Chapter 1481: Rays
Chapter 1481: Rays
Michael gathered all of the newly appointed Nascent Spirit cultivators of Reborn.
On his right were the Dragonborns: Jaku, Sheina, Umisu, and Zion.
On his left were the two Shadow Orcs Chieftains: Narito and Umisu.
Right next to them was the Chief of Engineering: Kong.
Sitting opposite him was Grieve, the old skeleton of Reborn.
And of course, one couldn’t forget Fudge, who was sitting on Michael’s lap.
All in all, they had ten Nascent Spirit cultivators in Reborn, including Michael himself. They were now a full-fledged Upper Echelon company, now edging towards becoming a Conglomerate.
Of course, that was still probably a ways away from now, seeing as everyone besides him was only in the 1st stage of the Nascent Spirit realm.
And Grieve wasn’t even a Nascent Spirit cultivator at all. The only reason Michael included him was because he had a 9-star realm in the Mystic Arts, rendering him at the same level as a Nascent Spirit cultivator. He was probably the strongest one in this room right now based on pure skill.
Of course, that wasn’t the extent of their prowess. If an emergency ever came, the Unity Clones were ready to be deployed at any second.
They were creatures who were basically the same as a Nascent Spirit cultivator, thanks to the solid Unity Armor that they wore around their bodies.
"I have gathered you all here for one simple reason," Michael said to them all. "And that is to ask you all a favor."
Everyone looked at him with expectant eyes.
"I want you all to continue helping me spread the comfort of Reborn. I want you to use your new powers to make everyone see the truth of why our nation is the very best of the best.
But in order to do so, we will have to clash with people who are a lot more powerful than we are. There could be times when we would lose. And there could even be a possibility where another tragic incident were to occur."
Zion pursed his lips, still remembering his death.
"But even so, despite all the danger, I hope that you won’t stop helping Reborn. I want you to use your powers to protect the weak and show the world that everyone deserves comfort."
After hearing his speech, everyone felt a warm sensation in the hearts. Their goals and their aspirations, at this current moment, were in line with Michael’s ideology.
"Of course, Lord Michael. You didn’t even need to ask," said Sheina.
"Hehehe! Now that I can punch people, nothing bad will ever happen again in my watch," bragged Zion.
"Yohohoho! Did something bad happen? I don’t remember, yohohoho!" Grieve laughed.
Then, the two Shadow Orc Chieftains kneeled towards Michael and saluted in their own, unique way.
"BU TO TO!"
"RAH TA TA!"
They didn’t need to say more than that. Their shouts were already an indication of the lengths that they would go to follow Michael’s orders.
"Boss... I still don’t know what kind of powers that I have," said Kong. "But I will make sure to always be in service of Reborn!"
It was at this point that the mischievous violet slime in Michael’s lap suddenly jumped up to his head and laughed.
"Yes! Yes! Just like they said, Master. I shall also be doing my very best to spread the ideology of Reborn to those who had not yet seen the light of the truth!"
Michael shook his head. "I only said this because I wanted to ensure that we are all on the same page. That includes you, Fudge. No more secrets.
From now on, we are one unit. We are the Officers of Reborn. We are the rays of sunshine that will brighten the whole world one by one."
They all gave him various responses. But he could see in their eyes that they understood what he wanted to convey.
From now on, they would be called the Rays of Reborn.
Michael was the Sun. and the Nascent Spirit cultivators of Reborn would be the Rays.
Then, Michael turned to Grieve. The old skeleton seemed completely clueless and not knowing anything about what was happening at this current moment.
"Grieve."
"Yohohho! What is it, Michael?"
"Do you want to get a body?"
This made the old skeleton freeze for a second.
In truth, Michael had found a way to restore flesh to Grieve’s body. After mastering True Unity, he knew that he was able to create anything in the world as long as he could imagine it, including a new body for Grieve.
"Wether you remember it or not, Grieve. You were once a mighty general. Someone who led an entire army to victory.
I saw a glimpse of that back then. You were able to defeat that 1st ranked general from the Worcester company all by yourself. No one could have done that. Not even my Unity Clones.
You are the only one that I can trust to teach this group how to use their new powers."
For the first time in a long time, Grieve showed a somber expression on his face. Gone was the look of tomfoolery in his skeletal structure. Now, it showed the visage of a long forgotten general that once struck fear in the hearts of his enemies.
"I may not remember who I am... but I do remember how it feels to lose something precious to me.
And now, I do not want to lose what we have. And so, if gaining a body is required for me to protect this place, then that is what I shall do."
Michael nodded, before raising his hand and conjuring a Unity Magic Circle behind him.
As he pointed towards Grieve, prismatic motes of light began to gather at Michael’s hands.
Then, they began to flow towards Grieve’s skeletal figure. They formed strands, before they began to weave themselves in his bones, becoming flesh, organs, and blood.
Michael had built Grieve, a body made out of pure Unity.
And as soon as he did, a massive shockwave emanated out of the skeleton of the First General.
