to move, create, and destroy anything here in the Nation of Reborn as he saw fit.
The citizens of Reborn began to celebrate and cheer into the wind as they saw their houses and their buildings being restored right in front of their very own eyes.
And not only that, but there were a few things that had changed from the original. There were some parts of the streets that had become wider. Some pathways become more streamlined. Some buildings becoming more environmentally friendly.
It barely took Kong five minutes before all the damage that the Worcester army had done on the Nation of Reborn were basically nullified.
Soon after that, the Nascent Spirit Influence around Kong began to subside. He opened his eyes, taking deep breaths as he did so.
"How was it?" Michael asked him.
"I felt like I could do anything," Kong replied. "If I wanted to destroy a building, I could do so with a thought. If I wanted to move a building, I could do so with a thought.
Not only that, I felt like I had full control of the Nation. Every road, every lightpost, every steel beam on the buildings. I feel like I have full control of them.
And not only that, I feel the satisfaction of the Rebornian Citizens around the nation. I realized that people weren’t happy with the roads that I built before. So, with this power, I was able to change the pathways just enough so that it would be more convenient for them."
Kong became more and more excited as he talked. "I feel like I could do so much more! I feel like anything that I have in my imagination, I could build!"
Michael couldn’t help but laugh.
Is this what Kong’s power is now? He’s able to play a city-building game in reality?
The Yellow Mankey Chief Engineer was able to move, copy-paste, and edit any structure in the Nation of Reborn. He could also see the satisfaction of the citizens, just like that popular simulation game back in his old world.
"I want to restore the other parts of our Territory... but I feel drained," said Kong.
It seemed that this power also extended to the other territories of Reborn.
Kong and Michael talked a bit more, and Michael was able to find out the reason why.
For the territories who were fully integrated to Reborn, Kong could easily edit them as he pleased just like the Nation of Reborn. But for those who were just allies with Reborn, they were a little bit harder for Kong to change.
The distance didn’t matter. Only their connection to Reborn.
Kong’s exhaustion was also taken into that fact. Theoretically, Kong could destroy every single building in Reborn and rebuild it into something new. Or he could even move the Nation somewhere in a completely different location.
However, that would take too much energy from him. And since Kong had just awakened into a Nascent Spirit cultivator, he still didn’t have much energy to spare.
At most, the best he could do right now was restore the buildings and structures that were destroyed from the invasion.
"Don’t worry, boss. With this power, I will be able to much better protect Reborn in the future!"
There was a sense of drive in Kong’s eyes. A sense of responsibility that were now ladened in his vision.
In some way, Kong felt responsible for all the destruction and devastation that the nation of Reborn experienced. In his perspective, if he had just built a better structure, the Worcester company wouldn’t have been able to siege past their walls in the first place.
And also, most of the injuries that the citizens experienced were from the debris from the falling buildings around them.
So, Kong felt a little responsible for everything.
And with this new Nascent Spirit power, he vowed to himself that this would never happen again. He would make sure that no one could disrupt the sanctity of their nation ever again!
It was at this point that the festivities began for the Nation of Reborn. They didn’t waste any time. With the help of Kong rebuilding the Nation, it became much easier to set up the festival.
Michael didn’t join them. Instead, he turned his focus into something a little more serious.
He turned his attention towards the darkness in Reborn.
He teleported into the Lair of the Shadows underneath the Nation of Reborn itself.
Here, thousands upon thousands of Shadow Orcs had gathered. They kneeled at him as he appeared in front of them.
