Chapter 1462: Freedom
Chapter 1462: Freedom
Michael looked at them all and nodded. Beside him, two figures emerged. Narito and Sasuki, clad in their shadow Nascent Armor kneeled as well.
"BU TO TO!"
"RAH TA TA!"
He looked at them and asked, "where are they?’
The two Shadow Orc Chieftains then used their new Nascent Spirit Aubility Power to reveal that the shadows around them had actually turned into a different spatial dimension.
And in that dimension, Michael saw a large, floating ball of GodForge Pieces.
"This is all that we have gathered, Supreme Leader," said Narito.
This ball of GodForge pieces must have weighed tons and tons and tons. After all, just those ten Nascent Spirit generals alone had netted them more than a thousand kilograms each. At least, it was enough for ten other people to reach the Nascent Spirit realm here in the Nation of Reborn.
But then, there were also the hundreds of thousands of army soldiers that had attacked Reborn.
There were about two million of them that attacked Reborn across their entire territories. Now, for the majority of them, they remain alive. As soon as the generals were killed, they were smart enough to know that they were defeated.
So, they either tried to escape, or they surrendered. Both options ended up having them become imprisoned by the Shadow Orcs here in the Nation of Reborn.
But for those few hundred thousand, they were way too bloodthirsty to think about anything else. Even after their generals died, they still charged forwards with no regard for their lives.
And in that case, the Rebornian soldiers had no other choice but to kill them.
And the GodForge pieces gathered from their deaths were all gathered here.
Michael looked at the collection of GodForge pieces in their inventory and couldn’t help but smile.
Worcester started this invasion with the intention of making sure that the Reborn company suffered a massive setback. He wanted to ensure that they wouldn’t be able to spread their ’wreckless’ inventions into the world.
But in the end, it only helped Reborn tremendously. It had done the exact opposite of what he wanted.
Not only did the Reborn company gain a few more Nascent Spirit cultivators, but they also gained a lot of GodForge pieces in the process.
"Give these GodForge pieces to our citizens. Make every single one of them a Maugnetic," he said to the Shadow Orcs.
And upon hearing this, Narito and Sasuki were a bit shocked. "BU TO TO! But sir, this would not be enough."
Michael nodded. ’I know. Where’s the prisoners?"
The Shadow Orc Chieftains then led Michael towards a different part of the underground, towards a large cavern where millions of Worcester soldiers were imprisoned.
They were all kneeling in front of him, with their hands shackled behind their backs.
Michael could see that most of them looked at him with a bit of venom in their eyes. They looked to still be angry that they lost.
It would not be a good idea to let these people be free. They couldn’t even be put into the Rebornian prison system. There were far too many of them, which could lead to a mutiny in the end, especially since they all had Aubility Powers of their own.
"If you want freedom, you must earn it. And for you to earn it, you must be trustworthy. And for you to be trustworthy, you must be free from all your previous loyalty to Worcester," Michael announced to them all.
"You have all done a great sin. You have attacked Reborn, when Reborn had done nothing to you. In most wars, it is very much accepted for soldiers to die.
But I am giving you a second chance. I will give you a second life. But for that to happen, you must all go back from the very beginning."
Michael raised his hand. And suddenly, people found something weird in their chest.
It was as if something was moving inside their hearts.
It wasn’t long before the first drop of GodForge piece began to float out of a soldier’s body, and move up towards Michael’s position up at the top.
Then another drop. More and more of those liquid silver drops with white flames shot up and gathered in front of Michael.
The soldiers began to feel their powers draining from them. All of their cultivation, all of their hard work, they were being drained from them!
What used to be a 6th stage Body Formation cultivation, now quickly lowered down to the 5th, 4th, 3rd... up until all GodForge pieces left his body, leaving him completely mortal.
Millions of soldiers fell to the ground. They passed out after feeling the sensation of the GodForge pieces leaving their body. That was like having the blood drained out of their body. It left them cold.
But it didn’t kill them. They were just exhausted. They will recover soon.
Michael then looked at the ball of GodForge pieces in front of him. These were millions of kilograms in total. Despite the weight, Michael was still able to keep it afloat purely from the natural attraction they had for him.
It looked like a giant meteor. Barely even fitting the spacious cavern that the prisoners were in.
Then, with a flick, Michael used his shadows to store these GodForge pieces into a separate dimension.
"There," he said to the Shadow Orc Chieftains. "That should be enough to arm every single Rebornian with GodForge pieces."
The Shadow Orcs nodded and kneeled. "Thy will shall be done," they answered at the same time.
Michael then looked down at the millions of soldiers at his feet. They were all passed out.
He could have been a lot more generous. The rightful thing to do was to surrender them to the Montgomerys, who would then give the appropriate punishment for their transgressions.
But he didn’t. He kept them here and took their GodForge pieces.
Selfish? Yes. But that was because he was desperate to keep Reborn safe from now on. He didn’t want another death to happen any longer.
