Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1479: Injured?

Chapter 1479: Injured?

Michael thought things would settle down in the next few days. But as it turned out, they got even busier than before.

The Reborn company had all hands on deck as they began their expansion to the Elite Society.

Engineers were busy creating blueprints. Construction workers were busy fulfilling those plans.

Factories were pumping out products after products. Everyone worked overtime in order to fulfill an entirely new market demanding their products. The orders for their touchscreen phones were at an all-time high.

Despite the higher price point for these elite versions of the phones, the royals of the Elite Society were more than willing to purchase them at a luxurious price. And they bought them as a bulk too! After all, they had to buy one for their entire family, and the butlers and maids in their estates.

Michael didn’t know how Castelle did it. Somehow, she was able to keep track of everything and still function correctly.

Now, they were in charge of a lot of territories in the Elite Society. These were their prizes from their victory against the Upper Echelon companies, and now, from the Worcester company as well.

She was able to consolidate these new territories, and quickly convert them into something that Reborn could use.

They became hubs. They became new resource mining estates. Most of them would also eventually house the factories, train stations, and power plants that would eventually give electricity to the entirety of the Elite Society.

Michael had to spend the rest of his week simply just signing off on plans for the Reborn company.

Even with ChatJK6 by his side, he was still getting a little bit overwhelmed.

Speaking of whom...

[Currently undergoing a software update.]

[Processes will be slightly diminished for the time being....]

It seemed that his trusty old AI assistant was finally done with analyzing all of the knowledge she got from Sol, the secret library in the Guild of Arcana.

Soon enough, she would become ChatJK7. As to what this upgrade entailed, he had no idea.

But there was no rush. Unlike her previous versions, ChatJK6 no longer had to completely shut down all of her processes whenever she was going under major update.

Now, she could update while still giving him assistance. It just meant that she wouldn’t be as active in talking as she used to. At least, for a little bit.

It was too bad. She could really use her input given the kind of things he had to do recently.

After all, he didn’t just have to manage the entirety of Reborn. He also now had to manage the Guild of Arcana.

Seberus was holding down the fort while he was gone. But there were things that he still needed to solve. For example, there were a lot of correspondents from the Conglomerates and Organizations that were very curious about what happened to the Guild.

As of now, no one knew that such a massive event had happened. All they knew was the fact that Lucy was currently in hot water thanks to the scandal Michael reported in the news.

In fact, that was what most people were talking about.

...

...

...

"It’s weird... the Guild of Arcana has been awfully silent these past few hours."

"I know. With the kind of scandal that Lucy had found himself in, you would think that they would make some moves in the shadows."

"At the very least, I thought they’d retaliate against Reborn."

All over the Conglomerate social circles, this was all they could talk about.

"Something weird is going on. I just don’t know what."

"My spies have also been silent. They haven’t found anything about Worcester’s attack on Reborn."

"It’s as if his entire army vanished in the blink of an eye. An invasion that large should have made some waves in the Rebornian territory. But from what our spies could see, it seems that everything was stable over there."

Of course, a lot of people began to think that this was simply an illusion by the Reborn company.

They were hiding the damage that the Worcester company had done against them.

And so, some of these opportunistic people began to plan out a simple attack. These were the bandits and marauders who had made it their life’s mission to plunder anything from the Elite Society.

"That Reborn company has a lot of valuable products! Juicy!"

"They’re going to be delivering those products somewhere. I say we intercept them."

"I agree. This is the best time to do so. They’re in hot waters against the Guild of Arcana. And they’re still probably recovering from Worcester’s attack."

These bandits were no simple people. They had learned to be resourceful when dealing with the Elite Society.

They chose to employ powerful cultivators in their attacks.

After all, their main targets usually were Conglomerates and Upper Echelons. If they didn’t have at least one Nascent Spirit cultivator to help them, their plunders would be short-lived.

And so, when a delivery truck filled with smart phones were being delivered towards the Elite Society, these bandits made their attack.

They were smart in their process. They knew an all-out attack would only earn them the ire of the targets.

So, instead, they chose to simply take only a little bit of products at a time.

They had learned that most Conglomerates and Upper Echelon companies wouldn’t even know they were getting plundered if they only stole a little bit of product at a time.

Maybe, a box or two of phones would go missing.

They thought that, just like the other Conglomerates, the Reborn company wouldn’t notice such a discrepancy.

So, on a dark night, they started their infiltration.

A line of trucks rode through the rocky pathways. Figures attached themselves on these trucks. One of them, being a Nascent Spirit cultivator in the 1st stage.

Using his Nascent Influence, he was able to create a field of silence.

Then, with great coordination, the bandits entered the trucks and began to take a few boxes of phones from the trucks.
